Great RNS today
Good morning Gr33 and IG , good to see comments on here.
Gr33: the fire as started imo, Borrowing or payments from the distributor who is set to make a fortune out of these products.
Being in the farming business, just in the Uk I can understand the demand,
There is certain market demand here and the Midas share pick report seems positive. By my calculation, it still looks like operating losses against cash at hand will still require an injection of capital in early 2024 (using the projections from the Midas share pick). It looks like it will need to be at least 10% of current market cap for them to have enough runway to reach break even.
Personally I will wait and see until we get preliminary data on 2023. I agree that from 2024 (second half onwards) this stock should be on fire. At that point we should be looking at multiple regulatory processes completed, technologically de-risked product and commercialisation proven cash-positive business.
Looks a really interesting share this one
The worlds sixth largest cut flower producer coming on board is a great piece of news.
GR33:
The quickest way to answer your question is:
Look back on this board to the 4th of June, a posting by a tonypeters, the posting shows an article tipping this share and why.
Basically there is a world wide gap in a massive global market and this company is plugging that gap With unique products, It’s not really a wait and see imp
Does anybody understand what has driven these latest SP increases?
I couldn't pull much out of the annual report myself. It still looks like they will need more cash next year but sales volume is up. On the sum of it I felt this was a wait and see stock.
I do supply many acres of seeds to farmers and offer advice to livestock farmers, Many pesticides have recently been banned leaving growers loosing large proportions of crops, lowering output resulting in less food production, The products are fantastic and look set to be the answer to a massive world wide farming Problem. I expect a major uptake of the products.
Well done Eden Research.
"Among other efforts, Corteva will increase its production of hybrid corn and sunflower seeds in the Ukraine region by 30% over the next five years to ensure a stable supply of seeds for Ukrainian farmers to plant in 2023 and beyond."
" June 8, 2023
Corteva Agriscience and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) are collaborating to support Ukrainian farmers’ access to crop inputs, financing and grain storage.
The company said it will increase its production of hybrid corn and sunflower seeds in the region by 30% over the next five years to ensure a stable supply of seeds for Ukrainian farmers to plant in 2023 and beyond. "Root-knot nematodes are a problem for growers. These microscopic roundworms attack and penetrate the roots of plants, preventing water and nutrients from reaching leaves and fruit, which can seriously reduce harvest quantity and quality. Since growers face dwindling choices for fighting soil pests, Cedroz was developed. It offers a nature-identical solution that copies natural plant defense mechanisms, and its active substances are approved for organic farming in the EU.
Those active compounds—thymol and geraniol—have a synergistic mode of action that increases their efficacy in treated soil. The environmental profile of Cedroz shows no interference with pollinators.
The water-based formulation uses Eden's terpene technology and the patented Sustaine® encapsulation system. When dry, the outer shell forms a carbohydrate glass to lock in the active ingredients. Once hydrated, the particles activate and provide sustained release via pores. Osmotic stress will cause the pores to close again. They'll reopen again when rehydrated for further active ingredient release.
Cedroz has lethal effect against juvenile stage root-knot nematodes and inhibits egg hatching. It leaves no residues and can be applied until harvest. And you can easily apply it via existing drip irrigation systems."

"A groundbreaking biofungicide, developed by UK firm Eden Research, has gained regulatory approval in New Zealand to help fight botrytis in its Sauvignon Blanc.
Due to New Zealand’s damp conditions and fluctuating temperatures, its vines are prone to botrytis, with its popular Sauvignon Blanc variety particularly susceptible to the rot.
However, a solution may now be in sight thanks to a new sustainable biofungicide called Novellus that its makers hope will stem the costly problem. It is estimated that botrytis can cause a financial loss to New Zealand winery owners of up to NZ$5,000 (£2,500) per hectare.
The biofungicide will be rolled out across kiwi vineyards later this year, having previously been actioned in Australia."
That's an interesting comment. What do you think we might see?
Big news on horizon.. fingers crossed

Fighting the crow plague in corn: deterring birds with a new dressing
Year after year, pigeons, crows and other birds feed on the young corn. Conventional dressings are hardly available to prevent bird damage. Now the approval of a new deterrent is applied for. Bird damage is considered one of the main causes of sometimes significant losses in maize and other crops. Active ingredients that have been approved for a long time, such as Mesurol, have been banned since 2019. Since then, the problem has become more and more menacing."

"As regulators clamp down on chemical pesticides, plant-based pest control is natural pick for investors of Eden Research"
They are ramping the benefits to investors ahead of a discounted capital raising. With less than £2M revenue and nearly £3M in net losses it sounds good in words but is highly speculative until we see some realistic numbers. Probably a good investment in 3 or 4 years time.
"CEO Sean Smith speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive about the sustainable agriculture company's application for EU authorisation of its new product, Ecovelex.
Ecovelex is a seed treatment designed to reduce the amount of seed consumed by birds.
Smith says that Ecovelex "provides the same level of efficacy" as the existing seed treatments currently facing regulatory scrutiny."

This is a really new product and a new product category which proves safety on seeds. It is a bird repellent that is safe, effective and natural.
It looks like maize is the starting point and in all probability other crops are very likely to follow. I have seen the devastating effect that birds can have on various crops. So many toxic products are being banned as people wake up to the effects some have on health. I feel that various countries outside the EU will start to follow a similar path when they see Ecovelex working and the money that can be saved by farmers. Other markets should begin to open up.
