I am late to this gathering. Read RNS, was surprised to learn no OTC Viagra in the US. FUM need to play well their cards, get approval, preferrably for an OTC because there is a huge opportinity in that.
And lockdowns and crises certainly don't help with ED, they aggravate the problem.
surfi1961 you dont have faith I have
thank you bald eagle.that sums my position up admirably.
surfie genuine question.what were you actually expecting? todays RNS seems simply to confirm that thing are on track.if one ignores the overly atomistic claims of some posters nothing seems to have changed.sure if you bought in expecting more positive news this month you might be disappointed but really there was nothing more to be expected at this stage.
Bucolic, to be fair to theItalian he (or she) is fairly balanced about the risks & opportunities offered by FUM...certainly far more 'balanced' than some posters on here. It doesn't mean that he/she doesn't want to talk up the positive news and slightly downplay the negative stuff....but nothing that most investors (including myself) do. It's hard to be negative about a share you are invested in - in fact it is 'probably' a bad investment approach - because you would 'obviously' divest but could also miss a good investment opportunity. The trick is to find the right balance...to be aware of the risks and to hopefully take action to mitigate those risks. TheItalian was aware the FDA meeting was imminent and the risk that further tests would be required...and 'presumably' that fundraising would may be required to pay for it. Seems to be happy with the risk/reward balance. Others on here just want to listen to fantasy stories.
sb88... is this really the "good news" you mentioned was coming yesterday? If so I really wouldn't want to hear about any bad news coming?
Bucolic, it's hard to iamgine that FUM would make up the OTC claim but it's really a promise of green pastures once we have climbed the mountain of regulatory approval to get there. A carrot dangled in front of the donkey to keep us trudging forwards.
The meeting minutes presumably should just confirm FUM's understanding of how the meeting went...unless FUM misunderstood - by mistake or on purpose - how things went. The FDA process seems an 'unusualy' process....almost like the FDA is collaborating with FUM to get the product to market. The Americans do things differently!
I imagine the FDA wanted some proof that MED3000 displays the claimed efficay against a 'real' placebo....Ken James desktop study of acedemic studies obviously didn't cut the mustard. I could 'probably' have told him so....but it was worth trying to blag them I suppose.
not sure I've really been spinning it.yes i take a generally optimistic and positive line as an investor ,but you will not,i think,find any posts from me endorsing the claims of some about market size etc.on the contrary you will find comments from to the effect that the scale of the marker is almost always exaggerated due to embarrassment factor etc .which is why OTC is so important.i have also expressed caution about the more optimistic time scales put forward by some. the possibility of a fund raise,which seems to be causing most concern today,has always been accepted by me as very real.i do not recall any posts today saying fda will definitely award OTC status. the res does not make that claim and of course it my not get approval at all.these are just risks you either decide to accept here or not.
Wow! Look at it tanking. Easy money from shorting a dog of a stock where the management try to spin every bit of news as being positive. The market sees through it and the Sp drifts in line.
I couldn't see anything in the rns that the FDA are definitively going to allow MED3000 to be sold OTC. It's mainly smoke and mirrors by the board as usual to persuade the readers that that is what the FDA were saying. It's just like the gloss they put on MED3000 having passed P3 when in fact MED3000 wasn't even a product at the time of FM57 trials. Is there anywhere we can actually read what the FDA said or do we have to wait until September to see the actual minutes? I'm not at all surprised the SP dived after that rns, however much Amanda, and to a lesser extent, the-Italian, have spun it. So I'm gloomily still holding.
" I'm very curious as to why someone would waste their time here if not trading or investing."
=====================================
Frank, why would serious day traders & investors waste their time here??!!...it's an echo chamber. Whenever anyone puts forward an alternative view - in an attempt to uncover the truth - they are shouted down...accused of ulterior motives or being someone else. You - and the other day traders - need to look at yourselves as much as I do.
Is it really a problem that I write fairly often & in-depth? SHould that really upset serious investors?..or do the people here just want to listen to the echo chamber and fantasy talk of £10 per share. Good luck to them if they do.
It hasn't upset me, I'm very curious as to why someone would waste their time here if not trading or investing. Personal reasons are valid too!, To each their own, take care baldie
A empty kettle bangs his own drum.
I expect the management are in talks with insitutiuonal investors as we 'speak'....I can hear the conversation...."NOT AGAIN!!???!!"
Next question...when will we get the rights issue?
Having the prospect of a large rights issue (or alternative form of fundraising) is likely to hand heavy on the SP. So do FUM's management bite the bullet and raise the money sooner rather than later?
Perhaps Mr Barder will pull a rabbit out of his hat and annouce an amazing deal with a large upfront payment (enough to fund further trials)...but don't hold your breath.
Frank, that was a missed opportunity...to see me gone. I don't like to be called a liar. When I got no apology they were entitled to the full on Bald_Eagle experiential treatment...I have endeavoured to keep up my end of the bargain. Sorry if that has upset you. Sometimes the truth hurts!!!
"Think fund raise will be at circa 10p."
==========================================
Gheko, I suspect you are close to the mark. The actual figure will depend upon the amount (in £) and insitutional support. Wasn't the last rights issue set at 8p per share? (I may be wrong here).
Baldie, you wrote the following a few days ago:
"""
I volunteered to self-exclude myself from this echo chamber. I did briefly return but was grievously insulted...I asked for an apology..when none was given ( a missed opportunity by my detractors) it was tacitly agreed by all concerned that you would be entitled to the full on 100% bald_Eagle no holds barred experiential treatment...I have endeavoured to keep my end of the agreement. So help me god.
"""
That's why you keep wasting your time here
Think fund raise will be at circa 10p. Sold out when started to drift from 19p as clue was there that not straightforward.
Will wait for the drift back down to about 8-10p then start buying again. Long term a good prospect but they will need funds first for extra trial etc. One day good but other short/ medium term opportunities elsewhere. Good luck with your decisions. See you back here in a few months
" I remember reading you are here because you have a personal enmity to some of the users who are invested?. Are you shorting the share at least?"
================================================
Wrong again Frank. I have no animosity to any 'users' who are invested. I only ask that people search for the truth and stop spreading fantasy valuations and incorrect & misleading information. Even Amanda doesn't bother me...I know she is a day trader & has a agenda...if she was honest about that agenda then that would be OK (but she ain't). We are all here to make a profit after all.
Third time lucky & you failed again. I have never shorted any stock.
"You are not invested in this company...."
=======================================
Frank, you are wrong. As stated before I kept a residual holding...for 'laughs & giggles'. Although admittedly downsized even further today....I am probably down to just 'giggles' now.
Good luck with your FUM investment btw...I expect you are going to need it!!
Confirmatory studies are much smaller than Phase III, their name is just a clue. Safety has been stablished in PIII, FDA will probably want to "confirm" one or two variables, I'm guessing that it actually helps ED patients. Smaller cohort of users, simpler study, smaller costs
You are not invested in this company, only employ your time to talk it down for personal reasons, I remember reading you are here because you have a personal enmity to some of the users who are invested?. Are you shorting the share at least?
So the next big questions is...How much money will FUM have to raise?
I'm guessing £2-3 million. A pure guess but we have to start somewhere.
That's £1-2 million for the MED3000 trial and an additional £1 million to top up FUM's dwindling cash reserves (management pay & pension, plus office expenses).
A rights issue seemed likely in h1 2021 anyway...so the current RNS just makes it more urgent (& makes it bigger in cash terms).
Thoughts welcomed. I am open to counter 'offers'.
