Answers on a postcard Moneyman.
Well there was nothing in that interview to say we are going to leave a penny piece behind anytime soon, just plenty of waffle with his new bezzy mate Charles bulling him up.
Deliver something Colin ffs and prove us doubters wrong.
Hey Levi … making associations with unrelated events is the sign of desperation.
Essentially any positive you will make into a negative so I wonder why you hang around here ?
We have a mining licence but you were spouting off about it never coming … now we have one you go off on a tangent and state we won’t use it.
Honestly …
Hey whowrotethis check out how long Afp have had a mining licence for Ombongo. The situation is exactly the same. Blah blah easy open pit operation. You have to laugh how he keeps getting away with the same old waffle.
He may get an open pit up and running Analytical but it won't be in a time frame anyone here is going to be happy with. There won't be a sod cut on that project in the next 18mths unless it is to put another drill pad down.
Keep dreaming though ;-)
He will get the open pit up and running - most if not all capex outsourced to Opex. The FCF will pay for further drilling within the license - the deeps in particular are interesting for obvious reasons. He mentioned that IOCG was likely a true IOCG - IYKYK what that means. So cash generation and drill out further in highly prospective assets. The land grab for assets in Zambia means GLR have very attractive licenses. Yesterday he said an open pit of a certain size - like what GLR has without mentioning the name. Is manageable for a Junior. Run the numbers … he will fatten the Luansobe open pit calf IMO and sell it as a profitable mine with all the other potential thrown in.
Chief Ramper aka Colin Bird ;-)
Colin sure can talk the talk but for once can he actually walk the walk and deliver some material returns for shareholders?
Levi, I think he said good mining situations are bought not sold . By which i guess he meant he expected to be approached whilst he is "getting on with things".
We will have the small scale license approval RNS’d soon. We know the status of that. That’s one huge step nearer. We know they have discussed a start in September with Cooper lemon on a previous podcast. We have guys on site yesterday - maybe they were just ramblers :-)
Levi has spoken ... yet we now have a mining licence and Levi was dubious of that a very short time ago.
Yes Colin is a smooth talker and also quite a fast talker and the sound quality makes it a little tricky to follow. Nonetheless if he said anything new or interesting I am happy to be enlightened . He does consistently protest that the link between copper prices and junior copper miners has been lost. This call option is reflected in the majors but I guess there is insufficient confidence in the ability of juniors to deliver for it to transfer to the micros. I have yet again , caved in at the the low price have bought some more GLR as I like the portfolio and it seems better placed than most AIM to benefit if the current bull run in copper and gold continues. And I dont think CB has a secret alias on this BB. It would not be his style. I would not have been surprised if his slippery predecessor Lawrence had used one.
Well what I heard is 'nothing' is for sale, especially Luansobe, so those dreaming up big numbers and stories of a sale are for the birds, excuse the pun.
What we will see is talks of an easy open pit being mentioned again and again and again and Colin will find an excuse to put some more holes in the ground while production remains a mirage.
Same story at Afp. Ombongo simple open pit blah blah someone to build the infrastructure blah blah and we are still not even near any of those things happening.
But the deluded will continue to believe this is different to his other companies lmao.
Nice dig Iky. You'll be saying that I am CB again. Rolls eyes at the obvious... I'll listen to it later as there probably is something in there that has been missed.
Or could it be possible my source of information was a colin ploy??? Mmmmm. I do wonder.
Cyber is that a genuin question or a dig.... either way colin himself alluded to the Chinese being around our kamatavi project. Why talks have not progressed is anyone's guess, in this interview he clearly stated sfr is not the current priority, maybe the same re kamatavi..
No I have not heard anything recently nor have i seeked to ask.
Colin is a smooth talker , lets hope he pulls something off. Gla
Interesting take Iky, and not impossible I suppose - any word from your mate/contact who was convinced a deal RNS was imminent pre-Christmas and then pre-Easter?
Out now on YouTube
After listening to this interview regarding glr, i personally have not heard anything new to be honest.
I feel more convinced colin HAS a mouthpiece or two to keep things ticking aling on this bb, his made too many references to the bb's and it definitely feels like there's more to it, i won't mention any names think most can work it out.
We await some news soon. Gla

Prickly, there are plenty on here who are consistently the opposite of bullish, and often sound like they have invested elsewhere but carry their gripes to this BB even though GLR has a far better portfolio than most juniors on AIM including but not limited to other CB group companies. Research is what keeps me invested. Pay your money, take your choice.
Spot on prickly. Great quote bythe way.
Anyone got any idea as to how long the paperwork should take to arrive? One week or one month?
Analytical has been consistently bullish . I think he is only concerned with GLR and has not been burned by investing in other CB companies. Personally CB has been a big let down with all his ventures but I hope that GLR may make up for some of the other companies where investors have taken a pasting. We are now focussed on southern Africa which is now his giant race course and he has placed large bets on several horses . If a few come in we shall all be very happy but he has not had a winner for such along time that the punters are running out of cash and enthusiasm. One of my favourite expressions i "he displays the fragile buoyancy of a loser on a temporary winning streak". This is how most of the posters feel when GLR briefly spikes but we need a real win please Colin.
'once Colin announces' hmmm the wait goes on and not just on Luansobe.
Let's hope the money coming to us next week is not kicked down the road.
Not defensive Iky. Just looking forward to how it unfolds. We have a mining license in Zambia - how many Juniors across AIM, ASX, TSX can say that! Once Colin announces something really good it's off to the races with that project and several others. :-)
Chill Ana, it was a joke mate.... oooofff you ge too defensive too quick...
M of the same mind. CB has made mistakes in the past Star Zinc being one of them. That said, he has pulled a blinder with the portfolio we have, and at such good prices - well before the world realised that actually we will be desperate for the commodities we now have in several different areas.
