..today ends with the words" We are continuing to progress the Seychelles and Monaco disposals but at this time there is no further update." I had thoiught it was a done deal. Does this mean it could fall by the wayside thus upsetting financial predictions?r
Can anyone explain the two recent RNS announcements regarding blackrock's holding for me. It seems that they may have off loaded 40 million + shares. Is that the case and if so why, I wonder, and how do you sell so many without it being reflected in the sp? .
It is obvious from the annual report that the next 12 months or so will involve much upheaval for the company in establishing its new operations base in Florida. Until then we won't see the projected bottom line savings and revenues aren't lkely to shoot up in the short term. I don't think we will therefore see much movement in the SP until this time next year when I suspect CWC we have become more of an aquisition target for one of the large central or north amercian operators.
I agree with you. We have seen quite a few ups and downs of late and it would be good if sp could get up to 50 or even 45 but the Market is getting redder by the day which does not help. Sit tight and hope I guess
unfortunately not so stable now though. Thought we had formed a support at 45 & were heading back up to 50, maybe later on perhaps...
Per CWC website it's 2.67 US cents ie 1.77 GB pence per share . Good to see that share price is fairly stable despite ex div and the general market weakness.
I reckon it will be about 1.8p/share.Stach.
Do we know what the divi is yet.
Hi and thank you for your explanation. However, why some Companies do not stipulate the second date, ie soon after ex-divi date? Regards. Stach.
The reference to the dividend being paid to those shareholders appearing on the company register as at the 31st May means that the Registrar has chosen that date as the cut of point for making alterations to the shareholders register and will then proceed to pay the dividend to those shareholders appearing on the register at that date. This cut off date will always be a date after the xdiv date. However many of the dividend payments made to ex-Holders who sold their shares prior to the xdiv date are not entitled to the dividend and so will have to pay that dividend to their broker who carried out the sale before the xdiv date. The selling broker will then have to claim the dividend from their client in order to pay it over to the buying broker who in turn will pay it to the buyer who bought the shares before the xdiv date. The "on the register date" is purely a date of convenience for the Registrar. I do hope that I have explained the situation adequately.
Be careful as ex-divi date is the 29th of May but it will be only paid to shareholders remaining on the Register at 31st of May.So dont sell to soon.Stach.
The Evil Empires that exist to make profits for their shareholders without regard to Moral Obligations should heed the words of Humpty Dumpty, 'When I use the word "tax" it means just what I choose it to mean - nether more nor less'. Wait! wait!! Where are you all going?
Guys there's an icon above that says CWC Financial Diary. Click on it and it will confirm 29TH and other useful information
Kenny boy thanks. I thought the date next last week but it hadn't been announced yesterday. Even my financial advisor couldn't find it but 29th may sounds about right. Dipped in and bought a few today.
The xdividend date is 29th May. Suggest you use www.dividendinvestor.co.uk for all dividend information re all quoted stocks and shares -- a very useful site.
Kenny 8888. I've done some more research ex dividend date has not been announced yet going by the past it should be around next next. Thanks though.
Sorry I misread your post. I gave the payment date. I don't know the ex div date.
Going by previous years on or around 8th August 2013. Div should b US$0.0267 per share so for example if you had 21000 shares that would US$560.70 which is currently about £350.
Can anyone tell me when the next ex dividend date is please . Thanks
Good set of full year results today. Hard to compare with previous due to big restructuring but revenues and margins in ongoing business ok with big growth potential. Debt down and free cash available for organic and acquisition growth. Dividend held at 4cents which gives around a 7% return. Well worth keeping IMHO.
Looks like competent management with a long term strategy. Can see this kicking on to 50+ if the market continues to be strong
by big mucka Vodafone has to be good for this future sp.
The sp increase suggests to me that next week's results are going to be good.
