Franky no he wouldn't. If the FCA suspect any wrongdoing, it does not matter of you buy £10, £100, £10k, or £100k worth. How does the amount make a different if a crime has been commited, use your brain ffs. It's a bit like saying you could rob a bank but don't take more than £500 as the police won't bother looking for you, whereas if you take £500k they will come looking for you. It is the act itself that matters.
DB has taken part in the placing, he just knows it's not worth throwing £100k in this scam
TBF DB can't very well buy 100,000 off the bat. He'd look like a mad crook doing that and be subject to FCA investigation for manipulating the SP. Which he should be anyway.
Davemac
Agree with you there ans obviously db agrees ,hence only a 20k investment, and that would have been a token gesture
Starrenstoff - My thought is that a titchy UK business is unlikely to create a global monopoly for the AIHL test. There will be overseas competitors driving out other solutions to the same problem I would imagine? If there aren't then its because the segment is too small and other players see it as too niche and unprofitable to focus on. Indeed, this is the Genedrive problem. They have to find a lot of niches and small overlooked markets to prosper as the bigger boys are focused on larger markets, so its tough to play in this space for sure. Of course it can be done but you have to have a very well defined strategy and be ruthlessly focused that the investments made, yield a decent return. This hasn't happened with the existing products and the definition of madness is to do the same things and expect a different outcome. I do think the MCAP can double up over the next 12 months as there will be progress, but I'll be bailing waaaaaay before 2023. at 78p I will probably write of 20K in 12 months rather than the 40K now. Budd will have to generate interest at some point so expect billy Bulls7T to come good in the spring.
Starres, Franky is correct AIHL is not tge golden goose it was portrayed to be. DB at the time said is was £45m per annum, but failed to mention the UK market is just £5m. That is very small and they've not even managed to sell thisthe UK, apart from 3 sites that took part in the trial. The demand for such a product is clearly not there, otherwise a big diagnostics firm would have developed one years ago, and nothing stopping them from doing so now if the demand was there. Govts worldwide don't just buy any diagbostic kits that come to the market, and the demand clearly has to be high for them to do. With a market size of just £5m, it clearly isn't a big problem. It is however a great product from a ethical point of view, but govts worldwide are not in the business of ethics, clearly demonstrated furing this pandemic. They will be raising again in 12-18 months.
I do think Budd has questions to answer. Critically money is needed for new product development and yet the revenue generated from previous products is clearly woeful. So whats the strategy. One can even argue ADHL is not a great investment. 5m domestic market is small and overseas is much tougher as govts all look after thrir own. I can see this money get burned up fast and the same all over. No way will genedrive be self sustaining in 2 yrs. Therefore the level of progress needs to be impressive enough for a buy-out which is what ll happen in time. There needs to be genuine progress and honest clear comms not smoke and mirrors to fudge it.
Agree Yozzer, more chance of me getting hit by lightning lol
Frankly, do you think therefore that Budd has to go… his shelf life has expired now that the company is supposedly in a commercial phase? He just can’t make that transition. There’s a world of difference between marketing and selling IMO.
Hiring in a sales director, plus his team of 7 people is not going to be cheap or happen quickly, and not guaranteed to work either.
Presumably the chairman needs to step up to the plate and find a replacement CEO before it gets to a shareholder vote to remove him from office?
I agree with other posters that the amount Budd is being paid is astonishing.
More chance of June having 31 days in it, than GDR having sales. Wouldn’t you agree Dave?! :) lmao
Franky the data reported is up until June 31st, so yes there is a small chance there have been sales from then onwards that have not been reported. However note the trading the update reports the current cash position, so any current sales wpuld have been reported as you suggest. Furthermore the cash balance is consistent with the cash balance as at March minus the burn rate, again suggesting no sales. No mentiins of any recievables either
DaveMC if you read the words i chose carefully i have suggested that there may be some level of sales to offer some hope. Thats not too much of a quantum leap to beleive that scraps of good news have been suppressed for obvious reasons.
As a recruiter of 25 years i can tell you off the bat what the problem is. DB s background is that of a molecular scientist. He is not a salesman and has risen to his level of incompetence. The problem is that you have to have a technical person leading the sales and so finding that hybrid skillset is incredibly difficult which is why you have someone being paid over the odds.
Because how much of a smugnorant ***** you was to anyone who didn’t agree with you , with your smarmy responses saying we are actively selling to 300k labs in America and any question you’d always just say BC have a Mcap of $6 billion totally avoiding any legit response
You was the classic if I said I went to Tenerife you’d been to elevenerife
You may have coded Preefty, but you were talking out your ass about any refinements to the webpages, suggesting the products is selling.
Who are you longtermholder14?
Alan Sugar?
Not saying who is right or wrong though everyone is entitled to have an opinion!…it is a share chat platform after all.
If it wasn’t for DB’s ‘focus and drive’ or complete lack of it , we’d be a lot higher
You are incredibly deluded if you think DB has done a good job
Hendi2- if it wasn't for DB's focus and drive GDR wouldn't be in even a half decent position....you're uneducated in business management I think. Why is it always who think they know who make comments...
Filtered.
Hendi it’s like I said before , BC selling/stocking our products is like a large supermarket selling your goods , whilst it makes sales more likely unfortunately it’s not a guarantee
Still find it weird after I used that analogy that preefty told everyone he was one of the Main people in charge of how supermarkets get stocked to buy more when you shop
What makes it even weirder is when you challenged his f5 bashing on the BC website and seeing we appeared on a couple more searches and he claimed it was because of the large sales we were doing , he claimed to of known this because he coded/created big websites for multiple large companies
Don’t get me started when he claimed to be a psychologist to ffs haha
Also Finncap are now promoting the wonderful GDR products and such an exciting company
Ive just tweeted my response and tagged the FCA as did someone else as i tagged it @sackbudd - the tweet has already gone, forgot to copy it, (will remember in future) If your on Twitter - tweet your disgust and questions, tag FCA and add @sackbudd, they cant take the lot down
I spoke to my mate a few days ago and said i wonder if there will be a TR1 from the placing from Beckman?
Their Covid test is on many of the global webpages for Beckman inc Russia, China, Japan, Canada, USA. They are already marketing the "Forthcoming POC " test on Mountain Solutions. I honestly wonder if someone wants a slice of the cake to ensure they too benefit by helping a co the size of GDR move into the US market (and globally)
This is only my take on it.
Whats sales ££ have they had since the reporting date contained in that rns? Why didnt they say "sales have started to increase by XX% since the last trading update"
Ive run a number of businesses and as ive said before, Beckman would not market the products of a small co like GDR if they had not already assessed that they could buy the product. Something doesnt add up.
Franky why do you still have tgis fantasy of the lack of sales is "DB downplaying things" The rampers have been saying this for months, which i've called out consistently. If there were any significant sales in the pipeline he would have known, and wouldn't have raised £10.50 and not at this pricepoint. Announcing significant sales straight after a placing, would straight away put him on the radar and prove him a fraud outright. He's not that stupid.
Franky - he’s got to have a fair idea on AIHL considering he’s expecting first sales in the Autumn.
joke company. Db thinks he is running a cash printing machine in Novacyt so thinks he can pay himslef silly numbers and claim silly expenses
I swear by the Lord almighty this is not a RAMP but the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me Budd. Could it be rather than there being No Sales, that the numbers are being surpressed until this is all out of the way. If I was an II and putting yet more wedge down I'd be asking that question. Clearly the numbers won't be vast but Divoc and whoever else are probably sat on some successes and given we know Budd is a devious C7unt there may be a semblance of some promise just around the corner IMO.
A good indication will be if there is an initial order in the CE marking of AIHL otherwise it will be another flop RNS
