Got to agree with Peaky , I"m in the fishing trade myself and can tell you first hand that trade is down and it's countrywide . I think mid 30's if trade doesn't improve is going to be best case , I think it could be lower and if it goes sub 30 then it's crunch time .
Last time this happened I had shares in Ionica and thought I'd lost the lot because they were hit with a lawsuit which tumbled the shares off the scale . I had about £3000 of shares originally and they offered me around the £3k I had invested but I turned them down thinking there must be something going on and maybe could get more , 12 month past and I thought that I should have took the offer . Anyway a while later I got a letter through the door and contacted the company dealing with Ionica and got over £6k . So you see where my thoughts are !
I've no need to sell so will just sit it out like I have done for the last 30 plus years
Had shares here for over 30 years and yesterday out of the blue a broker phoned my father to try to track me down and wanted to buy my shares ??? anyone else been contacted and why ????
Yes , we will definitely have to agree to disagree. Seen this before many times ,heavy discounting and rapid expansion brought down Fishing republic , Tackle 2 Fish went a couple of years ago , Real deal before them , Don't know exactly what's happened to Erics of Leeds but I'm informed that they've closed . All were heavy discounters and fallen by the wayside .As for your comments of getting ripped off by so called independent shops well I'm sure they would take that very
personally.Seem s to me like we've touched a nerve here and we will see what happens in the not too distant future . Fortunately I do not have anything invested here but good luck with your investment.
Back in October 2018 They raised £20m by issue of shares and have according to their results traded at at a profit and increased turnover etc. but only have £13m left in bank? . share price has dropped from a high of £1.11.5 to 67p ? maybe someone out there can enlighten me of what the real picture is here ?
some pretty big sells going through at the moment ! has some news been leaked or results due ?
Nice RNS on the surface , sales percentage up but no mention of wether there is any profit in the sales ? seen this before with FISH and look where they are now . Can't wait for the actual profit and loss details .
Share price still dropping and hardly a buy in sight , next season won't kick in till April 2019 so grim times ahead for the tackle trade . Who knows how far this could drop ?
Anybody thinking of taking on a failed tackle business wants their head testing , and with the state of the retail sector in general including on line sales taking a hit at this supposably busy time , I personally think they would lose their shirt .
I did try to warn people in my previous posts but got people ramping it up . Stack it high and sell it cheap does not work unless you are a market trader with no overheads . Keep an on ANG . lets see how long £20m lasts when selling practically at cost . Share price pretty static but a lot more selling than buying ??????
Will be interesting to see if the staff get paid this month and what is in the RNS . Loads of rumours flying about at the moment but with the general state of the Fishing retail trade I doubt their future will be bright.
Seems to be a lot of selling at the moment and quite a drop in the share price ? Wonder if results are due ?
Time will tell , but with over 50 years of experience involved directly with the fishing trade i don’t think I’m wrong and certainly under no illusions.
With the fishing season coming to an end and most of the club anglers putting their tackle away I think they will face a drought of customers throughout the winter months, if these are the results in the busy quarter then what will the results be come March ?
Will be very interesting to see the results , the Fishing trade on the whole has had a terrible start to the season and I dont think its entirely due to the weather but it certainly hasnt helped.
well he didn't stick around long did he ?
November through to the end of March are the worst trading months for for Fishing tackle retailers many of which will find it very tough to keep there heads above water . I have to agree with Carp king on this one but do your own research.
All buys ??? what a load of pollocks
how is the share price not dropping when all the trades are sells ???
