EV is c £30m (adding A & ords) and netting cash off against pension deficit.. ...so EV/run rate EBIT is in 7-10 range (not that cheap), but I have faith in management here lol...and that juicy discount for non-voting aaoo/dyor
It has been a difficult six months for the Group after the record performance last year. Group turnover was down 17% at £21.6 million (2012: £26.0 million) and profit before tax fell 41% to £1.7 million (2012: £2.9 million). Operating profit before exceptional items dropped 32% to £1.8 million (2012: £2.6 million). Earnings per share fell 41% to 14.4p (2012: 24.2p). However the Group balance sheet remains strong and we have paid £1.8 million for our 70% acquisition of Dual Engraving yet still have net cash of £8.1 million.
40% discount now lol
lol
another top up at 290 DWHT is over £5 to buy...discount just toooooo big imv
were june last year
lol
here
again today
....so may want to wait & see??
...doubled my money on voting..sold most (so on free ride there) ...here I am even only..and puzzled...the 290 to 470 discount looks way too high...unless something bad is in the offing ...The share capital is divided between voting and non-voting...worth going to website and downloading/reading some of the docs incl the Articles of Association...I wonder how many LSE ers ever do that (standard procedure for private equity lol)
the voting shares
...but getting concerned by the widening discount...cannot figure it out...& that is often a bad sign (me wrong/Mr M right lol) ...the Dewhursts tick so many boxes for me...not quite as good as rgs (markets poorer here) and Mr P over at rgs has played a blinder imv..but then again rgs has gone up more than 4 fold in past year or so and now trades close to fair value imv ...all-in-all I still fancy (Platonically) this family management team's steady history of managing profitable growth; the aligned interests (us and them); and the low multiples (rev and ebit)... ...for me it's limited risk and decent rewards...wot I need given I rely on "unearned" returns ...all amateur opinion only
foundation docs (incl Articles) ..and if in any doubt obtain whatever legal, financial and any other appropriate advice before investing here imv ...I luv the Dewhursts and reckon this discount is bizarre.. ...but may have missed something glaringly obvious lol All amateur opinion only
Subject to the provisions of the Statutes, any proposed variation or abrogation of the rights attached to the A Ordinary Shares, whether or not the Company is being wound up, which would result in such rights not ranking pari passu with the rights attaching to the Ordinary Shares (save in respect of voting) shall only be effective if made with the consent in writing of the holders of not less than three-quarters in nominal value of the issued A Ordinary Shares or with the sanction of a special resolution passed at a separate general meeting of the holders of the A Ordinary Shares (but not otherwise) and for this purpose alone the holders of the A Ordinary Shares shall have the right to vote at such separate general meeting.
I look forward to the interims myself but meanwhile I'll top up as and when.
well this is my fav share (so no balance from me).. ..Jolly intrigued how market will digest interims...
Topping up in small chunks using profits creamed off other investments. Expecting a little bit of a bounce in the not to distant future. Oversold and off people's radars at the moment IMHO. DYOR and GLA
that small buy... .....I am waiting to see just how far this might fall... I luv the Dewhursts,,,,others might not...so a Jolly lt buying opp may arise...simplesz
Has been over £5m in great year (last year) Recently £4-4.5m Will be poor this year: <£4m? ...but what's steady state op profitability - any ideas? Any DWHA share under £3 (EV £30m or less imv) looks cheap to me though All opinion only!! DYOR
