Also don't forget VAT is added as well so the £300,000 example has a fee of 0.22%.
Although I agree with you, 1% initial outlay is still a small price to pay to be part of a Class action where there is a high probability of getting the other 99% back.
Logic would say to me you are looking to recoup your investment, i.e. what you have spent to get to hold the shares you do today, (or did in the case of those that have sold). In that respect your investment is capital and charges.
When you look at the case you have to say to yourself, if I had not been lied to then I might not have invested thus in my mind investment is everything that went into the cost of buying your shares, the costs are specific to your transactions in copl (i.e. they would not have been incurred were it not for buying shares in COPL) thus should be taken into account when working out your investment. RBM can clarify logic would tell me, I cannot see how they are not part of the equation.
Stas, and Bullorbears
Nobody (least of all me) is complaining about paying a fee. Nor is anybody suggesting CAG member should pay more than others. They have done a great job compiling evidence and bringing it to this stage!!!
I have been strongly promoting uptake on here and other forums (TG), and fully support this action, and for what it is worth will be signing up and paying my fee.
It is the banding that irks me slightly.
The lower band fees roughly equate to about 1% of your investment, but after £35k this reduces.
So for instance, somebody who has invested £300,000 has a fee of 0.18%
For peeps who have invested say £2,000,000 then their fee percentage is 0.03%
This is the point that myself and Wwal have highlighted.
It appears that those with higher investment pots pay less.
Is that fair and reasonable?
again sorry i'm probaly being a bit stupid, what i am saying is i have spent 35k, but with my charges from hargreeves it brings me to the next band, i know were only talking an extra £100 but i aint got a pot to **** in at the moment.
having said that i will be joining
The form
Sorry boldly, print what ?
You will need to print because it requires a signature, then scan.
RBM and crew thank you very much for everything you have done, just having a bit of hope is something to cherish.
Can i just ask when submitting shares on the form to MC do you put total cost including charges from broker ? ie i have over 50 transactions @ £11.95 charge from Hargreeves.
Thanks again guys
Yes I have received the email. The banding seems very fair I’m more than happy with that. Shows there must be high interest.
There is 2 form on the email. The first one allows to add txt to the form. The second one does not. Will that need printed off, filled in and emailed as a PDF? Can anyone shed some light on that please?
Many thanks
Just received my proforma and zoom link.

Let me add my sentiments - I am in full agreement with Stas and BullorBears without CAG I/we would have nothing. The hours they have put in on my/our behalf is incredible. Those who might moan about any payments need to think where would we be without them? I want revenge on these bar stewards.
We have a chance so let's work together and support those working on OUR behalf.
Hello,
Very interesting to see what is potentially happening here and I for one would love to see retribution for the blatant corruption. Someone mentioned a recording of the meeting held yesterday, would anyone be good enough to reply to this letting everyone know where we can view this? As well I see a number of people wanting to participate and help fund the cause but don’t know where, how or how much to pay, would someone also be good enough to provide this information.
Many thanks to everyone who have taken this challenge on, it is commendable to say the least 🙏.
Maybe some people are struggling too pay the £500 like myself I was all in here and after loosing so much but I know it’s the only chance of getting my money back so will have to find it
I've send my details to the email address for the class action. Should I get a reply or not. I have had nothing including looking in junk. Any advice? Thanks in advance
Not been following this for a while now, how do I contribute please?
100% agree
All we have done is send off some emails to FCA and a handful of oil companies.
The work undertaken to date from CAG, MC, Stas and others, on our behalf , is extraordinary and my wife and I are more than happy to pay a relatively small fee to participate
I believe they ( all the lying individuals and their affiliates ) will want to settle, as not doing so would surely see them officially guilty and will open the flood gates to others who seek retribution with our case to refer to as reference. But then wtfdik - I aint no lawer guv !! - Good luck all - I've thrown the kitchen sink at this, so another rubber washer wont make any difference ! - I'm In !!
BullorBears, hear hear.
I for one think the CAG and all involved have done a remarkable job, unbelievable amount of work, all voluntary to support ALL shareholders. Perhaps those that think to shout about any unfairness involved in the banding, or way that this case will be financed would be happier if the CAG placed an invoice for the collective hundreds, if not thousands of hours of combined work already put into this process, without thought of any remuneration other than to seek justice and compensation for all.
To be honest, I'm sure that RBM et al would not say it, but I will, it appalls me that anyone could think to complain about the finances involved here when so many have conducted so much work on your behalf and without them, your current chance of a return is zero!
I just think it disingenuous to say these so called HNW and CAG members should be paying more. These so called people started the process, have already paid towards legal fees and are continuing to pay towards legal fees.
If this group or people did not decide to fight for ALL shareholders then you would all be sat here shouting empty threats. You have an opportunity to put in a minimal amount of money and potentially see some returns.
These type of groups are few are far between, be grateful to the opportunity others have provided for you.
Same here sadly missed it so will wait eagerly for the recording, going on what everyone is saying, you all sound very confident indeed so definitely pay what is needed.
Thanks again to all those involved the realisation of getting our money back it's hitting home
