Investors will see the value here. GMR is heading North!!!
The proposal involved Ash giving up his 40K Annual Fee which in fact is one less "Job for the boy! Much more likely it was a deal done BoD to BoD
Morbox, Why on earth would GMR strike a deal with one of its non-execs if it was of no benefit to GMR. Hardly jobs for the boys if Chris Ash had to resign his non-exec position as a result. Sounds like mutually beneficial to me and maybe this is a new direction for GMR to start incorporating other suppliers' games. New revenue streams always welcome.
I’m not in but looks like bloody good news to me!
Wish I had funds spare. I might manage to free some up to buy in here if a certain stock of mine performs well this week.,
It’s ok news but Chris Ash was a non-exe director, so a bit of “jobs for the boys”. I can imagine that Mr Ash said “I wonder how can I get my games in to the US, I know let’s use GMR as a back door”. Let’s hope there’s a true income stream, time will tell.
Gaming Realms adds new revenue line in a first of its kind deal for GMR. Great new move!
"At the same time, we are very excited to be adding a new revenue line to our business by building a selection of 4ThePlayer.com's games into our platform. Their portfolio of games complements Gaming Realms' own Slingo content, and their decision to partner with us highlights the strength of our distribution network in the U.S."
In keeping with their new strategy, in August Scientific Games acquired Australian slot developer Lightning Box. Who else might they have on their radar?!!

SG are making some interesting moves. They recently appointed a new CFO, have just agreed the sale of their Sports Betting company and they plan to sell their Lottery division next.
The aim is to concentrate on building their online casino games division, Scientific Games Interactive.
"At the conclusion of this process, the new company will consist of leading Gaming, iGaming and SciPlay businesses, all of which have great momentum and will collectively deliver great value. We will capitalize on the increasing convergence of these businesses, as players look to play their favorite games wherever and whenever they want to play. As the leading cross-platform global game company, we are uniquely positioned to take advantage of the incredible industry transition that is underway. Given this significant opportunity, we are targeting our digital businesses to be comparable in size to the land-based gaming business within three years. I'm confident that, with these steps, we are well positioned for future growth prospects."
“I see”
See see on MGM Pennsylvania, Slingo Extreme is being advertised on the first page “New” game. Every punter helps!
Oh dear, lol! Must be worth a few hundred now.
That’s the one. People like me, only having early 80’s games on my IPad! and wishing I hadn’t sold my Sinclair ZX80 (with box) for £5 when I upgraded to a Vic 20, Doh!
Was it Lobestermania? On the BetMGM blog they refer to the graphics as cozy nostalgia. I suppose it must have been designed for the people who have a hankering for that type of nostalgic feel to the interface. At least it was still good to play!
Totally with you, I’m here for the company to expand and increase profitability, thus adding share holder value. Some weeks ago I had a look on the MGM online games site, only one of GMR games were available to play. Can’t remember which one but the re-view was just ok, as it said something like good to play but outdated graphics! Hopefully more will (have been added). I’ll have a look over the weekend.
Also it would be good to see how much profitability on the license fees (may do some digging).
Yes, interesting point. I'm not sure how these things pan out but if a game is popular and you remove it from your site because a rival owns it then you're just forcing your customers to go to your rivals site.
I think it was Peroni who suggested that Scientific Games could be a suitor so there are others to consider too.
Besides I'm not really here for a buyout. If it comes at a good price then fair enough, but we're only just getting going with the US market and then, as you say, Canada has been added to the table now too.
Yes we'd all like things to move faster, but once we start making good and regular profits... and what Truro is waiting for starts getting whispered - the D word (dividends), then the institional investors should start showing more of an interest. Then it becomes one to tuck away and reap the rewards in terms of both capital growth + interest (dividends) - the double whammy every investor dreams of.
So buy out or not, it's a win-win as far as I can see - and we'd probably be better off in the medium term if we don't get bought out.
Cheers for the link, Alocasia. Any thoughts on prospects of a buyout. The issue I see GMR have fingers in many pies. I can only see a private equity company being interested. The issue is, for example, if MGM wanted to buy GMR the other companies being served by GMR wouldn’t want to be involved and remove the games from their platforms. Anyway, probably along time away and l’ll just keep enjoying the US expansion (not forgetting Canada).
igaming revenues soaring.
Where else but this sector can you see this sort of continued month-on-month growth right now ?
The next trading update should be interesting.

Mark Blandford bought 280,000 shares at this price in June so clearly good value at these levels and after next positive RNS should be back in the 40s.
Yes, the M&A activity in this sector is mindboggling. You must be doing well Peter having a stake in so many of them. Gamesys takeover finalises next week too. Once the bigger fish have been swallowed up, those left standing will start noticing the smaller fry with the big potential. Our time will come one way or another. I think we're going to do well on our own anyway, but then a potential buyer can see that too so it's all good.
And now DraftKings have made an offer for Entain (another of my holdings thankfully). That could be a fascinating tussle between DraftKings and MGM.
I know we are small fish to those companies but with our continued growth, I am sure an offer will come in due course and that is a very good reason to hold to add to the underlying strength of the company's growth.
As you know GMR has a relationship with RSI. Big speculation in the US now is that Fanatics might acquire RSI. Here is an article on this. https://www.casino.org/news/fanatics-reportedly-talking-takeover-with-rush-street-interactive-others/
Will be interesting to see what happens. As it is I am invested in RSI as well as GMR. I still think that GMR has a good chance of being taken over at some point in the next 12 months as the gaming world consolidates. Last month, DraftKings’ $1.56 billion all-stock purchase of Golden Nugget Online Gaming was announced.
Fantastic. Thanks troajan.
Me too!
Align Research confirm GMR undervalued by 42%

Me Too! It's almost impossible to see a downside. Future revenues and profits are very visible and decisions re Dividends will be on the cards this current year or at least next year. I can't help feeling that we will be a T/O target which I'm in two minds about as I'd like to see what we can do on our own.
