Despite the raft of good news recently.....makes me wonder if the market fears that placing is on the cards (5-6p), the company although still has some cash for the next year or so,will need further funds in order to expand the Blackbird venture, and the current income is probably not enough to support it.....IMHO.
Found on another site: https://issuu.com/newbayeurope/docs/tvbe_may_2018/1?ff=true
Wow...the list of partnerships is growing nearly on a daily basis ...the blackbird brand seems like the making of a company changing fortune...onwards and upwards, the future is bright!!!
Agreed sd2 and hopefully the first of many.
Todays RNS Reach confirms that the recent takeover of Field59 has opened the door for FBT into Town News. It's like having the Evening Post taken over by News Corp and getting the latter group's papers and TV interests as a customer!
Interesting clip and as someone commented previously, the CEO is creating very focussed, concise yet informative content to deliver the company message. Impressed
That's great news! I am amazed we are not at 20p yet.
A great piece of news, shame that a number of people sold out yesterday prior and subsequently the share price dropped, guess they are onto their next potential short term multiple bagger
This is just getting better with every bit of news....I said few times before but I am saying again,WELL Done BOD.:-)
Brilliant RNS, bodes well for forbidden as well as the Japanese. Well done Ian McDonagh.
I have worked across the implementation of projects which include remote location ingest and cloud access as well as integration with AWS and Microsoft Azure. I am team lead and project supervisor on MS Azure cloud sports distribution of NFL Game Pass (Blackbird provides editing platform services for up to 16 simultaneous game feeds during the 2017-2019 seasons). More recently I have won new business providing fixed rig location 'live' logging for a BAFTA award winning media production client. I am Blackbird account manager for Deltatre, IMG, Monoto, All3media, Two Four, ITV, BBC, Channel 5, Envy, and Evolutions. https://www.linkedin.com/in/maxmcgonigal/
Ian McDonough CEO at Forbidden Technologies PLC 4h Feeling very excited after we debuted #blackbird and it’s product range #ascent, #forte and #blackbirdedge at #nab in Las Vegas this week. It was my first time at the show too. Normally I’d have been at Mip in Cannes(where it rained all week!)! The US and international buyers at the show were suitably blown away by how incredibly powerful our cloud video platform is and how it provides a highly responsive bespoke workstation experience but from any hardware, any browser, anywhere. The video production market is embracing the cloud and (according to our customers) the blackbird codec is the best in its class. Exciting times ahead!
Glad I stashed these and held now :)
to see this holding the gains from earlier in the week. Long may it continue GLA
Thanks again EbbsandFlows. The website nails one thing down: their turnover was less than 10.2M for 2016. This is because elsewhere they say they have two offices and there are over 50 staff. If their turnover were more the accounts would have to be audited. They say on the link that you provided that they are used by their community "billions of times each and every month". At face value the minimum number of contacts in a year therefore is 2billion x 12 = 24billion. Even if they were making 10.2M in turnover that would equate to 0.000425 per posting and could easily be substantially less. It does appear reasonable to conclude that, unless there has been a major change in the way they trade post the additional capitalisation, FBT have much more profitable contacts on which to concentrate their constrained sales fire power. Perhaps RD was being polite.
does think help? http://www.ladbible.com/about-and-contact
Thanks for the explanation EbbsandFlows. Whilst I can see the benefit of FBTs software to them in handling videos I'm not sure where their income stream is generated but provided they can pay promptly it's not my concern. They may be the biggest but the fact that their accounts are exempt suggests that they are not another Facebook yet. No transactions since 08.30 this morning although all buys previously. Waiting on an update from Las Vegas.
Day 3 at #NAB2018 and the #Forbiddentechnologies booth was packed! So much interest in our Blackbird platform. The team is pumped!! One more day at #NABSHOW #BlackbirdAscent #BlackbirdForte #BlackbirdEdge
I work in this BS so I will explain. The platforms are FB, Twitter, G+. LADbible are classed as a community of people who share a common purpose, in this case have liked the Ladbible page. They then upload a share, normally video to the page to make them viral, this is why they say this "We are the biggest community in the world for a social generation" To explain it another way, think of FB as being WH Smiths, and the LADbible is the most popular youth focused magazine they sell. Hope this helps.
If you search LADbible Group Ltd on Companies House as I have since seeing a reference to this company on another site you will discover that they report the last accounts filed as "09 Oct 2017 Total exemption small company accounts made up to 31 December 2016 ". There has been new capital subscribed but I find it hard to believe that they have become a significant player in the short time since then unless by acquisition and I haven't found any indication of that happening. I have no idea what "We are the biggest community in the world for a social generation" actually means. Are they bigger than Facebook, Instagram or Twitter? It looks like meaningless marketing puff.
Forgot to mention, the conversation is from Rachel Darcys LinkedIn page.
LADbible is the home of entertainment, viral video, trending content and the latest news. We are the biggest community in the world for a social generation.
