Looed - I tried searching for words like rally, protest and US Embassy. The latter came up with other articles, but not this one.
LordLash - All the men look like pensioners.
The only positive I can clutch at is there aren't many of them and they do look older. Could they be caught in the cross fire of the liquidation process. Office staff or non production roles that aren't needed.
As Frontera isn't mentioned anywhere in the article - not in English anyway - I assume English search engines won't pick it up. The articles I have seen / posted in the past always had Frontera mentioned at least once even though the rest was in Georgian.
Thanks for posting bugsy, much appreciated!
This one story does soemthing really interesting - it makes a very clear / critical connection between the two Governments. At one end, GG arbitration meaning GG have the power to improve the situation for GG workers; and at the other, US Government since FRR is a US Company --- perhaps with the idea that protests may expedite Government-to-Government discussions leading to resolution ASAP. Otherwise, on the surface, to ordinary Georgians, it would appear that the involvement of US companies in Georgia is not working for ordinary Georgians...
bugsy - Strange that the article doesn't show up in any searches using the website.
Fake !!
Thats just some randoms the Russians have rustled up
Well to me, the men seem to look happy enough!! the women on the other hand don't!!
It's a good job that the one placard spells out Frontera 'en englais'
They all look a bit old to be on the oil field I suppose not getting paid for 10 months would take its toll on you
yes perfect that is the lnk
Employees at the Frontline Western Georgia company are holding a rally outside the US embassy , demanding a 10-month debt from the US-Georgian oil company.
According to them, the company carries out oil production, drilling, loading and sale as usual and those working in heavy industries have to work in extreme conditions without a health policy.
“We are protesting that we have accumulated 10 months of debt for 4 years, which we have not received. We are demanding the remuneration of our salaries for which we have worked, worked and have not received to date. Everybody standing here is an employee of this company and they all have the same problem, ”rally participant Iveri Tsiklauri said.
Protesters will move from the nearby embassy to the government administration.
