Some more big buys today and the SP is on a rapid move in the right direction
As a fisherman and investor I just don’t think they provide a good enough online platform or range of products at the moment. Hopefully this cash will go far enough to improve them.
Some big buys today, I’ve got a feeling there is going to be some positive news on its way, SP going up rather unexpectedly today
Yes taste4. Even after today's placing I don;t think the worm has turned on the SP. Looks a reel bad investment so far but now it has dipped under the placing price some bottom feeders might shell out. Anyone who dips a toe in now would still be worried that there is some catch. I think investors looking to put some food on the table might be better off taking their stools and placing them upstream at Angling Direct which seems a bit more fly than this one.
think someone should attach a float to the sp as it has dropped hook, line and sinker.......
well he didn't stick around long did he ?
Another bigger buy delayed showing. Buys becoming more regular now. Soon to pop.
Showing from friday.
Have a look at chris griffins history...very impressive. Could be having a positive effect now after a couple of months in the job.
Angling Direct made some very positive acquisitions during 2017 which puts this company perfectly positioned to dominate this market place through out 2018.
Never been more apt...:)
Thanks for the feedback Bannor
Angling Direct (AD) on-line were a whole different kettle of fish (pun(s) intended) clear indication of what was available & in stock to ship.... did get a subsequent message apologising that a hook disgorger was out of stock when picking but remainder delivered within days, customer service friendly & phone answered promptly. No knowledge of AD on high street though - but I'll be buying from them in the future - that's not intended as a recommendation just my intent - each to their own - not even sure why I'm posting here other than initially to vent my frustration at their performance & customer service - don't hold here & have no intention of doing so but again each to their own. As such this will be my last post .... GL to anyone invested.
Notice there seem to be some fishermen on here (hardly surprising) Just having a look at this as a potential turnaround, any thoughts? Notice their recent (November onward) online reviews are dire, items out of stock, missing orders, poor customer service. Looking at their accounts the fact that the trade payables exceeds their cash position may indicate that these problems are potentially leading to supply problems (one item out of stock and cant re-order so entire order is delayed) - If this is the case then this is not a great position for a retailer to be in, and even worse if they are wanting to grow their online presence. At first glance they look to be trading around the value of their stock held, which isnt bad, but I presume they are running down their inventories as it looked very high to me. Anyone have experience of using the physical shops? They look a little tired to me and obviously if they are short of cash there wont be much scope to freshen them up without a cash call? Also, anyone have any experience of Angling Direct, either online or in store? Thanks in advance.
Sharks!! Little more than fish meal now..
Were those orders the ones that got away? I thought the director buy looked a bit fishy at the time of the last results. He wanted to SHORE up the SP I reckon. What a waste of some thouSANDS. Looking at the current SP I am not sure what will keep this afloat.
