Tiburn some good posts and synopsis about the Clontarf situation.
I understand the British have a history but we do not want to lose this one and should as soon as possible get the economy moving and that is why testing is so important. Test everyone is the answer and isolate the vulnerable. Keep fit, rest and eat well GL
and you are happy about that?
They may of been draconian but it appears to of worked, to stave of time..
We need this time for Hospital admissions & more importantly to get a vaccine developed..

Gunboat diplomacy was invented by the British, not subtle, but it got what the Govt of the day wanted in the days of Empire
The worst example of this was in the Opium wars against the Chinese:
https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opium_Wars
"Early in the 19th century, British merchants began to take opium into China in return for bringing Chinese tea back to Britain. In 1839, China said that the British could not bring opium into their country.... The British were upset at this and sent gunboats in 1840 to attack Chinese cities along the coast. China had no weapons to protect themselves, and so they lost the war."
The Chinese have long memories, believe in what goes around comes around, circles of power etc, now is their time, they are using modern gunboat diplomacy to get what they want, with the same total lack of any remorse as displayed by the British in their era of dominance.
How far this resolve goes and to what levels we don't know, but global financial dominance, control over resources and empire building by silk road diplomacy is real and in action.
Had another top-up
:)
BRIDGES...........Exactly !
PLUS, who can Trust any info from Chinese Authorities, I personally believe they have Hundreds of Daily DEATHS.
Sitting resumes at 10:30 this morning!
I personally will be interested in the Djia to see if the markets have bottomed or retest the lows. China seems to have managed to return to manufacturing and I would expect Asia to remain flat or slight up trend. Futures are looking down at the moment though we shall see. As for Clon we should see upwards momentum as the bill is expected to be in effect this week. Funny how China seems to be containing the virus now and rest of world not. Call me a cynic but I am sure Washington will be looking into how the covid 19 got out of the lab. Is this an intentional germ war to destroy the western economies oh wait who has loads of cash to buy on the cheap ummmm China. Capitalism can’t sustain this but Communism can. Belarus have the right idea ish vodka and Saunas. However testing should be top priority to get everyone back to work ASAP!!!!otherwise the Chinese will win this one. We all need to have our eyes wide open with what is actually happening .....,,
Lets see what this week brings ….. My eyes will be on how the Asian(OZ Markets open later tonight to see how we will pan out for the start of the week …

Dutch a lot of confusion over this subject but if you are talking about Scotland oil and gas fits in with the Critical National Infrastructure as per the Scottish Government 25/3/20 also Under essential services that underpin daily life and ensure the country continues to function etc.... you can check the Scottish Gov Covid 19 publications. A lot of confusion around these definitions and who is allowed to work and who isn’t but you need to read the Small print to get things moving and I admit that was a broad statement I made. However we are seeing movement, manufacturing and production. A juggling act in the worlds oil and gas environment and an ever changing playing field that’s all I can say mate ;)
""good thing though the oil and gas industry is exempt "" Where or How did you come to that conclusion??
For example

Guys thanks for all the updates having been checking in everyday and find them all very informative. Things have been v hectic for me lately with this Covid 19 implications. A lot to juggle, good thing though the oil and gas industry is exempt so we can keep pushing forward albeit difficult and challenging. Thanks again and looking forward to getting this bill behind us as it is crucial to Clonsters. GLA
Hi Folks ,, I did not listen today but I just caught up with the backtrack recording,..
They passed an issue on Clause 35 (this one they have been going back to everyday all last week)
After they passed it the member proposing/conducting this Bill suddenly remembered something …just a word I think needs changing
Anyway, the same guy said on Monday his aim is to finish & Conclude (Pass) the Consideration Stage of the Bill
Stay Safe and Healthy

.... so when this has been read the third time ( now ) and all clauses agreed, ( next week) it is sent to the president for signing.
The president has been quite vocal asking parliament to complete this final consideration stage this last year.
Upon president signing the bill becomes an act.
The cabinet have been sent the legal documents by pan Andean for Tano. ERIN is in chapter 7.
Don’t expect a signed block....Monday... but do expect that if this is read, passed and then signed to see the wheels move quickly. Huge pressure on gnpc and Ghana to get rolling.
SP could go anywhere from 2p to 10p others have said as high as 20-25p... when ratification and or farm occurs. hope that helps
Hard listening, but from what I could hear clause 168 was in discussion but then adjourned until Monday.
What do you mean it wasn't passed??? As in reached or disapproved??
Not sure if 168 was actually passed but sounds like that’s it for the Insolvency Bill for today until Monday!!
Skelley,
I think further clauses have been identified for discussion. These will be considered on Monday. The Speaker emphasised that he wanted proceedings to be complete on Mon.
If I'm not mistaken but they have just past 168
Anyone else listening
They have just started on it....
Just been listening for the last hour. It's going to be a long day. Not sure if they will get to it or not. There's alot to cover on the schedule before 168 and 169.
Its hard work viewing it
Is there any where we can get any updates throughout the morning?
GLA
We can all celebrate together........metaphorically speaking of course.
