Did you look @CWR?
Yes, I knew they were with E-on, unfortunately just after I switched to N Power But may switch to them when I come up for renewal in the hope they offer incentives to change boiler as mine is really old . Have you seen the big buy this morning ??
They are working together with E-on engineers and we will see a boiler specificly to the UK market!
Did you see inside the boiler housing? why do you reckon there was so much apparent space around the actual boiler unit. I couldn't see any pipes but we could only see a bit above floor level so I suppose there could have been something there. If they could reduce the size this would be far more usable in UK homes. Nice to here someone else who is as positive as me that this company really has something special
Good link!I just watched it!!It is the future!
Just watched the Today, Tonight programme on Aussie tele: http://au.news.yahoo.com/today-tonight/video/watch/29048454/coming-up-on-today-tonight/ It's really quite impressive and at least it's producing electricity at peak times rather than solar which produces most when we don't need it as much. The units are quite big but they all seem to put them outside, although looking into the outer container the boiler itself doesn't look that big - not sure what all the space was for. I suppose larger houses could put them in the garage. Even more convinced now that they are the future and they will coninue to develop.

This included AUD 0.6m (GBP 0.4m) for capital expenditure payments in relation to work on the large scale furnaces in Germany.

Ceramic Fuel Cells applauds German capital subsidy for micro combined heat and power units Tuesday, April 03, 2012 by Bevis Yeo Ceramic Fuel Cells (ASX: CFU) has welcomed the German Government’s introduction of a capital subsidy for micro combined heat and power (micro-CHP) units, which includes its BlueGen products. Eligible micro-CHP that generate up to 20 kilowatts of electricity and meet demanding performance requirements, including a total efficiency of at least 85% will receive a subsidy of €1800 (A$2300). The subsidy could help drive adoption of micro-CHP units. Meanwhile, the company’s German sales partner sanevo blue energy has received its first order for a BlueGen unit in Austria, as well as a follow-on order for 2 units in Switzerland. The units are part of first order for 100 BlueGen units. BlueGen promises electrical efficiency of up to 60% - the highest in the world. This efficiency increases to 85% when heat from the unit is used to produce hot water.
Ceramic Fuel Cells (CFU) 91c STILL on the theme of benefiting the planet, here's an update on the fortunes of the maker of nifty household devices that convert gas to electricity at a more efficient ratio than a traditional power station. Locally, Ceramic has sold just over 60 of its BlueGen units linked with smart-energy and social housing programs. But the truth is solar gets the government handouts and BlueGen doesn't, which renders the dishwasher-sized units far too expensive in comparison. But it's a different story in gloomy old Europe, where there's an order book for more than 500 units. "An order book of 1000 by the middle of the year is not an unreasonable expectation," says Ceramic chief Brendan Dow. "That's the order book, but sales are more challenging because you need the arms and legs to install them." Germany is an intriguing case study renewables-wise: the nation embraces solar and offers generous incentives. The trouble is, solar power benefits the grid during the day (a non-peak household time) and does little for base load. In a new strategy, Berlin has decreed that 25 per cent of power must come from combined heat and power units (such as BlueGen) and is proposing to bump up feed-in tariffs to achieve this. Germany's state governments have separate incentives. Ceramic shares haven't exactly lit up the bourse and Dow doesn't expect the company to be cash-flow positive until next year. Still, the BlueGens are on the market and they'll become cheaper as more of them are sold. Speculative buy maintained.
Now could be the right time to buy into fuel cell companies. A new generation of fuel cell-based mCHP (micro Combined Heating and Power) systems are promising to revolutionise the way we power and heat our homes. Several of the companies leading the way are listed in London, have blue-chip backing and currently look very cheap. What's more, in February, the government announced that the feed-in tariff for electricity generated by qualifying mCHP systems would be increased by 19% from 10.5p/kWh to 12.5p/kWh. The timing could be perfect for residential mCHP product launches. The efficiency of a conve…
The big question is how does this translate to profit / loss
Ceramic Fuel Cells Managing Director Brendan Dow said recent developments in European markets had added significantly to the attractiveness of the company's products. "The German Parliament has proposed an increased feed in tariff for products like ours, and German states have announced market introduction programs. Earlier this month we stated that we welcomed the UK Government's announcement of an increase in the feed in tariff for micro power and heating products (m-CHP), which includes our BlueGen product. There is no doubt that governments the world over are seeing the benefits of distributed generation of electricity, particularly technologies like ours which significantly reduce carbon emissions."
