@mcmanus,
Make your mind up chap, there's a good lad !!
If it helps for YOU to hide behind Sarcasm, as an excuse for posting ridiculous conflicting Posts, then I am pleased for you !!! LOL.
I'd also add that the open offer doesn't offer us any advantage over that of non shareholders. As a share holder I can buy for 25p, a new comer can currently buy for 26p, hardly a bargain price is it.
Bigal you need to stick to fishing as you have the IQ level of an ant lol. My comment was being sarcastic since you suggested it took 4 hours to close. Any one with common sense this has been happening behind the scenes for months, which is why Budd has been so quiet and put the brakes on the SP after the India RNS. I hate to break it to you the phone did not jusr start ringing of the hook, 4 hours after the placing was announced. The iis are in it for a quick flip and evdn they needed a 40% discount from an alrrasy deprrssed price. Not sure how who you can put a spin on that. How is it a barrgain for current holder whonare in from £1, £2 levels you dipstick. Oh btw what happened to the £75m sales lol... you can pump all the crap you want mate, i'm sure your agenda will serve it's purpose you muppet
BigAl, you were saying there were great times ahead when this was in the 60', 70's etc, do you still believe that and stand by your sales figures that you posted numerous times.
Can you not appreciate that some here are frustrated at being well down.
@mcmanus,
You have lost it chap !!
We are being offered the Open Offer at the same 40% discount as the Placing was offered, and you are saying ' of course it look (I assume took) less than 4hours because Budd gave them a 40% discount. In other words you are saying they snapped it up in <4 hours because it is such a 'BARGAIN PRICE' !!! Which also means that our Open Offer at 40% discount MUST BE a BARGAIN TOO !!! LOL.
You come over so Built up in Hate for GDR, you do not think about what you are posting as long as it comes over as Negative - Oh Dear, You really do need some CBT chap !!!
LTH, they developed a best in class covid test and have failed to sell any during a pandemic. If they can't grow the business when the opportunity smacks them in the face, how will they ever do it.
In 18 months when they need more cash, you will still be saying what a great job they're doing.
Bigal of course it look less than 4 hours to close the placing you clown, but you don't mentikn ecause Budd had to give them a 40% discount otherwise they weren't givig him a penny you tool. Abyway everyone knows your agenda here, sonit's not surprising you're pushing the placing. After all you're tge same one that reassured everyone GDR were making £75m a year :) stop working your imagination overtime.
This will play around here for time being ... once we start getting NEWS.. this will be back above 50 easy...
Ofcourse he'll have managed to convince them. It's simple, they need the cash to grow and develop the business. It won't grow if they don't have the cash.... simple. Then none if us will have anything. Cash is king..shareholders must stump up the cash to protect their shareholding. The option is have it watered down more...
I for one whole heartedly back this and have already bought more.

Where’s grimydumbdumbo is his work done here?….
It would also be interesting to find out how the conversation went with DB and the II s from the 80p placing and if he has managed to convince them to participate in this recent placing ???
Surprised this deluded ****e for brains has front to talk about anything aside from fishing

Both Jaceorge and Guy_Incognito are 'Clueless Idiots' and 'Proven Liars'. Why would someone have a Posting name like 'Incognito', other than the he/she is (''Incognito'' )?
Every post they write has a negative tone. If I believed the 'same' old rubbish they publish, I would have sold out of GDR ages ago. Unless of course they do not own GDR Shares, and are paid Trolls - this does seem to fit with the tone of their Tandem Posts ?
True believers in GDR stay because we believe Great News can drop anytime, and as dis-appointing as it is that this News has not dropped yet, we believe Great News will come:- Some of the reasons why I have invested in GDR :-
So much Great News coming Our way over the coming Days/Weeks, and Months, that I really do not know what to expect First or Second or Third or Fourth or Fifth etc, etc ? !
Will it be Sales in South Africa ?, or will it be other Africa Approvals/Sales ?, or will it be WHO Approval ?, or will it be ICMR Approval?, or will it be FDA/EUA Full Approval ?, or will it be BC Hyper News ?, or will it be DOD ?, or will it be HCV ?, or will it be POC ?, or will it be AIHL ?, or will it be any of the expected Approvals, followed by Sales in Quick Succession ?, or will it be UK Sales ?, or will it be European Sales ?, or will it be News of a Takeover ?, or Approvals/Sales in any combination of the 11 Countries we sent test Kits too ? !!!
Just So Much, So Much, to come !
Keep the Faith Guys.
Great Times Ahead For All !!!
Yes, this is the elephant in the room, how or why the investors were convinced and what they were told and promised ? At the end of the day, it looks as a bargain that you can purchase share at 25-26p on the market, when the investors could buy only at 25p, 2 for 7 shares that they are holding. So if you were not a holder before, now buying directly at this price should be a good deal. Of course I could be wrong.
@mcmanus,
It took <4hrs to complete the 24,000,000 share placing, last Friday. I take it they are All Blind in your mind too ?
You must be very dis-appointed that went so well ??
Mr Bruno, many longterm investors would've love an average of 26p. Will Mr Budd announce a big enough contract before the year end? I think he's crossing his fingers (but that's about all he is doing).
Starres you ate blinded by optimism pal. The AIHL is worth a maximum of £5m a year in the UK, and even if by some miracle they manage to roll it out to every site in the UK, at 50% margin it doesn't even cover the £5m a year in expenses Genedrive need to keep the lights on!!! The cashburn is far too high for a little research and development outfit
Mr Budds overpromising and under-delivering remakrs remind me of Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances.
sorry for my remark earlier. Obviously comparing GDR to gypsies is extremely ****** and unfair on the gypsy movement. I apologize.
GDR is the pharmaceutical equivalent of gypsies tarmacking your drive. We have taken GDR far too seriously. Is 25p an attractive price? No.
Interesting (or not) the inclusion of a 29.9% aggregate holding limit in the documentation this time around. Wasn’t the case last year but then again they knew who were taking most of the shares last year.
You can't patent the concept as such. If it were possible every diagnostic firm would be doing so, and you'd only be able to buy certain device from one facturer, yet you can buy same products from the likes of BC, Abbot, Roche etc ... and other technological devices (smart phone for example,yet you can buy smart phone from any manufacturer, laptop concept of a portable computer)
What you can patent is the design, so just means somone can copy your design, they need to develop ig slightly different and achieve the same goal. Just shows the demand is not them and just like a University research lab, Genedrive just are there to prove a cobcept and move on to the next research project for the next 3 years funded by a grant.
Use your brain then before making stupid comments. Your logic is still flawed, so just making things up as you go along.
Wow. You win for patronising arrogant fool of the day then. Mind yourself. FCA have limited resource for investigating approved folk. So will they investigate everyone suspected of poor practice or those who stick their head above the parapet? Sticking 100k down for example on the day you as director you announce a 40% discount on your stock is called asking for trouble. 10k/20k probably not.
I'm not passing on any opinion about the BOD's investment level but it is my understanding from the RNS is that the quoted investment figures for the board members e.g. £20k for DB are based on the Open Offer allotment of 2 for every 7 owned and then rounded up by purchasing through the Excess Entitlement scheme.
I'm probably totally wrong but the figures seem to suit.
However, it would instill a lot more confidence to see greater investment by the BOD from the open market (if they are currently permitted to do so).
