Hi Strudel, we are still waiting on Rios drilling from this year, but I think they are concentrating up north in the Paterson, at the Winu discovery and also just East if that on the Antipa JV (Calibre/Magnum).
If anything is spotted north of Scallywag, I’d hazard a guess at it being the Antipa/Newcrest JV (Wilki). A lot of ground all around Telfer in that JV.
@J813
The biggest Step outs are, I believe, all still in the labs if you are looking at new locations beyond the northern dune line, in the area South East of the explosive store.
There have of course been lots of drills scattered even further north in recent weeks, and if you look on radar images from Nov 2018 onwards you will see isolated single drill locations in similar far flung distant locations to the west and north but seemingly none to the east or south of HAV. This may be due to where potential targets are distributed across our tenement; the shape of our tenement - why prove up mineralisation for your neighbours early on in our exploration activities? Or because with radar images once every 12 days they may have set up, drilled and gone between images.
The latest Scallywag drill circa 2,500m south west of the decline is very intriguing as it is very close to our boundary with Rio, but was always the southern tip of a huge trend line of strong gravity / magnetic signal, the bulk of which is not in our tenement.
Are any Rio watchers aware if they have reported any results from their Patterson 2021 drilling campaign - they had a flurry of activity a few kilometres north of Scallywag but unless they move fast or were drilling very shallow I was never convinced they had done anything other than ground preparation works back in April.
One Q for the better researched on here, and it is in the context of the “ Open at depth and directions “ which happily is always the last words on the NC updates for as long as I can remember.
In particular to open in directions, do we know if in-between each of the quarterly reports they step out in said directions or when they last reported an actual step out and still did not find potential edge.
Having spent a fair while re-reading the the PFS report/Stage 1 Study of the 12th October RNS the thing that strikes me most is the amount of potential positives from every aspect of the Havieron potential development. There is not one word of waffle in the report/forecasts and all the forward looking information is based on factual grounds/calculations mainly or wholly carried out by the experienced miner -Newcrest to their customary tried and tested level. We are fortunate to have such a JV partner.
I cannot go into great detail as my brain/knowlege does not extend that far and I leave that to the likes of the Geo experts, Paddy, Bamps and several others who know what they are talking about.
But what I do know is that the end result for Havieron is going to be finacially phenomenal in the long term.
Only fools try to dispute the future.
Do not listen to the modern 'Luddites'. They will not be with you in the future if they got their way now.
GLA on the long fruitful journey.
@ Paddy "I still expect to hear the words open at depth and in multiple directions..."
I'm pretty sure that we'll also find that, yet again, "...with this Havieron discovery, every drill hole we put in there finds more gold."!
GLA!
Oh no. Walts back.... Lol
Agreed Poni, I'm looking forward to it immensely myself (although I always look forward to them in fairness). Not sure on the amount of holes we will receive assays for but there were 21 sets outstanding in the table at the bottom of the last report and they would have been completed weeks before. We've have the time since they were completed until the date of the last report and the 7 weeks in the interim.
Depending on the capacity at the labs I would hope for somewhere between 15 & 20 sets of assays.
I'm hoping for some more results at depth under the SE Crescent - HAD090AW1 looks to be in that area and goes lower than the HAD133W1 & W2 that were reported in September.
At the very minimum we should get HAD141W1 & HAD081W3 which both extend into the Eastern breccia. Hopefully they will give us some idea of why Shaun gets animated every time he discusses the Eastern breccia.
We should also see other results from the Northern Breccia and the NW Pod which will be trying to establish that the high grade continues along that NW trend and both those targets are linked.
I still expect to hear the words open at depth and in multiple directions and it would be good to get a progress report on how Byrnecut are progressing with the decline.
I don't think we will hear anything about the 3 holes that we know they have done in Havieron North & Zippa but something from there would "blow the bloody doors off" - we may have to wait until December for that though.
GLA - even the traders - but especially to the LTH's - Paddy
I am particularly looking forward to this weeks report. We should get to know a lot more about awaited drilling results - It will be amazing if higher grade results under the original inferred material resource estimates are further confirmed and expanded- potentially how big could we be from this alone.
Then there is new information on drilling other areas within Havieron and even more news due on areas around the Havieron JV and Juri Juri JV.
WE will also get to know hopefully how the depth of the incline is going and how long till we hit the ore base - An essential on the path to early production/utilisation of Telfer and subsequent income generation.
In many ways I see this report as one of the most defining reports this year.
Whats not to like about GGP.
GLA and keep focused.
