Most often it is from Asset / Fund Managers; lending stock, particularly in highly illiquid stocks can be quite profitable. It can be used by a Fund Manager to increase (marginally) their Fund performance.
Moreover CFD brokers and spread betting Co's can run large long or short positions since they only have to hedge their "net" position in the market.....
Seems like the bots have finally been let go
I have my sell limit order at £10, I do it with all my holdings so no "borrowing" ta. Easily done and if more holders did it on all their holdings shorts would rapidly be a thing of the past. Unfortunately after banging on for years for other pi's to do this very few do.
Sunnyca
I’ll do it right now.
I did not know
Thanks
Robins
You are not alone. I was in same position.
I personally do not fully understand the TR1’s implications even though I have read these posts.
Anyone who has the patience to explain ..would be appreciated. I took it as S.Ocean and Nemean ( Steven Oliveira) selling about 1% but we have 3 days more selling to add to that. Am I right?
And he could keep selling.
Now this has nothing to do with the company per se or its products or research. Just the share price.
I -like Robins-was unable to buy like some of you. Good 4 u.
If he is offloading then who is buying ?
(P.s.I would appreciate not being shot down by someone who does not appreciate another’s questionning or getting things wrong. Happens so often)
Just ignore post if no one can or wants to answer.
Oliveira is the same as Nemean and South Ocean. I do think we will see more TR1s from him for other days as today's references transactions from the 13th and before.
I think he is done selling for now hence the TR1. Today's big sells were all early on and then they stopped. Then there were quite a few fairly decent buys of 20-30k through the day, which there haven't been the other days presumably because their brokers knew there were more Oliveira sells to come.
A caveat is that Oliveira could have been prompted by 4D or regulator to issue TR1 against his wishes but I don't think so.
Oliveira has lost a massive amount of money from Forte, which has crashed from $40 to $3.50 and the company is likely to file for bankruptcy as its only product failed.
Also this is no an original thought but worth restating 4D can see readouts from the ongoing 0518 trial because it is open label and not double blinded.
Would they really be doing all this stuff at ESMO if they could see bad readouts?
Thank u my friend. Helps me understand more which I always try to. Especislly as have been taken for rides before through ignorance.
Re. TR1 the regulator is abysmally slow. I once had to issue 5 TR1’s ( 2017) for a small AIM oilie. ( Trinity). The regulator rang me at home 5 months after the going over …3% ( I can’t remember the exact AIM % now) . I remember being shocked at how long until they asked. I didn’t know what a TR1 was!
4D may infeed have prompted him. Or maybe he just gets the ball rolling finally himself.
I have been in 4D a while now but do not profess to fully understand the bio-science of the products. I rather focus on the complaints they are treating.
Well underwater at 98p and would have liked to buy at 70 but no buffer. All in Ncyt darnit. And Trin..a sound solid investment which I originally bought at £1:50 then at 1.5p on the edge of liquidisation which is the only way I have anything at all. Stands at equivalent of 15.4p now( 154 after consolidation) If not for crazily faithful decision to buy at 1.5p on the precipice I would gave zilch as lost it gung ho in POG and RBS. Old hat now but a warning to high risk investors. Rosk lost me it. Risk got me some back. I find the roller coaster of (some peoples’) lives an education. Least of all my own poor ( and good) decisions.
4D is fascinating . To me it is the market games I learn. The stealth is astounding.
Time for me to shut up.
Thanks a lot for explaining.
You are an asset to this chatboard.
You have been in 4D a long time..25p to £1:50 Me? £1:30 down to 80p.
Hoping ypu do well.
And myself of course.
How amaxing would it not becto make money out of a company ehich provides potential treatment and/or currs.
