Indeed the upgrade should be very positive imho
Les that’s very good news
Broughton Town Council met May 20th...
BROUGHTON TOWN COUNCIL MINUTES Signed: Date: 2024 Page 32 and ashover grit reservoirs, upgrade existing production facilities to include additional fluid storage tanks, separator system, surface pump and associated bunds, install gas processing equipment, construct a 600m underground gas pipeline and flow gas to the existing national grid pipeline and the long term production of oil and gas at Lodge Farm, Appleby. Resolved – no objection or comments
No real local opposition for sure - but is it really possible anymore to call any o&g development “not contentious”? I’m sure drill and drop and the Greens would run a few headlines quoting widespread opposition from local bird scantuary!
Serif, it's not a contentious application so purdah should not interfere if slated for a delegated decision.
I assume from the lack of messages there was nothing new from this meeting ,again
But why wasn’t there, especially in this day and age, a zoom connection to this meeting.
If that technology is too much and considering there seems to be a lot of Irish shareholders in this company , any chance of such a meeting in Dublin . There might be a less polite and more robust exchange of views ,especially on exactly where are we on the corrib & eb farm outs? Are we any wiser after today ?

If you look at the original rns there are restrictions in place which protect eog’s position.
The EG ownership structure is far from ideal - Europa owns a minority stake in a private company that cannot block ordinary resolutions. Therefore the EG asset is only a beneficial ownership. The irony of minority shareholder rights should not be lost on WH. The farminee will come into the licence and Europa would then be a minority shareholder in a minority licence holder. Where is Europa's monetisation route??
https://www.europaoil.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/20240613_ye-olde-****_investor-presentation.pdf
Had v Quick Look at new presentation - if anyone going could they ask
EQ - farmout process imminent/next few weeks - what are we still waiting for and will we have it before end of July?
Wressle - planning permission given as end of Q2 - can they confirm if it has gone to delegated authority or postponed to Q3?
Cloughton - what is the next stepin progress that will be announced - not seeing that anything firm yet
Ireland - where are we now in the farm out process - is it live are the people in the data room?
I'm pretty much fed up of these knees up at the pub. Just bloody start to deliver on something. Endless tweeting and back slapping is starting to feel like we are being taken for fools here.

Serif , yes hopefully news tomorrow
😂 think people would probably refer to Tennyson as “City analysts” - in everyday speech. But may be there are others too …perhaps all will be revealed on Thursday (or not!).
Could be Serif, but it does say ‘ according to city analysts’ plural, or is that poetic license?
Not sure, Gerry, but might it refer to this Tennyson note?

Very bad local and EU election results for Greens and Sinn Fein. Mainstream parties did ok. May be that finally Irish politics moving in direction more helpful for Inishkea.

If a deal has already been done, it would be material and would be required to be released to the market immediately. Also if there was any mileage in any of these rumours - i'm sure we would have seen some reaction in the SP which we have not.
I personally agree a deal is already done and its on a sort of 'private consultation '.
We got the inishka extension for nothing. The process started months ago , so progress is i personally agree is being made.
I personally don't see any news coming our way. The last RNS of any significance was the January Irish licence extension, where WH was 'delighted that our application has been granted and that we can continue with further technical studies of the licence and seeking a project partner'. I suspect management are working to a timetable of getting something moving before the annual bonuses are calculated, perhaps November. Nothing before then I feel.
You always like to think something will be announced to coincide with Proactive, or the shareholder meet and greet, but it never works out that way.
Interesting article posted by BillyRayVal on the PRD board.
This article from the WSJ is also potentially very positive for gas use, basically a way to decarbonise gas-to-power:
https://www.wsj.com/business/energy-oil/danny-rice-natural-gas-billionaire-7dbd7128
A Natural-Gas Billionaire Bets on Greener Fossil Fuel
NET Power CEO Danny Rice says a new decarbonizing process could open the way for utilities to produce clean energy from natural gas
Danny Rice helped build one of the largest natural-gas producers in the U.S. and became a billionaire. In his newest venture, he is still betting on natural gas—but this time as part of an unusual process that aims to clean up gas-fired power generation.
Traditional gas power plants spit CO2 out of exhaust stacks, contributing to global warming. NET Power, a company that Rice took public in 2023 in a $1.5 billion SPAC deal, has developed a gas plant with a different process, using the carbon dioxide it produces to spin a turbine and create electricity—a technology it says will eliminate almost all CO2 emissions.
A move toward renewable power sources reinforces the need for natural gas, Rice argues, as wind and solar can’t crank out energy around the clock. NET Power, he says, aims to offer utility companies an affordable way to make the grid carbon-free.
“It’s a whole lot easier, and a whole lot safer, to try to find ways to decarbonize fossil fuels than it is to move away from them,” says Rice, who is NET Power’s chief executive.
NET Power’s patented process consists of burning natural gas along with oxygen to create heat and a mixture of pure CO2 and water that spins a turbine and creates power. Some of the CO2 is reused in the system and the rest is sequestered underground—which means that a plant using the technology will emit virtually no CO2, according to the company.
What day does everyone think that we could be getting some news this week?

Sadly the UK with its new government has some pain to go through before its ministers learn it takes time to transition (as we must) but to do so too quickly will impoverish its citizens leading to all sorts of other problems including, potentially, civil unrest.

As always Les, I am hoping for a triple drill deal, with EOG, PRD & Corrib deep !!! Great to see movement. GLA, DAB
Interesting that PRD continue to push ahead with Corrib South.
Con’t
Paul Griffiths, Executive Chairman of Predator, commented:
"We have made significant progress over the last few months developing our portfolio of projects.
Whilst we understand that there is an expectation for instant results and updates, we operate in a complex business sector within a framework of robust regulatory and environmental procedures established by governments. Our priority is to ensure that are attractive portfolio of assets is optimally developed within our financial capabilities, without taking on burdensome debt, and in accordance with all government regulations.
We are now at a critical stage in seeking to establish an uplift in the value of all of our assets and this must be achieved in a cautious manner to ensure maximum potential to monetise when the time is right and the de-risking of scalable value is complete.
The public markets rarely give value to medium and longer term business development plans, however systematically proving up oil and gas resources provides the mechanism for extracting value from other entities within the upstream and downstream natural resources sector, that understand the value of gas in particular to support the Energy Transition and the potential for commodity trading in what is still a very attractive global market for energy supply and security.
The management team has focus and a clear strategy for business development and will continue along that path until our assets reach a stage where near-term production start-up can be delivered as a catalyst for monetisation.
The Company's Titanosaurus project represents a good example of why our industry still attracts investors. The potential multiple returns on investment on successfully drilling and flowing gas from the Titanosaurus structure are difficult to match in any other industry. A favourable fiscal regime, proximity to infrastructure with significant under-utilised capacity, low development costs and a tangible contribution to the energy transition combine to enhance the immediate opportunity that Titanosaurus presents".

I'm not convinced about Ireland but EG is looking like a farmout will be achieved. The wait continues.
Equatorial Guinea: A farm out this year, a drill next year! Could add 10p per share! Wow!
The real positive here is that Equatorial Guinea in nowhere near Europe and hence no cry babies, red tape, NIMBY's (hypocrites).
Unlike Ireland companies are coming to Europa for a chance to examine the data.
Our best chance yet!
What's another year when I've been waiting for 10 years! I live in hope!
i was tempted to buy more, I've resisted!
Show me the Money :-)

Well, let hope the Irish GE is October this year, which some people are predicting. So finger crossed for an election sooner rather later.
Any interesting questions posed last night ?
Ireland - yes 5 years - the same period Eamon Ryan has been the minister - wish it was caused by navel gazing because then could farm it out tomorrow.
As expected, nothing new tonight. They have been gazing at their navels for the last 6 months before thinking about farming out EG. FFS, they have previous on this, having been thinking about farming out Ireland for, is it, 5 years? Has nobody told him that tonynordstrom is going to convene an egm by year end if there is no progress? WH scuttled out of the room immediately afterwards, not stopping to speak to any shareholders, as they are not important to him. He probably has to go back and count his money. Tony, I think you are holding the baton on the EGM. Go Tony.... show us how it's done, mate.

@Copper - snap! Re commerciality suspect it’s more about getting a decent flowrate - think there will be plenty of “development costs” to use as tax shelter.
Drill site found HOT agreed.Progress at last .Would it be commercial with high tax rate.Same as Wressle I guess.

Thanks BobbyB. Looks like they have finally made some progress with Cloughton since last presentation. Will also be interested in what they have to say about how the C-P takeover of Marathon is likely to play out for the EQ licence.
Haven't we seen this presentation many times before. No change. Same old, same old. WH , you need to come up with something far better than this to move the SP.
Maybe WH could add some information on this tax during todays presentation. I'm sure EOG directors read this board.
Tony, I am unsure about this myself, but dose not Ireland also have a 75% windfall tax rate. I think HSBC bank pays tax on income / profits from overseas. My hopes are with such high tax rates it makes more sense to drill. UK windfall tax ends in 2029.

Aimshame,
I think the important point here is that Hargreaves Lansdown is prepared to sign a requistion in support of shareholders which was previously disclosed to this BB. Your post comes across as nothing more than patting yourself on the back for an issue that others resolved with Hargreaves Lansdown weeks ago.
Unlike your post, mine is an explanation from HL which i felt the people who asked for an EGM deserved.
You are very agressive, I think you need help to control your anger issues.
Aimshame,
Your a bit late to the party here - I posted (here) the drafted requistion from HL several weeks ago and was lambasted by you and a couple of other nit wits here.
Now you are posting something that is old news wanting a pat on the back ???
I am copying a letter I received from HL, regarding the requisition of an EGM. I think it shows what applying pressure can do. It also shows that Europa really put two fingers up their shareholders when they used the legal loophole. If the share price does not improve significantly by the next AGM, we as shareholders have the option now call an EGM and force a change. For me, that would mean a merger or sell but I am definitely not happy with the salaries being taken and the languishing share price.
I have reviewed this matter again and spoken at length with our Corporate Actions Team regarding this.
At the time of my first response on 23 January, I was correct in stating that HL is not able to contact a company on your behalf, but we have made a slight exception in regards to this matter. As I previously outlined, from our experience from such situations, Europa Oil &Gas should have accepted the evidence of your holding that we had provided you to date.
We understood that multiple HL clients were experiencing the same issue with arranging this meeting with the company. Our Corporate Actions Team therefore spoke with our Legal Department, asking if there was anything that HL could do for our clients in this situation. Our normal process would be that HL does not get involved in this nature of issue, however, given the difficulties multiple clients faced, our Legal Department investigated what could be done whilst remaining within our remit.
The letter of requisition was written by our Legal Department and provides legal reasoning why the company should accept your request to host a meeting, but outlines that the request is on your behalf rather than HL requesting the meeting itself. At the time I issued my response to you, this had not yet been arranged, but HL has since made an exception by writing this letter which was completed on 9 May 2024, due to the issues you and other holders of this position have faced. I appreciate that the information included in my response does seem to be outdated, but I want to assure you that at the time of writing, I had been assured that this was something HL could not do.
Although HL will still not be able to contact the company to request a meeting ourselves, by having our Legal Department write this document, we are hopeful that this does pressure the company to obey the shareholder request. Whilst this is not something HL would usually do, I do hope that by us having written this letter, it does show that we have taken this matter seriously.
I have attached the letter of requisition to this message. If the meeting has not yet been called, you are able to complete the highlighted sections and return this to us. We will then have the letter signed by a registered signatory at HL before forwarding this tothe company on your behalf.
I am obliged at this stage to remind you of your right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, details of which were provided in our email of 23

I am afraid you have heard it 100s of times before because it is true.
Where have we heard this before. 100s of times on this board
This may all be very good news for the companies and directors involved, but for an investor this has been dead money invested for 15 years plus. No matter who is in charge they have not be able the offer any return on faithful investors who have backed their newly issued shares. A gamble company yes, but the losses here are incredible... very disappointing that time frames have been long over due and lack of share buying by some directors. EOG have been a dog share for a long time, only now will there be a chance of recovering lost money with the possibility of a farm out.
from ujo results this morning.
in the uk, union jack will remain focused on the development of its flagship project, wressle, where the operator and joint venture partners have ambitious near-term appraisal and development programmes planned. the board is of the opinion that, within the wressle development, there remains significant material upside which will support the company with revenues for at least another decade.

Apologies, wrong board!!!
Hard to ramp rbd with the current management, CS has a very good chance imo but it wont be any where near as lucrative as rbd claimed in october (assuming there's no war in Europe). I suspect WN will still be in limbo in H1 2025, even it if is drilled, dont underestimate Rathlin's ability to screw it up. Meanwhile the leeches draw unjustifiable salaries...
A lot of investors here who have written this off.
Rampers here ? You having a laugh or what. There are some investors here who see maybe EG coming good but there
Joyride, you should always do your own research and take your own advice IMHO. Don't let the rampers on this BB deflect you from making your own decisions.

Interesting Flombo. I have often wondered how 'our seller' could trade those volumes without triggering holdings notifications - I (naively) assumed that notifications were mandatory and enforced. Is there any way we can out this bad actor if your hypothesis is correct?
It’s interesting to note that from shareholders interests from dec 2023 to March 2024, the main shareholders have increased their holdings from 71.63% to 77.1 % ( not including directors)
They are all reputable firms who you would imagine would abide my aim rule 26 and thus would notify any change in shareholding.
The 2 private investor .. bo koll ( he had increased from 4.96 to 5.19% ) and laurvig( has remained at 6% and normally notifies when his holdings change )
I have not been keeping check ( and bearing in mind of course it’s impossible to know all these big sales from same person ) but it seems to range from 1 to 2 million shares most weeks ,normally after large purchases.
It’s been going on since November at least so you must be talking about 30-60m shares or 3% -6% of the stock .
We have a bad actor here who is involved in some shenanigans and is determined to drive this stock low and keep it low without abiding by the notification rules.
Why ? Takeover bid ? Disgruntled shareholders from the past ? Market makers manipulation ?

Good luck all .
I've come to the conclusion that I've either done my money here or that this 10 bags. Either way signing off. Glad, especially Serif
Flombino - I thought you were going to put me on ignore - why dont you stick to what you said you would do !
Gerry - dont flatter yourself - I had actually forgotten who you were. The reference to Gretta Thunberg was completely tongue in cheek - not meant to refer to anyone here let alone insult anyone here - so if the hat doesnt fit dont wear it !
The intent of my original post was just to share with fellow sharholders (not necessarily Europa shareholders) that HL appear to be willing to support shareholders in signing any future requisition - simples nothing more
Yes Tony, there are some pretty dopy posters here:
For example:- your last paragraph on the post at 19.01 on the 13th May takes the biscuit!
“The fact was that Paul Barret did not have the correct paperwork to call the meeting (despite what a few here claimed ) and i3e might well have been perfectly justified in rejecting the request. These shareholder meetings cost money and if Will Holland already had a majority of shareholders on board - why would he agree to a meeting which was not legally requested and was only supported by a few left wing, tree hugging Greta Thunberg fans !”
What i3e have to do with it I have no idea; it always pays to re-read your post before sending it Tony.
Good to see that you have stopped insulting Paul and at least you have tried to remember his surname even though you have spelt it incorrectly; it is Barrett.
But come on Tony, do you honestly think that a “few left wing, tree hugging Greta Thunberg fans “ would invest their hard earned money in an Oil & Gas Company?
I’m one of the shareholders who supported Paul, so I suppose you are referring to me as well as others who post on here. For your information Tony, my politics are as diametrically opposite to Greta Thunberg and all that she stands for as could possibly be and which now apparently includes her taking sides with Hamas. What a stupid unfounded thing to say, I thought that you were better than that Tony, just goes to show how wrong one can be.
Lol. You insult people and then use a different account to say your own post “ was quiet reasonable “
Do the honourable thing now ,” dopey” and disappear for a while .
