It's as if someone is playing with the share price whilst they wait for news.
I'm hopeful GDR will get the funding sorted and NICE news they require, just seems a long wait.
4.5p tomorrow.. 8-(
Yup - WINS tick down on 50k shares sold 16.18. Hilarious the movement we had today. Got my popcorn out.
Tally (by eye, confirmed with dummy bids/asks):
435k-odd buys 185k-odd sells.
down 4.88%
lol
And anyone looking at LSE would see £26k of sells and just £4k buys telling a very different story.
Thanks for posting folks.
River Fort aren’t selling into any buying to depress it, so if there WERE lots of buying pressure the price would rise.
So my counter to your MM manipulation theory would be to say that there isn’t any buying pressure. The lack of a resolution of financing is weighing on the stock. That’s why it is drifting down.
MM’s just want an orderly market. They don’t have it in for GDR and are therefore manipulating the price down nefariously. If there were serious buying interest the MM’s couldn’t keep it down, nor would they want to. They make their money out of volume and are agnostic about the share’s overall direction.
So, ultimately MyIPA, why do you think this is happening? Are the various mms just starting to buy shares on behalf of a placee now and a deal already done so that on the first bit of decent news any rise would see the forward selling begin? I'm inclined to think so but IKN.
Here's a fanciful scenario: funding deal already done for say 40m shares at a placing price of 8p. (about £2m worth). Hear me out please. Over the next 5 or 6 weeks the mms slowly ramp up the buying of shares all under or at about 5p, holding the share price in a limited range between 4.75 - 5.25p. In the 4 weeks leading up to the news from NICE on July 10th, confirming Full recommendation for CYP2C19, the sp is let go and goes on one of its more sustained rises and actually reaches let's say 14 - 16p. The placee can shift all it's 40m shares easily on strong volume for well over what the mms are currently buying them and handing them over for which is actually approx 5p. The placee goes away happy with as close to 100% profit as possible, GDR happy to have the £2m in the kitty and even share holders happy because we've enjoyed a rise of about 200% up to 15p ish and then the funding is announced at 8p which is still well above the current sp . Job done. Everyone happy. At that point the sp could be left to do its own thing and go where true value sits with GDR generating revenue confirmed from within the NHS and finally gets going with the FDA de Novo application for RNR1.
Told you it was fanciful.
Oh and Stock is right in that RF don't have any shares at the moment as far as we know.
Roger - why do you even post such things? Thst not in any way how raising money in a public company works. It would be illegal. Even the brokers af3 split buy from sell side and mm would have no idea of where a broker was in funding, so either you post false info for no purpose or you don’t know how equity markets work.
It pretty obvious that no genuine II wants to buy into this for real at the moment to me. Otherwise they would have already. It will surely be at risk of going down completely if no RF drawdown announced this week as well. (No one here knows what actually will happen, me included, but you can't assume this is golden silence, and there's not much money (time) left.
T Kevin - strictly speaking yes, it would be illegal. Do I put it past mms and iis to find a way round it? You bet. Far fetched I know but I’m getting increasingly uncomfortable - aka squeaky bum - the closer we get to some potentially excellent news with still the finding issue , or as far as we know!
Funding issue * unresolved
Roger, TLDR: rocket emoji's????
All being manipulated by GDR gravy train management at the total expense of expendable private investors!!!
Just wait and see👀
Another day closer to brinkmanship!
Don’t worry though - cheek will just say, “I’m sorry shareholders feel that I have misled them, it wasn’t my intention “
Your a few steps too far, Roger. If funding was done the company would have to announce it and the company would know the funding was done because they would’ve had to have led that process and accept the offers so basically you’re accusing the company and the board of doing something illegal which is stretch and we have to wonder why you invest your money in a company that you think does things that are illegal? The answers if you don’t know what you’re talking about fancifull indeed.
It's a tricky situation GDR find themselves in and they are not alone. From where I'm standing progress is without doubt being seen now but the sort of cash GDR were previously raising isn't feasible now with where the share price is without dilution to oblivion (£8m raised 2020, £7.1m raised in 2021 etc).
I notice the going concern statement proposes debt as an option but are GDR in anyway close to reaching cash generation, as if not it'll be hard to find willing debtors?
Sorry tkevin but I’ve seen far too many situations develop in AIM companies where, with the advantage of hindsight you just know things were lined up well before ordinary share holders hear about what’s going on. I don’t doubt I’m a little way off the mark but what you suggest is that every single company on AIM acts totally according to the rule book and never finds ways around certain problems that are, let’s say at best ‘shady’. If you don’t believe anything ever untoward goes on between mms, iis and company CEOs then that’s a lovely little world you inhabit. ATB
With every day that passes with no news and the sp below 5p the closer we get to a binary outcome with regard to funding: another RF drawdown or it’s taken private.
It was reassuring (kind of) to realise that there were more buys than sells yesterday - pretty much the exact reverse of what LSE reported trades stated- but the volume is still well below what GDR needs to attract a potential funding organisation.
As for debt, how much would GDR need to see it through to the point where it can generate enough income to attract alternative funding and pay said debt off comfortably?
Roger65 Do you still hold any GDR shares?
Yep £22k worth with an average of 5.75p
That however is having sold out earlier this year at a loss of about £90k after 4 or 5 yrs. I’ve long been impressed by the technology being developed in the field of pharmacy genomics and every time I think of how life might look in hospitals in 50yrs time I find it impossible not to imagine genomic data ID for every civilian not being at the centre of providing targeted medical treatment suited to each individual. We’re at the start of it all. I just hope and pray GDR can survive these next few months. Lths who have supported this company for years deserve to share in the potential rewards and not be shafted but…this is AIM and I don’t really trust any CEO or Director to always be telling the truth, or rather that any given situation is presented with a particular slant according to how the CEOs want the market to react. Big risk is inherent on AIM but with that come big rewards - and big losses.
I believe GDR’s tests will make it to market and eventually generate plenty of income. For whom that income is generated remains to be seen. Hopefully us.

I actually sold completely out
You don't even have shares yourself Nissan
4.5p incoming , as I called it yesterday..expecting draw down today or Tomoz...hope not on both counts but that's tbe way i see it at the mo..
Noone cares how you, a totally uneducated irrelevant nobody, see anything. sorry
Jamey....big losses aye. ?..must be your bit tetchy this morning fella ..!!
Agreed.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times. Why take the risk of holding the share now?
As far as I can see, they have three options. A share placing, further drawdowns, or taking it private.
In all three scenarios the share tanks from here! Just because it is low, doesn’t mean it can’t go lower.
If you believe in the company long term you can always buy back in. You might miss a spike, but there is a long way up from such a low base and plenty of money to be made long term.
Every day the clock is remorselessly ticking, and they burn more cash with nothing in the bank but dreams and hopes…
