Cawcaw that’s perfect thank you so much for your explanation on that
The XOP price in Canada is currently approximately equal to COPL in London. (.29 GBX = .005CAD.)
Your question should be "why didn't it drop in Canada, back when it was priced much lower in London".
The answer is simple: CSE equities are not allowed to trade below half a penny Canadian.
So the whole time it was trading for a few hundredths of a penny in London, it was simply not trading at all in Canada.
Now London has caught back *up* to the Canadian floor price, and there are transactions again in Canada.
The next hurdle in Canada will be further rises, since the next price Canadians are allowed to pay is 1 penny, which will be a 100% price jump.
Hopefully the news that's coming will make the old days of half a penny or a penny look quaint and comical. Knock on wood.
Yeah I remember that year. Maybe if we want to find out what is going on with OPL226, we will have better luck asking Riverfort...or Essar...or just straight up calling Nigeria.
In 2018/2019, the forecasts I received from my Tarot reader were quite a bit more accurate than the official forecasts from Art and COPL.
A question I have just looked at Canadian listing XOP and hasn’t risen like we have? It’s been pretty constant, Can anyone explain the Listing there compared with here? I really hope news comes in this week!
I've no doubt that there's absolutely no confusion whatsoever between the partners as to when the 35 days is up. You don't sit down at a table and have an agreement that stipulates 35 days without everyone saying what that means in terms of an end date. For me it's more likely than not that Art has chosen to use '35 days' rather than give the agreed date. Now if that is the case I don't blame him (although it could be he is simply hoping we can all count).
He has consistently ended up crying wolf even if that wasn't his intention nor his fault(?). Why would he not give out an actual date? Once bitten and all that. He did go incommunicado for nigh on a year because he was being constantly criticised for not meeting targets, his view if I remember correctly.
If things take a couple of weeks longer than the 10th he can still, for once, say he has met his timescale.
Still expect it this week though.
"within 35 days"
Agreed time up Friday. The legal meaning of "days" is quite clear - but probably will not include the day on which the agreement was signed.
The agreement itself however is probably quite specific as to the time by which the conditions need to be met - so there will be news this week, one way or the other.
The 16M sells at 16.20 almost balance the later 19M buy.
Interesting times.
This 35days must have been agreed with all the parties involved....
Time up Friday!
The settlement is conditional on the parties finalizing definitive documentation and completing the transactions, (including securing extension of the PSC) within 35 days.
Please Mr CEO
Let this happen this week!

Arthur Millholland, President and CEO, commented:
"This is a great outcome for the Company in these uncertain times. We look forward to the future working relationship with Essar to unlock the potential of OPL 226."
I am totally convinced the Essar deal as laid out in the rns of June 4th will complete and get signed off .However, like most I initially assumed that it was a straight 35 days but I hope peeps won’t go into meltdown if it transpires that it is in fact 35 working days which still means it will complete this month. We’ll soon find out.I personally wouldn’t be surprised either way as CEO’s often think in working weeks.
