But of course having our 100k seller around means buyers can still get in very cheap.
Caravanboy, unfortunately we do have a 100k seller with us at the moment, guess that's an ex warrant holder selling down, hopefully market will absorb them but they are an anchor on the share price for now.
Obviously not slot of stock out there.
Now that is what I call potentially transformational news. Gerry I imagine news channels might want to get you on air to discuss this?
Brilliant update. You don't expand facilities if you have no use for them.
The initial demand for the microtox devices is pandemic related. But the application of said devices to a varriety of other areas, including drinking water etc is massive. The pandemic will put us on the map (if we aren't already), but the post pandemic world will see continued growth as governments learn that pathogen AND polution surveilance systems are needed.
The water conservation/scarcity tweets that GB has been posting is a great application of PD. It allows us to know if what limited water we have is safe. Then there is polution in rivers, reservoirs, oceans. The potential of PD is massive. And that is just one device, which is only one of the many irons in the DVRG fire! £55m mcap? Surely not for long... no reason why this potential should not be three digits (of millions)
What a fantastic update. Gla
Music to my ears it’s about time. These sensors will be like rats everywhere. Well done GB and team.
60 new hires at I guess £60k a person £3.6million in salary, probably more! It’s going to take an awful lot of sales to cover that cost. I’m joining the dots now and getting a much better feel for how this waste water business is going to look.
The share price looks incredibly cheap, a mighty elephant is sitting in the share certificates and will get off them soon.
Well done DVRG on another great update.
Joining the dots can you see what it is yet?
Good luck everyone.
Jimbren,
I would think this is all part of due diligence, demonstrating DVRG have an infrastructure that can cope with demand, I seem to remember that the EU directive on waste water monitoring needed to be in place buy October 21. The new facility online in Q3 that seems a very quick and expensive deadline in my opinion it’s all linked, so not too distant future for me is before the end of Q2
Look at the size of the opportunity! Hopefully PD can be a gateway into military for BT...
"The Microtox© PD platform, using AI and data analytics, is relevant for governments, cities, local authorities, industries, military, corporates, transport companies, etc. urgently seeking real-time identification of local COVID-19 hotspots with the potential to predict contagion spread and the risk of fresh outbreaks"
Fantastic to get a bit of detail.
Not getting over excited at role DVRG with PD are going to play in Europe as we've been told they will play a key role over and over... Just need to be patient.
Some press today for Gerry or more news first?
"Over the last 9 months, Microtox© PD units have achieved the ability to detect SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater.
..... In addition to SARS-CoV-2, Microtox© PD units have positively detected and identified E.coli bacteria in drinking water with 99.3% accuracy in 3.37 seconds. Current standard test results after sampling typically return in 2-5 days."
E. Coli is bacterial and so viral SARS-Cov-2 is a different ball game, but they are doing it and it is incredible. If they can achieve the same standard with SARS-Cov-2 then it's incredibly important. Clearly the investment is going in.
“In the not too distant future...”. How is that measured, time-wise? When the broker paid in shares for services rendered has finished selling?
This is the type of news we want to hear. Very, very exciting times ahead.
This isn't subtle......!
"in order to meet immediate and local demand for infrastructural installations of real time SARS-CoV-2 detection in Ireland and across Europe in wastewater."
it's a smack, in ya face nod that we will be installing PD in Ireland and across Europe......:)
All the best (IMO........ :()
This is incredibly exciting news, whatever happens to the share price today, there is clearly some major announcements in the not too distant future it really could not be clearer.
I always try and keep my expectations realistic, but this news is the clearest indication of government contracts IMHO.
So, who'll pay for that?

DeepVerge PLC
("DeepVerge" or "the Company")
New AI centre of excellence in Cork, Ireland to play key role in real-time detection of SARS-CoV-2 in Ireland and across Europe
Irish headcount, based on growing demand, expected to triple in 2021 adding up to 60 new hires for roles in data science, physics and epidemiology
DeepVerge (LSE:DVRG.L), announces the expansion of the data and technology division, Rinocloud, into Moorepark Technology Centre ("MTC") in Fermoy, Cork, Ireland. The facility, expected to be ready in Q3, includes laboratory and engineering production units that will establish a European centre of excellence for real-time detection of multiple dangerous pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2, in water and wastewater systems.
The Artificial Intelligence MTC will also facilitate research, development and assembly of Rinocloud's' patent pending optofluidic rigs in order to meet immediate and local demand for infrastructural installations of real time SARS-CoV-2 detection in Ireland and across Europe in wastewater. High-skilled roles include epidemiologists, physicists and data scientists.
Gerry Brandon, DeepVerge CEO commented:
"For 5 years, Rinocloud has been a driving innovator in real-time detection of dangerous pathogens such as E.Coli, in drinking water through its' RAWTest[i] program, partly funded by the Environmental Protection Agency in Ireland. Following on from the recent MoU signed with China Resources[ii] and the York, UK laboratories, this EU facility expands DeepVerge's capability to design, produce and assemble instruments on two continents, playing a key role in Ireland, UK and Europe, detecting and monitoring current and future outbreaks of COVID-19"
Water-based epidemiology is not new and will not end with this pandemic[iii]. Examining wastewater for evidence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is an internationally recognised tool used by many governments to assess the rate of infection across populations in the community. Such programs act as "Early Warning Systems" detecting community spread, including symptomatic and asymptomatic COVID-19 subjects.
In March the European Union Commission published recommendations on the systematic surveillance of COVID and in wastewater[iv] and on Friday (April 30th 2021) the Irish government announced their plan to follow this recommendation[v] and begin testing wastewater to detect SARS-CoV-2 levels in the community.
RAWTest data solutions adapted to Modern Water wastewater units
The Rinocloud AI based data solutions have been adapted and installed into DeepVerge's environmental division Microtox© and Microtrace© units[vi]. These units were originally designed to detect, but not identify in real-time, up to 2,700 contaminants in water. The units now include the ability to immediately identify SARS-CoV-2 contaminants in wastewater. The Microtox Pathogen Detection ("Microtox© PD")[vii] systems
