Following on from #3, how intense a stress test do they envisage and for how long?
Anything significant would require a decent volume and everyone might as well test everything from finding a buyer, agreeing a price for KBT, production, transfer, export through Ceyhan, invoicing and payment protocols under SOMO.
I can’t see how they can do anything meaningful without the cooperation of APIKUR who are surviving on lower realised prices than before but cash up front.
well they are going to have to put something in it to test and it ain’t barzani’s ****.
#1 unverifiable source speaking on terms of secrecy - remember the Erdogan visiting next week story :)
#2 soon - hmmm, how soon?
#3 testing after pipeline repairs given clean bill of health by independent assessor is routine and necessary - at what % of max flow rate are they going to test?
#4 testing soon does not necessarily mean it will open for normal export after (soon + a bit). Just means it will be ready IF they sort the politics out.
Reverse the thinking, how embarrassing for all involved, and career ending for you, would it be if you were the senior technician and the politicians suddenly forged an agreement and you hadn’t bothered to test the pipeline…
…. just the rulling familly creamoffs to thrash out then (and that could take a lot of biscuit meetings), so a long way to go still.
Well in the absence of better news it might be well to top up your half empty glass mr ponzi.
Look like all is going to plan. Tomorrow should be a good day!
Near future!!
So let's say either next week or next year??
I'll go for next year ...
KRG Oil Exports to Resume as Test Soon: Source
https://www.basnews.com/en/babat/824509
ERBIL — Crude exports from the Kurdistan Region will resume through Turkey's Ceyhan Port in the near future as a test trial in the first phase, according to sources.
A delegation from Iraq's oil marketing company SOMO, Iraq's ministry of oil, and Kurdistan Region's ministry of natural resources visited Turkey recently to push for a speedy resumption of Kurdistan's oil flows, which will soon restart as a test trial in the beginning, Kurdistan 24 reported today, citing sources from SOMO.
Moreover, the Iraq Oil Report website confirmed on Saturday that these meetings have taken place, adding that progress has been made during these trilateral talks: "A flurry of technical meetings between Turkish and Iraqi officials in recent days suggests there is revived momentum in negotiations to reopen the Iraq-Turkey oil export pipeline."

I will have to decline your kind offer Straycat, but good luck with any other endeavours you seek.
Crazy old world these days!!
Maybe you identify as a dustbin...........full of c**p and only taken out once a week.
Joking of course.
Back to good ol GKP, far less complicated........would you believe!!
'...but over time i came to conclusion that straycat is female.' per ccc.
and then being decried as a summertime/wintertime transgen **** by putup..
i love that image!
i can also see myself doing tricks in st bart's then aspen for the right clientele , because i'm very attractive(for now)!!!
you're both right. i just didn't know i was transgen!!
i need to seriously question my sexuality...however, personal e-mail will be provided on request.
if either of you are interested!!!
what a load of b*llocks.
funny though.
Don't hold your breath just yet !! I have written off the pipeline opening this year. We are miles away from that happening yet.
But happy with GKP selling locally while takes another month or a year to sort out .
The manipulation while continue for a while yet as we bounce down to low 80s and up to very low 100s.
Just trade the 20p swings like everyone else.
The post from CCC just below this one references the two blockers I mentioned and adds in an another couple that Turkey also want sorting.
“Turkey has staked out an aggressive opening position, demanding the nullification of the $1.5 billion fine, the abandonment of the second leg of the case, an increase in transit fees, and Baghdad’s approval of the long-term energy agreement it signed with Erbil. Despite Ankara’s tough opening position, Baghdad has the leverage, with two legal opinions supporting its view.”
So what’s the probability that this is a slam dunk, no chance of the pipeline not opening soon, when you then read, “The Turkish demands are nonstarters for Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani. His authority and space for maneuver are constrained by the factions that helped put him in power. These factions generally oppose Turkish interests in Iraq.”
The company is in survival mode, the FGI are sending money to keep Kurdistan from falling apart.
#1 Anyone who thinks the pipeline will open tomorrow, next week, next month really IMO needs to reconsider how realistic they are being.
#2 At some stage, Iraq must consider that the Turkish demands cross too many red lines and there is zero point in talking to them. Time for them to survive until they construct an alternative export route.
One man's opinion, but the article generally lays out the deep issues facing the KRG, with the answer an obvious one, but based on past history failures i can see this rumbling on for some time, unless of course someone buckles under the pressure but there lies the problem..........

"is an insult to all of those PIs who have put their investment and judgment into a Company that may/may not fulfill its potential. "
No, it's an insult only to the many who post absolute cr*p consistently here
Ha! CCC. fair cop. I should have said 'hot girl/boy summer'. Works either way depending on your preference. Bonus points if you kick that 'summer' off with December in St Barts and then roll through winter in Aspen and onward through Europe.
Have a good weekend all.
The wheels are grinding onwards towards the pipeline opening 🔥 I'm praying for a dividend announcement on Monday by Polymetal, so I can dig into my emergency money for a few more of these 🤞
I might be wrong and apologies to Stray if i am, but over time i came to conclusion Straycat is female.
So i had a laugh with putup's " hot young blonde " suggestion.
US govt. working on an agreement. 'Meetings held at UN General Assembly focused on importance of dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad to resolve disputes... US is attempting to reach a closer relationship between Baghdad and Ankara to resolve issues and resume oil exports'.

Humour from PUTUP! Who knew?
Good on you PUTUP.
Problem is, comments like:-
'Reading this BB provides endless entertainment.';
is an insult to all of those PIs who have put their investment and judgment into a Company that may/may not fulfill its potential.
And it's incumbent on investors like us that we try and introduce a detailed financial perspective on what's possible. And what's not, albeit from a distant perspective without any visible reference to our credentials for validation purposes
As .for my wealth (if I have any!), well I've now made my mind up and GKP seems to me to be a good bet.
It's not a deal breaker for me if I'm wrong, but I reckon it's an investment proposition I want to be a part of..
As for sex...I get my quota. Even though I'm butt ugly !!
But thanks for your interest. xx
How many thousands of comments can be written about absolutely nothing?
Nah. None at all.
Reading this BB provides endless entertainment. Especially such pearls of wisdom.
PS: Take your £250k and get yourself a hot young blonde and have a 'hot girl summer' next year. You'll not regret it on your death bed. Trust me.
Begining of this year on one of gkp meeting. I sent a question to GKP, what contingency plan is there If the pipeline closed? . Is there other ways to export the oil. (Back up plan) no reply from them ( I sold some of my gkp shares)and then next thing you know the pipeline closed. This time there is a 99% chance the pipeline will open most likely in this year (on earlier than October) as some of the turkey meeting where suggesting. There will be a report soon on the pipeline review which will push the SP up. And than maybe a week after talks about opening. 100gbx is the good position to buy
You're obviously in a lot of pain here PUTUP.
You need to settle into the new circumstances and simply chin it. Based on GKP's new trading environment.
Or F*ck off and take your lower profit trajectory.
However, what you can also do is to give us your valuable insight into the difficult and delicate financial judgments that need to be made.
Join in again, even though I think you're going to struggle with that right now.
This is superb... I'm feeling empowered now that I know "It might go either way."
