We do not know each other, Spikeyj..
yes, that is a tricky bit with attempting to deal suspended shares
privately. ... don’t you trust anders to come up with the money?
Spikeyj, a cert is not needed. The shares can be transferred from my account to the buyer's account directly. The counter party risk is the issue and it would be helpful if HL can assist with that..
LL, all you need to do is ask HL to issue you a certificate for your
holding and send it to you. they might charge you a small admin
fee for that. but once you have your certificate, you can just crack
on and sell the shares directly to anders and arrange the payment
directly between the two of you. after all, you’ve already agreed
the price & the quantity. just leaves you with counter party risk.
HL are a large firm. Our transaction is relatively small for them. You may manage to get them to help for a fee!
LL, thanks. I'll speak with them today. I find it strange they can't act as some sort of broker between us given they hold the shares on their Nominees account and we both deal with HL.
Anders, I can save you trawling the LSE board for my recent post. I said this in my post yesterday -
"Anders_uk, I've spoken with HL about a share transfer from my account to you. It can be done but the downside is that it will take 3 or more working days for the shares to be moved out of my ISA. The money transfer needs to be done by BACS transfer between us. HL cannot accept responsibility if only one side of the transaction takes place. If you're still interested in buying my shares can you please let me have a phone number or another way to contact you privately (possibly username with ADVFN). Thank-you."
LL, the idea was we concluded before the delist date, I was confident in the board sticking to their word.
Sorry I may have missed your post yesterday, I wad a day in the office. I'll call HL today and see what's involved.
For the record, if we do manage to conclude a deal, I will give the profits from those shares to a cancer charity and post proof on here.
gfd no-one said you could get commission lol!
Tonwin, if we keep this up whether he is or not it will embarrass him enough and maybe he will do the right thing..
Anders_uk if there was an RNS saying the company did not have a nomad and would get delisted, would you honour the deal?
I did notice that you didn't reply to the post about my HL phone call yesterday. Please respond to that now. I think we should talk about this in private.
Ian, I would like to think l l is a gentleman and that he would honour the deal, though I have my doubts and think he is probably flapping about like an headless chicken.
Goodflyingduck, what was it now 10% each way so 20% overall commission .. :-)
Tonwin, and therein lies the problem is LL a gentleman, we shall see :-)
It's a gentleman's agreement and l l should honour it
By our powers combined, we are... LEGALLY BINDING!
Though I question the practicalities of legal enforcement over an entirely anonymous mode of communication
Somehow I don't think LL will be so keen to sell now.
However, there's a contract.
