Are we to assume that the 2 producers are making increasing offers without a single one being binding? Any binding offer would need to be put before us lot. They can’t finalise any deal without it being voted on by all shareholders. Can’t really understand how it can take 18 months if this is how it’s proceeding. One will non-bindingly outbid the other and we will then be told? Or both will make a binding offer and we will vote on it? Never known a sale like it tbh. Fingers xd for good news this week.
Tml1, my understanding is that you need both parties to agree to make it binding. So I am assuming that the offers so far haven't been high enough to appease Jim. If Jim isn't interested by the offers so far, he won't put it to a vote.
Of course the 2parties may not have made offers. They were in detailed negotiations in dec it is now 5 months later. Still as yet no offer. There could be legal issues /due diligence issues etc. the assumption that the only issue is Mellon playing hardball are quite fanciful imv.
Nero paints people as impatient yet mc last spring hoped for a deal by summer, granted he didn’t say which summer.
Mellon said Mellon . Yet again remind that Mellon said 150 k oz production for this year then states we are not miners . Foolhardy or misleading???
36 p was a nice de risk price and many have taken advantage of the pump.
Good luck all
Cheers CF. A binding offer isn’t a binding agreement, just a promise by a buyer to pay a certain price. Puts the onus on the seller to accept or reject, but has to be announced to shareholders. I find it strange that neither of the serious interested parties has seen fit to test our resolve with a binding offer or bid, especially when we have, according to MC, a world class resource. It would be interesting, once the process is over (an we are all rich😄) to see a timeline of the last 18 months actions and process behind the scenes. We’ve all speculated so much with so little communication. That won’t happen but I’d love to know of all the machinations. GLA as always.
Tml, peeps could look over their last 5 years of posting and then evaluate how far off the ball their assumptions and predictions were. As always more can be gleaned reading between the lines than hanging on every wink, smile hint by bod.
For me there is too much opportunity this year elsewhere to just sit around waiting hopefully.
Sakura, sar. Any thoughts ? Bought back there recently.
Nobody has a crystal ball. When Condor is sold we should see share price double. Could be tomorrow or next month but i am still hopeful we secure the deal before June. While we might tread water in the meantime odds of deal happening are getting shorter. Happy to wait for the cavalry to arrive.
Hi Sen
I share your thoughts. One of the frustrating things about hanging around Condor is that I am missing out on other opportunities in an exceptional market. Before Christmas I did not expect us to achieve more than 40p. Now I have no idea. There again it seems nothing is happening in the short term . I have too many shares to sell without impacting the price so selling at 30 odd is not really an option either. What to do?
Simms - on could equally argue that while we tread water the odds of a deal are getting longer. It there was a meeting of minds this would have happened
Calibre are having their regular 3 monthly online meeting tomorrow around 5pm UK time... Register at https://dpregister.com/sreg/10187404/fbebde150c and completing the online registration form. Should be interesting.
I recommend you sign up today, I believe a couple of questions about Condor will be asked in the question section at the end.
Thanks Bankside. Very helpful.
Imagine that.
Imagine a world where dialogue between PIs and BOD were a thing.
I have bad days and good, with all this waiting. The gold's not going anywhere and just getting more valuable by the day - which is excellent.
Conversely, the lack of updates and outright blocked comms from BOD really is a slap in the face.
They really ought to have done better
The one thing you’d thing those who have been here a while would have is ‘bullet proof’ patience ha ha
Bankside, will you be attending this? I'll struggle to listen it. Would be interested in what was said but I think very little if we are in an NDA with them.
