There are anti gay demonstrations in Georgia clashes with police. No mention in the world media of this stuff. Fake news.
CF73 - yes absolutely agree. We are all very much in the dark and It all could be part of re organising a new venture. On the other hand we all could be screwed
FRR still in there fighting and inching towards some kind of resolution. Given what was attempted by external forces (Hope, YA and Shorting Scrotii, GG), Is remarkable we still visibly fighting and have a possible near term horizon for some kind of eventual conclusion (thinking again about ZMs comments about Jan 2020).
Think folks have got to come terms with the fact that most news right now will show a messy situation and will continue to do so until this has been sorted one way or other.
LTH have been brainwashed like the workforce believing this will come good, it's all over folks don't delude yourselves thinking otherwise!
ian12, what do you have a Crystal Ball ?
Continued drilling (BH still on the scene?) and production? Question is where is all the extra money going? Must be pretty soul destroying watching the oil go down the road for sale and being told there is no money for wages
Ludicrous post ftom Ian12.
. go on interpress and search Frontera... that story is nowhere to be seen
GOIT, that's an interesting that,
We still drilling and producing but people not being paid.
There's a question of which entity is drilling and producing and which is not paying the workers/ hasn't been paying the workers.
No long termers here deluded, share price here is same as it was yesterday.....value to me unchanged. Measuring confidence though, well that's for individuals to decide. Very much looking forward to coming announcements from Zaza, but each to their own. Weasels trying to influence my optimism better find something else to do with their lives in the meantime
Correct Tsbs, I have no need to post again, I know when to give up, best of luck all wish you a Merry Christmas.
Like the Forbes1 negative news assessor LMFAO. Just arrived on the scene and so exasperated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a certain lack of exasperation here where I'm sitting.......then again it helps when one is baking in 30 degree heat by an ice-blue Carribean pool?
Ha ha Tsbs.
You would be waiting a long time for a drink if those pumps were delayed like at UD2 lol.
Mole would have a hell of a whisky tasting session with 18 b barrels to work through.
Whisky galore indeed?
Zaza made it quite clear in the shareholder presentation late last year that if a SM is undertaking work and stress testing the field they will get paid from what they produce. The frr employees are probably redundant at present not much to do, until the deal is signed, sealed and delivered, they watch and wait.
Wont be long imho for news probably Nov.
Best confirmation we could hope for from an employee is that there is/was Baker Hughes and BP personnel pottering around on site still in fairly recent times. People should take some comfort that we are still producing and still supposedly drilling and therefore still functioning as a company, no matter how tenuously. Hopefully this employee payment issue can be resolved soon.
Everyone posting that you can't find the Interpreted story when you search for "Frontera", you need to consider that the original text is in Cyrillic, and F is a letter that can be transliterated quite differently between Latin and Cyrillic alphabets. Hence the page URL spelling "prontera". Search engines don't cope with this well, either from Google or the site's own search.
As for those who say it's very suspicious that the banner spells only "Frontera" in the Latin alphabet; it's precisely because of the transliteration problem that Western names are often written in Latin characters by people writing in other alphabets - very common in Arabic as well. Words like oil, strike, miners etc. can just be translated directly into their corresponding Georgian words and written in Cyrillic. But how would you 'translate' Frontera? You can't, you either have to transliterate each character individually to its phonetic equivalent, which causes problems if the Georgian sound for 'F' is different from English, or keep it in the Latin alphabet, as they have here. And Google Translate has no idea that the name 'Frontera' exists, and the nearest word of can find is 'Frontline'.
In short, while I can't confirm the truth of the story itself, there's nothing suspect in the way it's written or the fact that so,eone couldn't find it by searching. And it's scarcely a sufficiently prominent site for it to appear anywhere near the top of the results in Google.
Autocorrect error: 'interpreted story' > 'Interpress story'.
Which, ironically is a perfect demonstration of how badly computers handle unfamiliar words.
It’s pretty damned obvious why it say Frontera on the banner and not a Georgian scrip for the very same reason it would say NIKE or HEINZ or any other trade name. Polly it’s that simple. BOEING etc etc etc.
Don't see any advantage in a story like this being made up. There is no share price to affect, the tendering process in Ukraine is on hold and it wouldn't affect the company at all.
I was coming to think 10 months unpaid a bit far fetched but who knows and in what way. So maybe a full 20 months without pay is possible. I know back in the nineties a lot of workers in Russia, Ukraine, etc went without pay for maybe up to six months or more as the country was in such a financial state. No doubt some salary delay might still go on out there. I'm also aware that a lot of the old Soviet style accommodation had minimal to no cost for their residents. Maybe it's a case of the workers just withholding payment for rent etc and just paying for food. I myself couldn't really imagine how I would live that long without pay or what support if any may exist, something I guess is keeping them alive.
I'm guessing like said before FRR put paying off YA as top priority. Well at least we hope they are paid off as we know of no court case. I'm guessing FRR sees not paying the workers as less of a threat as it would take time for them to pursue the salary debt and money which they apparently don't have.
My guess is that it is taking time to build up some money from paying YA off. The court case costs would be cutting into this, at least whatever they have paid the lawyers. I'm guessing they gave only paid the lawyers what they have to keep things going and stopped doing so when any objectives were achieved.
For me this tells me that Zaza & co feel that they have no other option than stick with the legal proceedings to date. The arbitration is self evident while the Hope case was a situation of staving him off from taking control of the company. The arbitration sounds like it is either done or nearly done now. The Hope case may have a little longer left to roll but it sounds like that may soon be coming to an end as well, maybe one, two or three months.
Like thought though it's sounding like November is a precarious month for FRR, that it just needs to make it past this month and things could start coming good, money coming in to finally pay people off, court cases finally being resolved or getting towards that, etc. If money is still coming in from oil and lawyers are not being paid my thoughts are that most of the money has gone to paying of YA and money will soon start flowing in to resolve all their problems.
I doubt the company will file for insolvency since they know it's workers have little option other than to wait. While the workers know if they took legal measures that ended in FRR being declared insolvent then that might mean them not getting their pat at all. It must be terrible being in the workers situation but financially they are the least dangerous option unfortunately for them.

Re your second para. Whilst things have moved on quite a lot ( re pay etc) I do think it is important to remember that the people of the eastern block (as was) have a different attitude to us soft westerners! I remember when I was last out in that area the train drivers had not been paid for months and whilst they still grumbled (quite a lot in fact they were stealing diesel from the loco's to a point of them being empty so even when matters were resolved they could not move due to lack of fuel) They are really made of sterner stuff, Of course the western influence will have had an effect on attitudes but they are still in catch up.
True, I've also heard they steal stuff probably more so if not paid. Perhaps some oil is going astray though it needs refinement they might still be operating somehow like this. Oil etc out there can probably be exchanged for a fair bit.
Stealing oil to survive because there is no money to pay workers?
Unbelievable story and I hope not true. Stealing has become fashionable
and I wonder when I shall make a start. If caught I'll go to prison and invite the
DAILY MAIL in search of publicity. Fast Track to attract attention. My daughter
would not be surprised and my son would be too late to stop me TELLING the TRUTH.
The TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH about Cesspit AIM where investment
goes down the drain and stealing is the latest trend. I hope FRR has a HAPPY END?
