'With more than 250,000 app downloads and 100,000 registered users, Zap-Map is used by a significant amount of the fully electric EV market.'
First mover advantage and a great platform to expand and develop. Twitter and Uber platform is also free to end users, seen their market cap recently!
zap map makes ZERO income, its free, i dont see how its an investments. anyone will make a charging map for free in the future . these guys dont own the patent or rights
Looking back on the investor presentation from 30 June GE see three priority areas for decarbonising our energy system in the UK. These are:
1 Providing 100% renewable electricity form all suppliers
2 Electrification of transport
3 Heating where green gas is an easy win and a step in the right direction. So GOOD want to take this further and invest in 'heat demand technologies'. Heat pumps for domestic heating are an obvious direction of travel and there are some air source heat pumps that are a 'bolt-on' product for gas boilers.
Re Website, I think Juliette has got onto them to update the story section. The more recent photo of the crowd of workers does look quite impressive. I think they are one of those companies that finds it hard to big themselves up, so you just get v.factual info in a less glistening presentation. Info is reasonably up-to-date. Perhaps the fuel mix charts for 2019/2020 will be ready soon.
Zap map is quality and the only reason I'm in this share. Best chance of growth for this company if they don't balls it up. Maybe the zap map team could have a look at good energy's website while they're at it as it's a pretty poor experience compared to rivals (see octopus energy and their website - a company showing vision and stellar growth).
I watched the investor presentation today. Pretty positive stuff "You are never more that 4 miles from a Good Energy Generator" was one comment and "there are now over 1 million electricity generators in the UK compared to 38 twenty years ago.
Zap Map has the advantage of an interoperable payment system so you don't need different charge cards. That was one of they USP's that they mentioned.
As announced on 25 June 2020, Good Energy increased its initial 12.9% minority stake in Zap-Map to a 50.1% majority equity stake having exercised the right to convert the convertible debt element. Good Energy will continue to work closely with Zap-Map to ensure the delivery of these innovative products and services, including advisory support to accelerate the implementation of the strategy. Zap-Map will continue to benefit from the scale and resources supported by Good Energy, whilst leveraging the expertise of Good Energy in innovative technology solutions.
welcome to my watchlist
zap car makes No money at all - and these guys are pumping millions in, youll never be able to charge for the app
The dividend is deferred Good Energy will review final dividend this year according to annual statement 4/6, they do have a progressive policy and are in a great space to grow with the clean energy push:
However, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing focus on prudent cash flow management, the Board of Directors has decided to defer the final dividend previously announced. The Board has also taken the same action with regards to the 2019 employee bonus.
The Board will review this position following the publication of our interim results in September 2020, but notes that payment would only be made after careful consideration of both the Company's liquidity position at that time and the wider economic outlook as households and businesses emerge from the pandemic.
Spread is a little high. Only 17m shares issues but at just over 3% one year annual dividend pays for your buying expense. A share for long term holders and not for trading.
Weathered Covid, harvesting all this sunshine and run by genuinely motivated board unlike some FTSE companies now suspended and perhaps some about to be suspended. Revenues growing and new premises.
With orstead great news
Wishing I’d bought i
Yes, I've noticed that this is up by over 100% during the last year.
No one talks about the good uns.
I see the price of S.Div announced today, is around five pence above current market price. Surely this is encourage shareholders to be paid dividends in cash rather than shares?
Hope this is only 'the next dip' Pig.
...in just a few weeks.
Shell's entry in to the clean energy retail market has made this sector pretty hot. Big players may be looking at the likes of GOOD as an acquisition with a view to entering the sector. RDS, then who's next?
That's my best explanation. Long may this last
I was promoting them when they were on 100p which was the right time to press the button. Of course I bought but not no where near as many as I would of liked.
Came so close to getting a chunk of these when they went sub 1p - more fool me!
Big expansion plans and I may well invest on the next dip. Can see these guys flying in 5-10 years
Good Energy, the 100% renewable power company, has received an official Decision Notice from Wiltshire Council to start work on its new headquarters.
The decision follows a positive approval from the council’s strategic planning committee last month to go ahead with the project.
This latest seal of approval means the company can start the next phase of its work on the project. This comes in two parts; first, the internal design work will draw out the spaces where employees will work every day. Good Energy has appointed Bath-based Interaction to design the new office space.
Physical works are also due to take place on the site over the next month. This includes preliminary digging to prepare the area for construction work later this year.
Fran Woodward, Good Energy’s Director of People & Culture, said: “We are delighted to receive the council’s backing to build our new headquarters. The decision secures our long-term future in Chippenham, our home for the past 20 years.
“Our partnership with local companies, such as Interaction, will mean the project can now come to life over the coming months.”
Dieter Wood, Interaction’s managing director, commented: “We’re delighted to be working alongside Good Energy, to design and deliver a workspace that will truly reflect the culture and aspirations of such an innovative company.
“The design is well underway, and consultation with employees across the company has helped to shape the concepts so far – with emphasis on an agile, healthy, and sustainable provision that will benefit employee, customer and contractors alike.”
The completed headquarters is slated for completion in late 2020.
I should have bought a pile of these shares at 95p.
If you thought last week was GOOD take a look at this week. :)
Doing pretty well today too. We've even got onto the leaders board for once.
