Let's hope 2025 latest
When is your 10 years up?
Did anyone here, go to the AGM last week? Had you done so, you could have asked the cash question and got your answer. I am satisfied that cash is not a requirement, the same as everyone else at the AGM.
For the new investors that have recently come into Eden, possibly on the back of the Daily Mail article by Joanne Hart, I hope you have done your proper research and understood Eden and its immediate prospects, let alone longer term prospects.
If you have simply jumped in because she said it will go back to 19p, then as we wait, you have likely taken your profit, but then in my opinion, if you understood where the Company is in its commercial journey, you would likely recognise that today's price is still an excellent entry point.
Eden's prospects are phenomenal and those prospects are immediate (2023)
We await Californian regulatory approval of Mevalone whilst other states can already buy Mevalone from Eden post regulatory approval earlier this year. So this is US income generative now.
Many states in the US have given regulatory approval for Cedroz and so orders will be coming in for this too. Again, Eden is now US income generative for Cedroz
Mevalone is widely available elsewhere in the world generating income and Cedroz will too
Ecovelex, Eden's bird repellent seed is seeking emergency approval and the current incumbent is off sale January 2024 leaving Ecovelex as the option .
See Eden's commentary under the Corteva heading For Ecovelex in the following RNS https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/eden_research/news/rns/story/xlgkmpr
Awaiting appointment of a distributor this year for Eden's first insecticide. Read Eden's opinion on insecticide sales from the 2020 AGM Q & A https://www.edenresearch.com/_userfiles/pages/files/r2020/eden_research_agm_qa_final.pdf. I suspect this figure is much larger now. It was confirmed that Eden 'could' invoice for insecticide sales, this year (2023)
The read post 14544 from AttyG on this link from another BB. It sums up the AGM very well https://uk.advfn.com/cmn/fbb/thread.php3?id=27560896&from=14544
That's an interesting comment. What do you think we might see?
Here it is, released today

I think you/we might have to wait for the US EPA approval to see Eden pushing themselves in the US and the resulting buts coming through.
We had an update video from Eden which was quite good on the 16/11/21 https://www.proactiveinvestors.com/companies/news/966437/eden-research-aims-to-bring-its-sustainably-focused-bio-pesticides-to-the-us-market-966437.html
and there is a podcast with StockBoxMedia being released on Monday https://twitter.com/StockBoxMedia/status/1461707843699154945?s=20
So I think Eden is laying down some information prior to a US EPA approval, before they hopefully inform the market more fully, with bigger news and to entice US investors, as well as some more in the UK
I think you need to listen to all of today's 'Investor Conference' if you haven't already which will address some of your comments pre-AGM.
IMO, it was very well executed.
Say's everything positive that investors need to know!
From today's RNS
"Having dealt with the unique circumstances 2020 has presented us with, Eden has moved into fiscal 2021 well-funded and well positioned to achieve its mission to become a leader in biopesticide products and natural, plastic-free microencapsulation technologies to the global crop protection, animal health and consumer products industries.
We have managed to manoeuvre our way through the global pandemic relatively unscathed and the future for Eden looks promising, with exciting developments in the pipeline.
The recently announced agreement with Corteva is, of course, significant to Eden and the seed treatment product area is an exciting addition to the already valuable, diverse portfolio of products and applications that the business has generated over the years."

Regardless of Corteva, Eden got approval for Cedroz, Italy with an estimated market value of €30.6 million per annum. That's 75% of the value of the Corteva deal (€40 million in the Placing RNS). Therefore, regardless of Corteva and 2024, the share price should be flying upwards now on the Italian approval alone.
The market is not responding as it should be and that is down to management to correct the markets understanding so that value can be aligned. In my opinion, Eden will have agreed a sale to Eastman for Italy already.

If we could get a bit of the sense of the 'Tesla' investment feel around us , the skies the limit. Funnily enough, a few of us have been talking about this for a while. People want investments that represent the future, are ground-breaking and are clear on their conscience. Eden fits this bill.
Well think of it this way. € 40 million euros is £35 million per annum. £35 million/380 million shares in issue apportions .09pence per share. IF Eden makes 5 or 6p from this and is applied a P/E ratio of 20 (not unreasonable for a tech biopesticide company, is it) then 20*5 is £1 a share.
I reckon the existing and expected income streams from Mevalone and Cedroz for 2021 will pay for the operations of Eden, so the Corteva deal should be clear profit.
"30p would be cheap for a t/o, but I would take it and move on"
If Eden contracts with Corteva on values that have previously RNS'd, there is not a chance in hell Eden will get taken out for 30p. £1 would be nearer the mark for a cheeky offer based on Corteva alone, so personally, I can't see that happening.
Can you elaborate please
wickymicky,
It's probably time Eden complemented their biopesticide company message & image with one of industrial biotech to their investment audience so that they are seen as a more exciting investment prospect to in turn drive money into the share price. The share price has a long way north to travel before it even gets close to over trading and therefore investors have plenty of headroom in my opinion from todays current share price.
Tech is at the forefront in most industries moving forward and Eden has self-declared 'unique' tech in the case of Sustaine. It is a subject that warrants more detailed explanation to the private investor community so as they can truly understand the forward potential of investing in Eden today.
From the Annual Report 2018 Eden commented
"BREXIT
The impact of Brexit is still an unknown to most UK companies, which is the case with Eden. However, the Company does not believe that the ownership of its EU approvals of Mevalone and its constituent active substances should be impacted by Brexit as guidance has been published stating that the owner of such approvals can continue to be a UK resident company."
Let's judge in this next two weeks and see where we are pre and post presentation. That said, I agree that eden is very slow to deliver in the share price
No I don't disagree, I totally agree.
We are waiting for a full update on Sipcam's evaluation of Sustaine for encapsulation of their commercial products and co-encapsulation. This was detailed in the June 2017 RNS. Cedroz income is less than a month away and will be bigger and not weather affected like Mevalone so sales shouldn't be restricted on this basis. Also, we understand it to be a replacement product for Eastman so it should immediately (hopefully) have market share.
With the Eden share price so low and any suitor realising the Cedroz income being so imminent coupled with (hopefully) imminent Sustaine success, then I do feel Eden is potentially very vulnerable to a low ball offer.
Perhaps the additional key to this is what SS said in his Proactive video. Barriers to entry and Eden following the trend. If you look at how long it takes a company to develop a product, the cost and bring it to market https://www.syngenta.com/how-we-do-it/research-and-development/how-we-make-new-products then why not get a head start by taking Eden out for pennies in the £.
Paolo, Why do yiu suspect the chances of a takeover in Eden are higher than elsewhere?
