reckon this is almost at the value of selene drill alone i.e. penascola already written off. if anything is going to happen it will be in a few weeks. i wasn't aware of the may deadline for the deal to pass so i'm thinking they had their potential f/o partner(s) fall over and recognised the need to tell the market before it became a nasty surprise for everyone. it's either that or they've lined up major shareholders (or potential shareholders) for an investment, but have been told it needs to be at xxp. or, the whole thing has gone to **** and they're about to hand over a very large discovery to shell for nothing. that's the worst case scenario and i'd say when the sp hits 15p it's well and truly priced in. aimho gla
Anybody know who are the market makers trading DELT?
Him out (GS). Seriously what do these non exec directors do ? If it was insider trading, i bet it was them. Laughable
SullysWorld, thats a good explanation, i never thought of that angle, and it would explain the rns, as Malcy was saying its far from a deal not done, and if a deal is completed this would be a good explanation, i also can't see Shell actively doing over a working partner.i know they can be ruthless in buisiness , but they also have a reputation to withhold, and if Deltic are successful in the next round of awards surely they will be working together again especially if its an extension of Pensacola feild. This just might be an opportunity to get in at a price i never thought we would see again.
I read a little it seemed to imply it was to do with the information being indicative of 'Insider Trading' and it had to be released. It should bounce back especially if the drill goes well with Shell.
Well and truly rinsed!!! (If you sell in panic).
Just my take.
What was the point of yesterdays RNS ? their has to be something behind it, because wouldn't they just wait till the end of May and then tell the market they cant do a deal with the then resultant share price crash, also surly there was always a foreseeable chance this might happen and have a default deal with Shell say during the farmout agreement where by Deltic get back the money already invested in the first drill or pospone the drill, surely Swindells would have had the hindsight for this scenario ! that's what makes me think it's game play, but for myself i just don't get it. If he hasn't taken all this into account then he has to go. Malcy still thinks with out Pensecola it's worth 100p with success at Selene, ive topped up at 17.9p this morning, but hopefully just a quick in and out with this deal. Still holding original holding for the first drill this will bounce, just hope Swindells pulls the rabbit out of the hat.
People are starting to panic on this board. This was always a super high risk investment. Anyway, if you look at the recent STIFEL research report, they have a share price valuation of 125p. Selene represents 69p of that valuation whilst Pensacola is only 42p. Stifel have not yet reduced their Pensacola valuation given deal falling through is still not 100%. Similarly, Cannacord have a 110p valuation. They have Selene at 89p & Pensacola at 8p (they have reduced this from 65p). Anyway the point I am making is that Selene still makes up the majority of the share's valuation. (both above reports mentioned were released post the recent RNS)
Getting to be almost worthless. Swindles a Swindler. Someone winning here but its not us.
Agree if the market was that bad how did they get a deal for Selene, they have been caught napping ... concentrating on Selene putting pensacola on the back burner.
Can't see any game plan behind yesterdays RNS other than any deal on the table being that bad they have said " we would rather give it away than agree to that" but even that I don't think is plausable. Useless utter useless ........
DP you do have a certain regard for Swindells, however I think he is light-weight especially when dealing with Shell, who can just wait until Pensacola falls into their lap. I hope I am wrong. The major shareholders cannot be happy unless they have information not shared with ordinary PI's
TIMMMMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr
Swindells neds to go, any other CEO would have been removed for incompetence. He cant blame it all on the market etc. Gets paid bundles as they all do, jobs for the boys and girls.
Thanks.have a great day
Shell doing a dirty on Pensacola and being a close knit partner on Selene, at the same time, somehow sounds not right.
You could question why the RNS was issued yesterday? It's not helpful if you are negotiating, basically undermining yourself, so what's the story? I'm still not sure, but nevertheless hopeful a way will be found.
Options:
- (Ill informed) attempt to spoof (takes a lot more, no one will fall for this.
- People buying a handful of shares on platforms with no trading costs.
- MM showing liquidity, setting the tone for the day.
It kind of means nothing in my view.
People trying to push the share price up ?
Courage Mon Braves Bear in mind with the potential of $200 million the board are in a reasonable position to make something happen Shell of course will just sit there and let things fall into their lap. Hope its not the Chinese yet again gaining strangle hold on a UK business!
Can someone please explain what the small trades are about and all about the same time?
I have already said that.
Oversold in my opinion.
Still feeling a bit sick from today. Took a £100k total loss in the space of 30 mins this morning. Total loss about £80k from original investment. Absolutely gutted.
I won't be surprised at all if they magically find the money from investors with deep pockets in the next few weeks. They'll let the sp sit here for a while so PIs think it was the best possible outcome and not revolt when the share count more than doubles. Make no mistake this would be the best possible outcome as well. The alternative would be losing Penascola for nothing, and taking at least another 5p off the sp. If this goes down as I think it might then expect a late rns with a primarybid 'offer' for those PIs with cash at the ready. As crazy as this sounds, if it happens then I'll drop some money back in here. Otherwise I'm well and truly out. GLA
Already assumed/priced in, in my view...
What will happy to share price, if DELT unable to find partner by end of May and have to hand over the license to shell for nothing.
Another IOG is happening…
I feel rather a big tree shake that may be a great opportunity for a buy.
Just a tree shake imho
