Good morning Vas and all,
Thank you for the Vas, that is a very interesting connection to CyanConnode. So we will have to see if CyanConnode progress from here, in connection to the West Bengal projects.
I believe that the project that you posted on West Bengal recently, is the second to be Awarded in the State. The previous one was for circa 1 million smart meters during February/March 2024, possibly involving the same Companies.
But thank you for the original info, Vas.
LTI.
Q 1......How long does it take to organise a Q&A?
Hi LT
GVPR Engineers is interesting as they presently have an employee called Sudipto Mitra who has been the Vice President - Head of Smart Metering at GVPR Engineers Ltd for over a year.
Previous to this he was employed by Cyan as Vice President Projects and rather interestingly while employed by GVPR he reposted a link to the Cyan recruitment page !

Good morning Vas, bskiny1 and all,
Thank you for the information on Polaris Vas. It was appreciated.
Some more information on the West Bengal project specifically, is contained in the NSGM report from March 2024 onwards, where the report confirms that Iskraemeco India, Polaris Smart Metering, GVPR Engineers and Apraava Energy, all seem to have an involvement in the multiple, West Bengal projects.
The NSGM report started to high-light AMISP's/SI in their reports during February 2024. But as you have indicated Vas, it is now down to patience, on our part.
Good Luck.
LTI.
Hi Bskiny1, No obvious connection....I guess we will have to wait to see who they sub contract too, if anyone.
Its the first AMISP award I have found in ages.
Hi Vas, any possible links to us...B

Good morning Vas and all,
I would think it would be very difficult Vas, to base a projection for future installations and revenue, on a four day installation figure at the beginning of the month of May. There will hopefully, be other installations during the month of May, that may alter your projections. But even then, I do not believe the installations are as uniform and predictable as that.
And as you have previously pointed out, there may be unforseen circumstances that may come into play.
But I am still confident with the way the India Smart Meter Programme has developed over the last couple of years and CyanConnode's part in that development. Coupled with the global penetration and recognition that CyanConnode as a Group, are having.
Good Luck Vas and all.

The reason this needs confirming at the Q&A. The Gross Margin drop to 36% led to Operating Loss over 3 TIMES higher than 2022. This is the reason you can buy in at under 9p. Currently, the higher the YE revenue, the higher the YE loss. That Gross margin % figure simply doesn't work with JC's business model, simples.
It's half where it was, and falling fast. I won't waste my time looking for the next trapdoor. I've no questions that this board will allow past filter . Check the largest % revenue through YE 2023, India are pathetic on the scale and I fear that is their ongoing game.
Dated April 24

Colour, that's a good question, put it in the pot as your contribution. This percentage is important to all of us.
Yes Vas, looks a bit fanciful at present but I can see the progressive States will want Smart up and running to compete with others. Hopefully JC will give a report on Indore and Mysore, both very successful. I would like to know if we made further inroads in Bihar. With India always dragging it out I see this year and further two years as possibly the peak of CC's SP and maybe a takeout at that point by a consortium of India meter manufacturers. DYOR
Hi Tony, even to me my numbers look very fanciful and i find them difficult to believe but if Cyan just keep a respectful win rate of say 20% or 25 % throughout this process , then nothing else will really matter , delays, hold ups , elections, missing installation targets ...nothing will matter as Cyans Install rate and revenues build.
Just ONE question for the joke Q&A tonyj.
Is the 2023/24 Gross margin going to be stated above or below 36%. They won't answer it, they wouldn't dare even entertain it being asked.
Forget the JC nonsense on the £ per million unit revenue, that is long, long gone.
Sorry out typing myself.
£288,000,000 per year, that looks better, especially all those noughts.
Hi Vas, now those numbers would be interesting, you are not trying to outgun me are you, what do you think Colour. So 100,000 X 20 = 2,000,000 X £12m per million revenue = £24m per month and £288 per year. SP would hit the roof. Trouble there is that is logical and will probably go that way with SP £3+. Whether we still have the company is a question mark, hope so. DYOR
Hi LT and Tony.
Thanks for the NSGM update
"The installations so far this month stand at 4,24,010 ( 424,010 ) smart meters and the overall number of smart meters installed now standing at 1,08,40,249 ( 10,840,249 )."
As we know ALL ordered / deployed smart meters , also become installed meters and in April Zeus released end of Year 24 note stating Cyan had so far a 25% share in meters so far ordered in India.
So , in theory going by todays numbers this would give Cyan an average of approx. 100,000 smart meters installed per month (out of total this month of 424,010 ) with associated up front revenues. With over 250 million meters required , even if we took just 150 million meters installed before target date this gives approx. 37 million smart meters to Cyan, and with a gross monthly install rate of around 8 million, of which 25% which is 2 million units a month could go to Cyan so to hit the Dec 25 deadline.
So at some stage their needs to be at least a 20 x ramp up on meters ordered and deployed for installation. GL Vas
Hello Vas, yes I agree, all subs are at a critical stage in the India Rollout. Once the massive ship has been launched, the fitting out starts with all hands on deck. If they are going to start all over India nearly simultaneously a massive number of orders will have to be issued even if only in 0.5m - 1.0m sizes, most Utilities will want their Province started first, if only to get any grants on offer. A little more holding of breath is required up to their elections. JC gave an enthusiastic update and said Q&A video to follow shortly, that should be about now and will provide the bridge between now and the start of June. DYOR. In the circumstances I do not think things could get much better in anticipation (sentiment) than this.
Good afternoon all,
The number of Sanctioned smart meters remains the same, although there are some substantial projects still waiting to be Awarded.
The main winner to be Awarded so far this month, is Tripura, with 4,15,647 ( 415,647 ) Awarded. The installations so far this month stand at 4,24,010 ( 424,010 ) smart meters and the overall number of smart meters installed now standing at 1,08,40,249 ( 10,840,249 ).
Good Luck all.

Good morning Vas, gizmo all.
Thank you both for your information.
In answer to your question, Vas, I do not know that CyanConnode have any branding as such, on the outside of meter manufacturers meters, to high-light that CyanConnode are involved with any individual project. Or even if CyanConnode or any other RF/Solutions Provider would be allowed to display any branding on the outside of a meter?
Just a thought.
LTI.
Thanks Gizzmo , and have a great weekend yourself.

There is an advert with three smart meters on it entitled "Energising Lives with Smart Meter Solutions".
If you look at the picture on the far left. Copy picture, put it in a word document and zoom in you will see that this meter states on it #
GENUS
InteLilog
LORAWAN RF
" Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd, India"
I do realise that the Cyan contract with Genus was for Omnimesh RF but Omnimesh Supports the management of LORA, can't it? Does anyone here know if there is enough information here to ascertain whether this is a Cyan meter or another company. The advert is only 3 months old ! Cheers Vas
