Finally! Up 1.3%. I was beginningto wonder if the market had forgotten the fantasic trading update and special dividend announcement!
Pretty surprised the sp has not moved up............ yet.
Once presumes the market will want some of this special dividend??
Pretty surprised the sp has not moved up............ yet.
Once presumes the market will want come of this special dividend??
I agree but retail stocks have head winds , not just Dunelm . This will pass and Dunelm will re rate for award
is the sp was over 1500p in September 2021 when things were no where near as good as they are now from what I can see. Logicallyt the sp will go higher than 1500p in th next few weeks.
All IMHO.
Solid company extremely well run . Special divi and normal divi will push this higher near term . Nice to see broker updates positive .
UBS raises Dunelm Group price target to 1,761 (1,750) pence - 'buy'
The dividend and special dividend will push the sp higher IMHO. Company doing very well of course as we know from yesterdays update. Actually slightly down at the moment overall with these.
All IMHO.
And if you can't work that one out put your money in a bank and leave it there.
Told 'Ya!
Very surprised at the SP reaction on a positive market day . The market spooked by rising costs and inflation . Still record results and over 50 p divi in the next 4 weeks
Bought another £9k - was expecting significant gain here - when will that happen?
Boom boom . Better than I could have ever hoped . First line says it all “ record performance and moving forward as the 1st choice for home”
Divi up and special divi declared . Fantastic well done Dunelm
Volcano what’s your thought on the results ??? At these levels I think the risk reward is firmly in our favour .
Half Year Results
Wednesday 9 February
Never thought this would be 1240 the day before results . Retail getting squeezed but below 13 is bonkers. I agree a increase in divi is very likely and as long as the guidance remains unchanged from Jan update we will be fine.
No reason for this to be under £13 IMO, expecting dividend rise tomorrow should see a 25% increase too 15p IMO. If we don’t maybe we’ll end up with another special divi later in the year.
Any signs of a slow down due to inflation and this will be pegged down . In my opinion this has already been priced in hence the sub 13 price. On the other hand this is a cracking company with great prospects. Sub 13 this is worth a punt. Let’s go Dunelm
.
for 15 minutes at the tills. They have 8 bays but only 5 were manned. A bit annoying but suffice to say they were extremely busy. Bought a lamp shade. I noticed M&S were very busy in their Homewear part yesterday.
Very busy. Ended up buying a stand lamp!
which is surprising. The 2nd quarter trading update on 12th January was upbeat and good, but amazingly the sp slipped slowly down but has recovered a fair bit now.
Hope this is another SQZ, who's update on 20th Jan seemed great only for them to slip down. But last week (Was it Wednesday?) SQZ suddenly rocketed up 10% in the one day. Maybe the bigger players took more time to digest the update. I'm hoping Dunelm will do the same. I see no reason why not. With no masks needed in shops now here in the uk one would have thought all high street shops will be getting a boost from more customers!
All IMHO.
over the pond. Nas was down over 3%........
Bodes well for tomorrow.
Omicron fading, face maks not needed after wednesday I think in England, Omicron might be the last covid that causes major problems. That is ****MAJOR GOOD NEWS****.
All IMHO.
UK to go into shops etc... as of Today and the sp is down 2.5%.
Crazy or what?
Al IMHO.
it showed Dunelm were doing extremely well before xmass. Of course we have since heard Omicron kept shoppers away directly after xmass and I presume up until about a week ago. That was when studies started being published to say Omicron seems less severe that Delta, that if you have had 2 jabs and the booster you are well protected, and that the incredible spike up in cases seems to be matched by a similar spike down. Of course anyone not vaccinated was/is in danger but there is no telling some people. Interesting Countries like USA I presume now know the likely path of Omicron there.
Dunhelm are obviously in a very good position to capitalise on the shoppers return. Indeed their web site is extrelely good too.
All IMHO.
