Stands at approx 125p. For the first time in a while it is in reach and starting to bottom out. A strong buy signal if breached and Maintained. Watching with interest especially if news breaks.Sorry for boring any chartist luddites :-)
That could be the case, Rebess, but I thought the commercials starting going net long quite a few weeks ago. So I'm not so sure if gold will take a hit.
I've noticed that Dr Copper is beginning to look a little sickly and the $US is right down in the huge support zone. That doesn't necessarily mean gold will be hit - we could get some risk off momentum. I can still see gold pushing towards $1950. We'll see.
Poetry, eh?
'How hasty is time to depart from us,
Through adult, from child and birth,
For a man has but a few short years,
To make his history upon the earth.'
Comex expiry this week which probably means PM's taking a hit. - The 'Evil Empire' strikes back week.
Hi Tibbs
I don't know about the expiry of the Sukari-mine, my fear is that is we who shall expire. - ' For them no more the blazing hearth shall burn'.
Hi Cowichan - I'll have to give that one some thought. :-)
It was a Canadian of course who wrote the lines quoted, or something similar, which I'm sure you knew.
Thank you for your contributions here. - So much effort on your part in keeping us all informed and the unselfish dispensation of the results.
Hi Rebess
That's a very fair comment ,from our past experience if there are any legal challenges and the judicial process is involved then I fear the reserve life of the existing Sukari may be at risk of expiry before any ruling is made!
Another decade or two of appeals and yet more adjournments although by then who knows, a change of Egyptian government, the UK might well be no more if the Scot's have gained their independence and rejoined the EU, the remaining English government will have changed, possibly for one that doesn't lie as much, but in any case one of far lesser consequence in the world order!
So we had better all hope that EMRA can propose an agreement that is acceptable to the three remaining mining companies before too long!
So long as the deal is good- CEY have been fab for Egypt so I live in hope on balance that the deal will reflect this.
More poems please Rebess ;-)
Perhaps a regular addition on Mondays?
I hope there isn't a Parliamentary or Court process involved. - There just isn't the years of life left in any of us, even the youngest among us, to accommodate .
From their website.....
‘ Subject to shareholder approval at the 2021 Annual General Meeting on 11 May 2021, the final dividend will be paid on 15 June 2021 in US Dollars (“US$”) with an option for shareholders to elect to receive the dividend in Pounds Sterling (“GBP”).’
From a well informed contact-
It seems share holders have to be patient (again) as the ongoing negotiations are somewhat complex.
In view of this the terms for the Egypt licenses for Barrick, Centamin and B2Gold are most likely to be announced at around the same time, if an agreement can be reached with the government.
We should bear in mind that this is Egypt’s great opportunity to make a really big statement about their intent to develop a gold mining industry and have quality miners to make this a reality.
Post ex-divi date, how long should it take before you see the funds/divi in your account?
Me too :)
I got excited when I saw an RNS, thought license news- heyho we wait...

Hi RedSparrow,
Pigeons can be annoying at times, although I suppose they just want to live like everything else,
Rooks's especially are so intelligent as are crows and they have such a lovely sheen to their feathers, we have a crow family that calls past sometimes, I have never seen a Tree Creeper, my grandfathers favorite birds were the Song Thrushes , evidently after the cease fire of WW1 shortly after the silence fell a Song Thrush broke out into song, my grandfather never forgot that.
Major stock markets in Europe were higher on Monday ahead of the start of the first weekly trading session. Over the weekend, European Commission's Valdis Dombrovskis warned that the coronavirus pandemic will leave lasting effects on the economy. Meanwhile, British Home Secretary Priti Patel said that Downing Street is continuing to follow outbreak data related "to the next stage of the roadmap" out of the lockdown.
The FTSE 100 was up 0.21% at 7:51 am CET, while the CAC 40 increased just 0.05%. The DAX was closed today for a public holiday.
The euro and the pound were both flat against the greenback at 7:50 am CET, changing hands for 1.21870 and 1.41526 dollars.
Breaking the News / MD
Of the three companies which re-signed their contracts in February 2019:
- one has since announced the go-ahead to develop (as of May 2021 see 2nd link below)
- while the other two have promised shareholders an announcement in Q2 2021
February 26, 2019, the Minister of Mines and Quarries, Oumarou Idani, signed three mining resource exploitation agreements in three provinces, namely Noumbiel, Zoundweogo and Ganzourgou. The co-signatories of this agreement are the mining companies Konkera SA [Centamin] , Kiaka SA [B2Gold] and Bombore SA [Orezone] . These now have the right to exploit mineral deposits in the aforementioned provinces...

My Thoughts:
It's probably no coincidence all three projects have suddenly and concurrently sprung to life - so what is the connection?
Hi Mr Tibbles
Someone gave me the Detectorists Boxset as a present. A fantastic programme and I loved the music - although not Lance and Andy's effort in the pub with 'New Age Girl'. I liked the Triumph TR7 as well. I've seen Ghosts on Iplayer. I am watching Butterflies on DVD at the moment - I remember it from when I was about 12 and It's still pretty good compared to most things on TV today.
There are so many different kinds of birds where I live - some I never knew existed (Treecreepers). The Song Thrushes sing first thing in the morning and last thing at night before their bedtime. There is a Rookery right next to me - they make so much noise that they always get me up early in the spring and summer months. The pigeons have a bad habit of ripping off the blossom and new leaves on the cherry and plum trees. It's impossible for me to net the trees so I just hope they get fed up with the habit before they do too much damage. They never touch apples or pears, which is a good thing because I do.
Hi RedSparrow,
Just been out and replenished the insect feast fat blocks for the pair of Black Birds, Robins, Blue tits and Dunnocks living in the garden hedge's and tree's.
Also have a pair of Collard Doves and some Wood pigeons that visit each day for the loaf of bread and bird seed feast!
We have turned the front lawn over to wild flowers and other plants that attract bees, butterflies and insects, very satisfying to watch the results.

Also on Talking Picture TV Enemy at the door
From a time when British television period and costume drama was of a consistently high standard, Enemy at the Door, by London Weekend Television, is a real standout.
The casting is as perfect as could be. It's also very cleverly written, and acted, in that the German occupiers often seem more likeable than many of the islanders, particularly the Commandant, Richter, played superbly by Alfred Burke. The relationship between Richter and the local doctor, Martel (Bernard Horsfall) is exquisitely crafted, demonstrating the tensions arising from being enemies by circumstance, harbouring a mutual liking and respect without showing it too much, and having to oversee a functioning community in impossible circumstances.

Mr Zambian,
Everyone should be entitled to express their opinion and to make their choice's, only time will tell if the outcome is for the better or worse, right or wrong and then what if anything is learnt from the experience.
In the meantime whatever anyone's opinion the present situation won't last forever, time will move on and change will inevitably happen as the reality and dissatisfaction with the present kicks in causing the pendulum of public opinion to swing the other way.
The pandemic has diverted the public's attention from the realisation that the UK has been taken back 50 years to an era that really was never was as good as some may like to remember, whist the rest of the world has changed and moved on 50 years and more in so many ways.
Hi Mr Tibbles
I very much appreciate your posts too and indeed everyone who posts on this board. I think it is one of the best boards and one of only two I feel comfortable posting on - the other being Rockhopper.
I think this board has shown me how much I don't know about so many things. There are philosophers, mining experts, financial analysts, Bitcoin/crytocurrency gurus, economists, bacteriologists, doctors, political experts, classic car fanatics and Liverpool fans, to name but a few. Oh, and there are the wise. All concentrated in this one place. Thank you Sir Tim Berners-Lee.
However, the thing I really like best of all is that, no matter what things are said in a careless moment to upset us, we are all able to forgive one another. To me, a person who can take the slings and arrows and forgive those that threw them, is pure class. That is why I think all the people who post on this board, are first class. Long may they continue to be so.
By the way, I have finished watching Black Books. Thanks so much for telling me about it. It's just my kind of humour. A real gem.
Thanks to you both for replying... Confirms my guessdamation is near enough.
Cheers
