Where does it say new? Also, and more to the point, wouldn't they say a largish town in Hampshire if it was Basingstoke - a nice enough place but not especially famous for it's coastline nor a major city. The South Coast is a specific area - it encompasses the southern coastal area of the UK stretching from South Kent to Cornwall. So a major city on the south coast can only possibly be one of a few places.
I live 5 minutes from bluewater shopping centre it is near dartford and going to be near the new paramount theme park being built
May or may not be this in Hampshire. http://www.connectib.com/work/festival-place/
Bluewater is not on the south coast - I should know I've been dragged there enough times. It's about 60 miles from the south coast. The only decent sized city, well enough to possibly be called major, is the Southampton/Portsmouth urbanised area so maybe here. http://www.west-quay.co.uk
Bluewater of course being a major city on the south coast - in fact is there a major city on the south coast?
"A sell...?" I guess nope. Directors always seem to get them cheaper.
Nope, AGM is on June 27th.
A sell...?
Sadly under the old regime we saw many acquisitions that cost huge amounts to integrate but failed to deliver any tangible benefits. It is imperative following an acquisition to demonstrate how it fits in with the core business of the company and how it can lead to new contracts being obtained. The new BoD are clearly focussed at incorporating Connect IB's expertise within Redstone's core business to deliver something unique. I expect that we will see further similar contract wins particularly after news of this goes public in August.
Just gone through - 4.5 million shares?
Hi James I tend to agree with your comments, but also think it was maybe the 1st contract for combined RedstoneConnect so wanted to demonstrate that the acquisition strategy is working.
- that of the last contract announced. So I would say fairly material. Lots of cross selling opportunities to be exploited. All IMHO.
Lets remember where we've come from to now, looking very positive
I agree the entire team has helped steady the ship but think that his previous knowledge of Redstone must have been incredibly useful. Hopefully this can get us moving in the right direction (I've been a share holder for a while & now feel confident enough in the company to start posting :) )
I suspect they released the RNS purely to stop the fall. Hence lack of detail. It's good news, but this is what connectIB do.... (See their website) so without figures I'm surprised this is seen as worthy of an RNS. That said, I'm also surprised at our tumble this week. Hence my theory that this was released purely to try and kick-start momentum. I know nothing...
Great news, could have done with a bit more detail?
Keeping numbers close to chests ! MIss G
Nice contract and very well written rns. best wishes
Connect IB gaining traction, hopefully more contracts to be announced in the near future.
Didn't see you'd already posted article....
Following their appointments last year and the announcement of results for the company’s year ended 31st January 2016, I’ve chatted to Coms plc (COMS) CEO Mark Braund and CFO Spencer Dredge. The year also saw disposals and restructuring to reposition the company as focused on smart technology for buildings and commercial spaces - and meant a £2.18 million loss. However, stripping out £1.49 million of this from now discontinued operations and £1.44 million of “integration and transactional costs” sees a £0.74 million adjusted profit. Net cash at the year-end was £1.05 million. Post this, the company has announced a £1.3 million acquisition (of software applications for ‘smart’ buildings and commercial spaces business, Connect IB) and a £3.1 million (gross) placing at 1.4p per share to fund it, “as well as providing working capital to support the integration of Connect IB into Coms and for the continued strategic development of the enlarged group”. This sees Braund and Dredge not needing any further cash for their organic growth plans, though there may be in conjunction with consolidating, product-enhancing or product-adding acquisition opportunities. However, there is a stated “increasing appetite from institutional investors who are keen to take part in any future funding event”, which should aid the company in limiting any dilution of existing shareholders. Com’s continuing business (Redstone, which designs, installs and services IT and ‘smart’ building infrastructure) also delivered 36% revenue growth in the year, to over £40 million, and its performance reportedly “continues to improve, with strong demand seen in its core markets”. The results statement then adds that “through better management systems, ongoing product and systems innovation and proactive cross-selling of services… the group's prospects for leveraging organic growth opportunities from our core business have improved considerably”. The relatively new management here have already achieved much and, from our chat, it seems clear that the market opportunity for smart technology for buildings and commercial spaces continues to grow at pace. The shares have responded to a current circa 1.475p, capitalising the company at around £24 million. Based on the profit noted earlier, such a valuation looks rich - but the growth potential from here looks exciting. As such, I’ll certainly continue to monitor progress, with the shares now on the watchlist. - See more at: http://www.*************.com/views/21029/coms-full-year-results-and-chat-with-ceo-cfo-exciting-growth-potential#sthash.yoAOOurI.dpuf
My feeling is that we have the redstone com and that redstone connect.com is not required. All that is needed now is to sell the coms.com domain.
Has some opportunist got in there and beat the company to the domain name? Poor show by the company if that is the case. Still no news about the Netherlands. Perhaps expansion into Europe is not on any more?
Redstoneconnect.com is missing from that list. Looks like someone ran away with it, as it was registered at the same time as all the other new domains: http://servicehostnet.com/domain/redstoneconnect.com
