Si_Derman ref 20.05 I am willing to be corrected but my understanding is that it is too late to add a vote of no confidence at the 10 December General Meeting as you need to have the resolution in the Notice of Meeting which has already gone out. To get a general meeting would need shareholders who together have 5% of the shares to requisition one.
Lottie you have a valid point that some posts read like the poster wants the company to fail. However, since the 1 post crowd have turned up, I would guess what they actually want is a lower share price to buy.
If the company fails Lottie I loose tens of thousands. If this company fails it's down to JW for the sham of a businessman he has turned out to be. We need him removed and someone who knows how to run a business and maximise shareholder value to take charge. Look at his past 2 30% discounted placings for his ineptitude at getting a deal. The man needs to go and hopefully I can make a break even at some point. Absolutely shocking behaviour from him to pump the price (and lie) before a placing. Question is, how do we get rid? Reputation is now zilch which doesn't bode well for contracts including the flagship.
Lottie123 I think directors have already done that with £28.7m of equity raised this year given market cap was £30.5m at 31/12/20 and market cap is now £30.4m,
I invested in the company to show support for the jobs created at Arnish, very local to me. Feel badly let down tonight if the top brass have strung investors along with lies and put the company and jobs in jeopardy. Also, if the company is untrustworthy it will put doubt on gaining future contracts / partnerships.
You'd rather the company was built on misleading info as the 2 executives pocket £1mill each per annum??
I agree the tweet was misleading and having read the offical announcements, it was way over the top. It was never going to be a big money spinner so let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. Calm down and let's get an explanation. If I did not know better, I would think some of you want the company to fail.
Finally JW has been caught out, he's been lying to everyone for years, the time to abandon his sinking ship has come, goodbye Infrastrata/Harland &Wolff.
Got a screenshot of that tweet? Bet it's taken down when someone is back in the offfice.
Jabido,
That should be time in clink, right there.
The man’s a weasel
oldtramp,
I appreciate your candour.
BP On this occasion i can hardly argue your point.
As I posted at the time:
"Should 'framework agreement' be added to the Big BP Book Of BS?".
Cue much derision, as per.
It's right here plain as day. They lied to us and to the market
https://twitter.com/HarlandWolffplc/status/1457621416568832001?t=og9yNMdRHkk-MWYiqr2P_g&s=19
I think the initial problem was the BBC report that Jamie Chestnutt linked to https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-59212446
included " Regular upkeep of the 238 lifeboat stations is also included in the agreement." it was however deleted the day after.
" and will be looking at opportunities to support them, not only from Appledore, but also from all our sites across the UK."
So...the misleading bit is the initial splash about the big RNLI fleet..
With the realisation that it is initially any boat at Appledore .....with the hope ....of further expansion opportunities elsewhere..
Extremely misleading to say the least
.....and he sneakerly gets away with alot by indicating it is for boats that "come into the Appledore yard"
...and of course not all UK RNLI boats would of course travel to that part of the world
But.... even knowing that he still suggests that
" Whilst the size of each individual programme is not expected to be significant, given the size of a fleet, the Company expects meaningful cumulative volumes and revenues on an annual basis. "
Of course...how do you define "meaningful" ?
Christrdg,
We haven't moved into "shipbuilding" - how many ships has the company built and how many are they likely to build?
We have moved into the acquisition of 4 defunct yards, which have enabled the board to enrich themselves on the back of some canny political play, backed up by serial lies - nothing more.
Islandmagee is a credible project; tending it until such time as all legal consents were rewarded was the correct play for Infrastrata. However, this would have necessitated a board with a genuine vision for the future, rather than a short-term plan for self-enrichment.
I believe that Arun joined the company for the right reasons, given his history with Humbly Grove; sadly, he has caught the fat turkey twunt toxicity and sold his soul in the process.
Scum.
Naughty.
Stokey, fair play, spotted the omission of the RNLI contract from Cenkos’ latest report so are they complicit. I’ve not seen Cenkos report to verify but seems odd.
Blair Peach - We may not be happy with where the SP is but if we had not moved into shipbuilding there would not have been a a H&W as we know it today & the driver for that was JW.I take exception to your comments & if you have nothing positive to say why keep posting. You are acting like an internet troll & I for one would prefer you just left this board.
In addition if you feel JW is not good for the Company are you going to attend the General Meeting in December where I am sure you would have an opportunity to voice your opinions or are you like most trolls going to crawl back under your stone !!!!
Can we have a vote of no confindence at the GM? Call an EGM?
This stinks, even more than his usual tricks.
Need his knowledge on getting rid of the CEO si....not his skills at the helm, although he wasn't as bad as jw. He's a lying crook and needs to go. How do we get rid?
There is no doubt that JW is lying scum, as I have been posting for 2 years, to general derision.
The question is what can be done? Getting rid of him isn't an issue - he will be gone after another massive Christmas bonus, now that the raise cash is in, but what legal action can be taken? This is not my area of expertise.
Was thinking exactly the same, Jabido. On all counts.
AP, maybe not so much, but did think it. :)
