"Each Cenkos Shareholder will be entitled to receive and retain the 0.5 pence cash dividend "
"The Cenkos Board intends in due course to declare an interim dividend of 3 pence per Cenkos Share, which is intended to be formally declared after 30 June 2023 and paid before the Effective Date (the "Interim Dividend"). "
Sorrry... Last comment should have said current SP valuation for Cenkos shares equates to 35p...... not 3.5p
Typo :-)
I doubt its worth a dabble in Cenkos shares or even Fincap.
Major drop in Fincap SP coming as well as Cenkos I suspect.
Not a good deal for Cenkos PIs. Current Cenkos SP =36p but only getting 3.19 Fincap shares per share so but of a hit I would say for those shareholders. That is, your Cenkos shares are only worth 3.19xFincap SP which equates to under 3.5 at present.
If the Fncaip share prices drops further (which I beleive it will do due to Fncap Doubling their Issued Share base as a result) then the Transfer value gets worse.
For example if Fincap SP drops to 9p then transfer value = (approx) 28.7p so approx 20% value reduction in each Cenkos share.
Note: Fincap has approx 151Mil shares wheres Cenkos has 57Mil shares.
So that means Fincap will have to DOUBLE their number of Shares in issue to accommodate the Share transfer (unless Fincap has over 160Mil+ shares unissued in their back pocket).
SO at least a 50% drop in Fincap SP coming..... unless I'm not understanding 'HOw' Fincap are going to get around that one.
I guess it's time to BAIL until after this merger and see what the 'New merged' Fincap SP does.
To merge with FCAP.
Merger values CNKS at c37p per share.
CNKS results in March poor, but outlook relatively optimistic in poor environment. (In line).
FCAP interims in Dec also weaker, but in line.
Ex-div for 0.5p on 26 May
Further 3p div for CNKS holders post merger.
Combined entity to hold c£18m cash.
Can currently buy sub-37p.
Worth a dabble?

Bought back .. missed the merger details ... did I see 3.5p dividend to Cenkos holders due by year end?
Warning from WHI and weak update from NUM. Not good signs!

Would think Cenkos shareholders should be happier with this deal.
Have only very briefly read through the merger RNS - but with dividends to be paid and shares in FinnCap issued - looks a no brainer at 39p

Seems like I made a good call.
Totally agree.
I bailed this morning …. The phrase “underlying earnings in profits” suggests to me a loss being posted.
Could go either way IMO.
Very possibly, but seems to me to translate more as "things are still not great, but not as bad as we thought they could be".
MINI BOOM
Last post: Temple_of_Doom, 12 Jan 2023 17:22
Good timing …. I have a smallish stake again …. Not held this share since the 70-120 trading range a few years ago.
I'm back in below 45p. Buying this at book value or below is a bit of a no brainer IMO. There has been M&A in the sector with Arden getting taken out by INCE so a bid is not out of the question. Nice dividend of ~7.5% while I wait for the AIM market to improve.
I sold out this morning. They don't appear to have done a deal in March and I don't think general business confidence is going to be great for the next 6 months or more. Liquidity was surprisingly good. I still like the business and would buy back in at the right price, just think risk/reward looks poor for the time being.

Yes, FC, not expensive at all. The loss of Woodford's business and the horrible spread put off some, I*m sure, but all the more for us!
And Director buying …
Great results and still a bargain
Meant to add that results are due later this month.
Nice read across from FCAP, where the revenues will exceed the top end estimates? There are going to many mergers, acquisitions and fund raisings to keep these chaps busy.

CNKS tipped yesterday in thisismoney, but not reflected in any great move or volume today. If an economic squeeze really comes this lot should do well from fundraisings.

Good show from Numis this morning. Revenue from market making operations was up 299%!
Cenkos have just completed a (circa) £250m IPO for Round House Music. Biggest capital raise of the year. Tip for shareholders: do a keyword search for 'Cenkos' at the Investegate RNS website. It should bring up any placings, IPOs, equity raise, new broker appointments etc. You should then be able to track how the company is performing ahead of formal results announcements.
Now up 7%
Certainly looks like something is on the cards..........
Looking back there was a 385k purchase on 2nd as well

At such a low P/B - a big increase in revenue from the Corp Finance division, the huge Round Hill IPO and the huge cash flow increase why is the market still undervaluing this stock? Thinking of getting in asap but if I can get it at a lower price, eg 45p, which would be nuts at this stage I will.

Yes good results. Earnings slightly ahead of my expectation and It was good to see the underlying profit quantified. I am a relatively new investor and happy with these results
£2m underlying H1 profit against a £26m mcap. Not much above book value. Fixed costs reduced. Looks good to me.

I threw the towel in at 70 odd pence for a quick weekly trade a year or so ago ....
... having bailed as an investor around 115p ... quick profit ... and waiting for real blood to spill here Cenkos was too dependent on Woodford ... and investors in Woodford overreacted IMO ... personally I saw his face too often in adverts so stayed away myself.
it would be an obvious cue if Jim Durkin had a good pedigree or track record. He has neither. Cenkos has struggled for strategic direction for years in an increasingly challenging market. The limit of the Board's vision has been to open Liverpool and Singapore offices in recent years and to buy back share to further reward employees. A joke. The most promising characteristic of the returning CEO is that he has a decent equity stake which he may try to monetise at a reasonable level before retiring again. Time to throw the towel in.
Grabbed a few this morning ... waiting until a new CEO was appointed an obvious cue.
The return of Jim Durkin as CEO is good for Cenkos also the fact that Will Rogers head of the investment trust team staying is positive .At the moment of this message i am not a holder of Cenkos shares

Turnover down 45%
Cash down 33%
Loss for six months of £0.2m
Interim dividend held at 2p.
However "...the second half has started well with a number of transactions completed including an IPO. This means Cenkos has completed two of only seven IPO's whose shares were admitted to trading on the AIM market in the period to August 2019, which demonstrates that Cenkos remains the leading AIM broker, raising money even in very difficult market conditions. Pipeline for the remainder of the year and for 2020 is encouraging. We continue to evolve our business to adapt to market changes and remain at the forefront in providing capital and solutions for growth companies."
The actions include getting rid of two directors. The new/reinstated CEO is taking control here.
