Take care and stay strong for you and your families Ian_ and Portsmouth1
You’re great characters and true gentlemen
Ian_ especially you have kept me sane and on the true path throughout the madness surrounding this board. All the very best guys
All the best to both of you, may you both be rewarded with a healthy recovery and an FSP of a colossal amount.
Echo what everyone has said, there are some lovely poster on this forum who just all want the best for each other. Get well soon both of you.
Men are not very good at talking about illness, but tonight's chat board has shown we can talk and be thoughtful to people we barely know. This is why this board is something special. Wishing Ian / Portsmouth the very best of luck and a complete recovery.
Just checked in here after a busy day and read about the health challenges both Ian and Portsmouth are facing, my sincerest best wishes and thoughts to you both while you go through this time. Its heartwarming to read that there are so many decent people here who are rooting for you both puts the one or two nutters in perspective.
Ian & Portsmouth
You both seem like absolute Gentleman & very respected members of this board & of course a right pair of salty sea dogs ,
I wish both of you a full speedy recovery & a deserved Biblical outcome on this journey .
A deck chair & Rum have each of your names on .
Good luck with the retrace! I wish. Maybe June/July don’t hold your breath! It’s been in bottom draw so long I need to shift cobwebs. Take the **** if you want but this has been my worst performing share and not much hope. A 7/1 at the races would be a better bet! Take the **** but most of you don’t realise you can’t land Kippers they are smoked Herring. Clear your eyes! Good luck. I think there is about 20% chance of this being a success! Good luck!
Thanks a shame, it’s been my most successful share, in at least than a penny, decent holding, decent growth. Proves the point that entry to a share is much more important than the exit, you obviously bought high. Maybe spend some time reflecting on your errors rather than try to knock a fantastic company, fantastic BOD and fantastic upside.
Whatsoccuring
You actually think that is in anyway amusing , if you actually read what the Thread related to rather than mouthing off to boost your sad little ego , ignorant beyond words .
Well said Tilly. They have no shame, the sad and uncouth.
Well , what can I say , jumping on a thread about life challenges just to try and get a bit of exposure..... truly beneath the lowest level of humanity . Absolutely pathetic in the truest sense of the word , if you’re not sure about the meaning try and figure out how you look it up.
Good luck Ian and Portsmouth , the sun will shine and the days will come .
Whatoccuring are you really so shallow , petty and greedy that when people wish each other good health all you think about is a potential ramp behind it. You are a sick individual and should be ashamed of yourself.
I would like to echo the support to Ian and Portsmouth 1. Both have been positive contributors to the board and I hope your respective treatment will ensure future health for you and your family sakes and a possible trip to York when the EUA sale completes.
Rob from Northern Ireland
To Ian and Portsmouth another one from Northern Ireland wishing you well.
I have just been catching up on things and wanted to pass on my best wishes to Ian & Portsmouth. I wish you both a speedy recovery, take and care and get well soon. You are both decent people and I thank you for all your contributions on the board, you make this a better place.
Take care I meant to say.
Hi everyone I haven’t been involved in the chat group as long as many of you here, some threads I agree with and some I don’t and that is what these chats are about each person has and is entitled to their own view.
In regards cancer we should all stand together and support each other, as I am typing this my wife is in hospital having had a new hip to rid what is hopefully the last section of cancer in her body. She has been through the mill the last 18 months from mastectomy/chemo and radio therapy. I am so proud of her and how she has and is dealing with this terrible disease.
Tilly I haven’t introduced myself officially but have enjoyed reading the posts between yourself and many others on here. May I ask permission for everyone to come on deck so we can raise our glasses to these brave people and send our hopes and wishes in their recovery.
Cheers
I know my opinion regarding the messages on here about the passing of one of the directors was possibly a bit divisive, and I'm only bringing that up so not to be contradictory with the next one.
Since investing here back in July last year I've read Ian's and Portsmouth's comments, as well as everyone else's, and both come across as genuine folks.
I offer my best wishes to you both and I'm sure you will give it good scrap and win. It's a topic close to my heart as the Queen of Clangers is going through it following a particularly grim diagnosis last year.
As well as the chemo she has properly gone for the supplements, diet and other things which I can only be in awe of as I like booze and the odd bacon butty.
I'm sure she would be happy to share the details of what she's doing so let me know if it's of interest. Stage 4 last year but getting a great reduction in her main tumour and feels good from what she's doing. We doubt it's going to be a cure but anything is worth a shot.
I won't put it on here as I'm no doc and neither is the Missus but she has really done her homework on it all. As I said, let me know if you want info.
There is something called Chris Beat Cancer which I know she gets a lot of her info and inspiration from, I'm absolutely not connected to that at all btw (get fed up of hearing about him sometimes, lol) but it might be worth a check out if you haven't already.
Not often I post but follow this BB some genuine people on here .all the best Ian & Portsmouth1 . We are close to the end game now hold on to your golden tickets GLA

Excellent idea & consider it raised from myself with a huge glass of Grog .!
Good luck & a full speedy recovery to All .
King of clangers
Hope the Queen of Clangers makes a full & speedy recovery
Good luck to you & all
Just like to wish Ian and Portsmouth1 all the very best. We all hope to make some extra money to make our family's lives better but if you have your health we are very lucky. Hope everyone stays healthy during these difficult times. If our investments come good that's a wonderful bonus
Thank you Tilly. Very kind and I will pass it on to the Missus.
Speedy recovery to Ian and Portsmouth, and anyone else who might be going through anything like it.
Basher, seems like you are nailing it, keep up the good work.
The one thing I will say from what the Queen has told me about the stuff she's read and that she is still here and feeling well; there might be times when you think you 'don't have time' but she's spoken to folks who were given a few weeks / months who are now years beyond that. Any timescales are based simply on stats, a prescriptive prognosis and usually skewed by the fact that cancer might inevitably get a good proportion of us if we a fortunate enough to reach a ripe old age. There's always time and definitely ways to make more time post diagnosis.
GLA with health and GLA to everyone long on EUA, much as I disagree with him; if Hoochy's prediction comes in we can club together and buy a hospital, where we can all conveless when every needed.
A Scrooge McDuck money bath would be great therapy. :-)
Having been through it and come out the other side, I would just like to wish Ian and Portsmouth all the very best. Especially appreciate all Ian does for this board and it’s readers.
PD.
Cheers Hoochy, appreciate that. It's difficult to say the words about your situation as I don't what the outcome was. And whilst we bicker sometimes I can tell you are a good person, so will have been a great support to your loved one.
God bless you and all. X
