Yes, terrible as it obviously is, it would make the Tribunal look bad if they imposed huge fines on ROI. However, fortunately, they are only giving a verdict on the annulment. I hope they aren't swayed by the news.
Actually, whatever the result, a resolution has got to be good for ROI anyway. Lets hope it isn't too much longer
Realist: I had the very same thought when the awful earthquake happened ...
So, two months from final submission takes us to end of Oct!!
Really hope the awful earthquake doesn't have a bearing on their decision. Guess not as they aren't awarding and any fines against ROI just a judgement on annulment. However, nothing surprises me anymore.
Looking at the deadly dull procedural notes on the ICSID site it would appear that there was roughly two months between final submission and judgement last time. However, much of the original work is done, this is just a question of whether they see enough for an annulment. Would have thought it might be quicker?? Guess we'll see.
I'm convinced if we get annulment there will be a deal soon after as ROI wont want to risk a full loss.
Everything crossed that we find out quickly either way . GLA
As I am an optimist Boom Boom
Best of Luck All ,
Especially those in both of these legal cases .
Good luck. I’m up to my ears already but not very hopeful. Whilst we should win, we are up against the establishment.
Tripled up yesterday. The odds must be about as good as roulette. Submission of costs today... they've already had six weeks to deliberate.. decision could come down any day.
church of boom or doom - bbr?

If only I could .

Time always goes so slowly if you dont want it to!
The complete opposite otherwise!!
Sorry, been out since I posted. I was alerted to the holdings RNS which showed Nicholas Slater reduced his stake by 1.3%. Have to confess I only saw the date at the head of the form. Looks like g0mer is correct and it happened on the 13th well before the hearing. Guess can only be cold feet and nothing else...phew....sorry if I caused concern!
So anytime after 31st Aug....we wait with everything crossed!
Hi FJS you and me both!!
More purchases going through at 3.55 ... which also suggests no large sale.
Realist?
Thank you g0mer.
Realist: no big sale showing on Nex that I can see still. Just a couple of small trades, one well after the sale you mention????
It was a holdings RNS. The effective date was the 13th, so it couldn't possibly be linked to any info on the hearing. RNS on the Annulment proceedings update is out: https://www.nexexchange.com/announcements?newsid=4078521
Well that sounds like very bad news...
It still hasn't appeared on the nex screen I look at, which is also still showing 3.2-3.6
What price was the sale at and what is the new quote please?
Well, someone's dumped 1.3% this morning....hope that's just cold feet and not an indication!
been waiting to long - make us happy or sad - just hurry up
My thoughts too. The idea that nothing at all leaks from these tribunals is daft. There are very strict rules of course but it's naïve to think there wont be signs as this is huge either way.
It will be interesting to see what happens to the share price in the meantime. I am wondering whether there will have been signs which could result in some taking positions either way on the outcome.

Procedural Orders suggest 4wks for post hearing submissions and two wks for costs declarations, so guess max 6 wks from today for final verdict, but maybe sooner. The wait goes on!
Lets hope so!
If there is an annulment, my thinking is ROI will want to settle quick. I dont think they'll risk another full hearing. After all, their case will have been completely undermined
Time will tell, nobody knows. More than Churchill at stake here though!
ICSID will also be looking for ominous signs that point to a Judicial review, should they even think about playing silly games with any of the 17 points raised.
Would like to be a fly on the wall when they have a recess and ICSID guys look at each other and that WTF moment hits them
starts today.... finishes tomorrow....dont suppose we'll hear the result then though. Everything crossed!
