Is there a bottom drawer low enough....
what is odd is that I would have thought someone with an interest (ie, shares) in EDL would have attended the meeting... and assuming EDL has also attended the meeting and laid out what the company has been doing in the past 12 months, or is about to do in the next 12, you would think that a trade would have come out of it.
But nothing.
Truly remarkable.
I like your style T72

I knew booking stripper for the AGM was a bad idea! lol
3.25pm for the RNS, just a guess
This late on a Friday afternoon the word ominous comes to mind.
on Doilies!
Chocolate-covered digestives... it's an annual treat and only happens a few times annually.
They may have stopped at the pub celebrating getting sign off of all the resolutions. They probably have some holiday booked over August if so will be interested to see how they plan to progress things through August and the holiday season
in the case of EDL is an opportunity for the board to have Tea and digestives at the expense of its shareholders..
The silence continues. The RNS is usually prepared, so what's going on?
The BOD haven't been getting pelted with rotten fruit have they?
Should we be worried that they held an AGM on the 5th Jan as well...
Just wondering whether having 2 AGMs is any reflection on their general approach to corporate governance. Maybe a third AGM will be forthcoming... I mean, why not.
They also managed to post an RNS one hour after the AGM on the 5th. No sign of an update yet...
Did they publish an agenda with resolutions to pass?
All resolutions will be duly passed.
.
Did you have to show evidence that you own shares to get in?
More tumbleweeds than humans in attendance lol
The current rapid rise in coal price (I can't see this being sustained, who knows) has most likely caused some intense negotiations with regard to contracts, something that we will find out about in due course.
3.14 you are correct it's good to be kept up to date, and as we all know EDL's history in that respect is impeccable. LOL

I think news is key, and just keeping the market up-to-date with progress reports and the company’s aims and expectations is promotion in itself. We have had lots of great news over the years, but never enough to seriously move us forward.
Hopefully we are poised for change!
Aerial you need good news to do that though.
No Edenville CEO has ever promoted the company with any visible enthusiasm. Even after the promises when pressed by me about their abysmal communications it’s still as if they RNS because they have to and not because they want to.
You would think companies would be chafing at the bit to get news out to promote their company!
Esquimo it's a good job they are keeping investors better informed as they said they would a few agms ago just imagine what it would be like otherwise :-)
