Cambridge 5G network. Not sure what you are talking about. This is about wireless as a replacement to FTTH. Fiber is extremely expensive and only viable in New builds and established dense population.
my tempering of exuberance is very necessary as many past shareholders of ENET will undoubtedly testify.. just like all the chit chat on MTN earlier.. they are late to the 5G party in SA.. Rain has been rolling out its 5G data network and using other kit..
Seems to have abandoned the teens and 20's talk and now will just keep mentioning the IPO! Most here are in profit or at least break even so IPO to this BB is pointless. TL you were right about the padded cell.
You can’t swear on these forums, can you.
But you can read capitals!
Total Waste All the Time
You bring absolutely nothing to this forum Cambridge.
If the £1 per share get together ever comes to fruition (the get together not the SP I mean), I think it will be pretty fun as you guys seem to be on my wavelength (excuse the pun)!
actually TL the only thing I have shouted so far is WHY DID I BUY... but hopefully if the recent share price traction continues that might be in a positive tone... its now only down 66% since IPO so looking rosier!!!
The Company anticipates that its current 5G UPF (user plane functionality) engagements with the Chinese OEMs will lead to a roll-out of up to 2,000 FPGA SmartNIC cards during 2021 at unit prices ranging from $2k to $3k. Additionally, design kit and licensing revenues from existing customer relationships, including those detailed above are anticipated to result in up to $2m of revenues over the next 12 months, on top of the ongoing recurrent royalties and FPGA revenue.
I think that Cambridge might be the guy in the padded cell next to mine. I hear him screaming in the night. Shouting WHY DID I SELL...
01234 - I'm beginning to like both your and skid35's humor. That and the recent SP rise are the only things keeping me smile at the moment!
You know when you develop a pathological hatred for someone in a film. You keep telling yourself they’re a fictional character but you just can’t help that sickening feeling ....oh morning Cambridge!
Yes Cambridge let us hope that poor little Ethernity can hang on to the cliff just a bit longer. Yes who is this nasty seller. I am wondering. Hopefully they have some more because without share availability the price cannot sustainably rise.
Hopefully that very naughty seller reads this board and feels terrible.
Lets hope the share price doesn't regress..... 50p by the weekend would be welcomed by all... i do wonder who is dumping all this stock over the last few days.. hopefully they are nearly done...
Fair enough TL
Perhaps I’m just fortunate, who knows.
It's also interesting that the UK has just about the slowest and most expensive fiber service in Europe. Average is 30 something Mbps.
I sure as hell ain’t!
Uhif I think a recent watchdog report said 90% of the UK weren't getting what they paid for.
Tarana on AA2 had a agreement like pay as you go. The operator paid for the service from Tarana. Ethernity will have a service agreement including evolution, maintenance and much more Inc royalty for the code. That will become recurrent income year on year
Sounds good TL.
Re UK advertised speeds, can only speak for myself. Was given a guaranteed minimum speed, if it drops below a certain level it’s money back time, but it doesn’t, speed is above the minimum. As the same supplier is offering me up to 900Mbps, I would think the same thing will apply. No one in UK is going to pay for speeds they’re not getting . Obviously speed subject to local conditions etc, but, imo, all seems quite transparent and straightforward.
15% @ Q3: $550 per card
10% @ Q3: $800 per card
I think that maybe there is some kind of royalties for the IT that they sell with the card? Who knows
MTN has rights for the whole of Africa. I hope that you can see where this is going.
They could have 700 Mbps now if the customer paid. I think that they have the right approach especially when competing with 3G mobile. Most of Africa has no coverage. 2G is still dominate. 4G plus is only in South Africa. The market is huge.
G2 will evolve the product.
The G1 is capable of 700 Mbps. The limitation is not the tech but the local market and installed fiber to tower. Each installation can be remotely set a limit according to the tariff.
Also the UK advertised speeds are nonsense, like fake 5G.
Sounds good, only thing I question is the speed. I assume they’ve done their market research.
They advertise entry level at 5Mbps, that sounds very slow to me, up to top of range 100Mbps, that’s ok, for now.
We’re on 80Mbps, it’s not fibre, just been offered an upgrade to 900Mbps. Now that’s fast. I’m not saying they have to get up to 900, but I just wonder if it’s a tad on the sluggish side, or could well be as we move forwards?
Gharri I think that if the big shark were hungry I think that Ethernity would cast this solution in a separate boat not a bigger one. How much today, take the patent, take the contract... $100m maybe.
In December 2020 Ethernity expected $500k in 2021 and $1m in 2022. That formed a 30 something share price. I think £1.50 now would be way too cheap.
I just can't see this product dieing on the shelf.
Certainly an interesting side play.
On another level. If each box services 500 customers and they are $10000 each to buy that's $20 a connection. Yes a receiver is required but also in fiber. So fiber costs $600 a house in suburban or rural on average.
If Ethernity makes it possible $1000 is looking cheap.
