Good xmas to all and a happy prosperous New Year
Merry Christmas one and all , allies and adversaries alike , and I wish you all a happy and (hopefully ) prosperous new year
Cheers !
Sorry for the typo should read as 2022
I enjoy your posts Cowichan, very informative and it is good to see someone with the knowledge and determination to challenge the status quo. Please keep up the good work in 20222. No need to take MrBonds comemnts too much to heart.
Now they can go buy nigh on a full 1% in the new year before they need to disclose to the market again.
I was just thinking about how utterly annoying MrBond's criticisms of my posts are to read
and then I thought about how utterly annoying my criticisms of Centamin's management must be for them to read - especially Mr Horgan (assuming he/they/ir read any of my posts!)
and I thought, damn, I should be more positive in my posts - to find a balance in 2022
thanks for the lesson MrBond - Merry Christmas you crotchety old man ;-)
Merry Christmas to one and all here. Most certainly the most mannered and convivial forum on the net. Diverse opinions of course but all voiced in unabusive tones Many many thanks to all.
Keep safe and well
Regards
Bob
SteveJones999,
Yes on that latest little prop trade/ fiddle about. I think their average is probably over a pound.
It seems to me that they actually set the price direction with a small proportion of their holding. Selling at 105 to 115 buying back in the 90s or in this case below.
Happy Christmas all holders, keep away from the Omicron, seems everyone around here in SW London already has it.
Thank you MrT .
I am afraid Christmasses were never the same for me after reaching 21.
They told me Santa was not real. ;-(
The Very Best too one and all.
HI Rebess
Merry Christmas to you and also one and all!
Thank you and also to all our forum friends!!
Merry Xmas to one and all.
Thank you for all your contributions.
Every good wish for 2022.
Just added some more CEY before Xmas. Fingers crossed.
Hi Mr Bond,
Must admit that due to my limited understanding of open my mining techniques I underestimated the consequences of the discovery of the crack in the open pit wall, after reading comments from other former mining professionals that he safety systems in place had worked as they should, then it would be a case of a statement from the new CEO about what action was being taken and the share price would remain around £1.60-£1.70 until the next quarters announcement that things were back to normal.
Even allowing for the past mishaps, missed targets and erratic performance of the previous management I certainly didn't envisage the announcement that open pit waste clearance had been neglected to such an extent that Sukari would need the extensive and costly strip back that is now in progress to restore Sukari production to cost effective and sustainable levels.
I am as surprised, disappointed, even appalled, not sure which is the right wording to describe my feeling about the BOD in Jersey claim to have been unaware of the build up of uncleared waste at Sukari, but then there were some analyst's from big brokerages that visited Sukari, shouldn't they have noticed the failure to clear waste?
So now we feel the pain and have to be patient yet again whilst most of those that caused the mess have taken their rewards
That said and from personal experience I know Martin Horgan is much more aware of and does take investors views seriously, I hope I'm not wrong , but I feel pretty confident that we have the right CEO now who is well aware of the past ,but sees the task in hand to turn Centamin around as the priority, lets hope it doesn't take too long and the recovery is as permanent as it can be in gold mining.
Happy Christmas to you and your family
Really like this board and the variety of views on it which makes it a great board.
So before I forget - All the best for 2022!
But can’t be bothered to look back at this year’s buys and sells from them to view yearly- although I would suspect a loss as hard to trade and make a profit on a share that has dropped ~35% YTD.
Black rock did well- quick look (and I mean quick) suggests they sold at around 97 and bought back in at around 87
They know the bottom is in. China New Year gold rally is now starting. Centamin rally is underway.
Buying some back.
Wondrous investing no less
Major European stocks traded mostly lower ahead of Friday's session, as countries across the bloc continued reporting the largest number of COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. However, a somewhat positive sentiment was pushed by a study that claimed people infected with the Omicron variant could be up to 70% less likely to be hospitalized compared to those who contract the Delta strain.
While the DAX was closed ahead of the Christmas holidays, the FTSE 100 and the CAC 40 will be working for only half the trading session. The FTSE 100 declined by 0.14% at 7:25 am CET, while the CAC 40 stood flat at the same time.
The euro traded flat against the dollar to sell for 1.13292, while the pound lost 0.21% to $1.33929.

Dont know where Conway came from?
Cornwall of course.
You stay well Mr Tibbles and hopefully many more holidays in Conway.
Which I always loved, but much further South.
I suppose you would dispute my opinion of Buchanon, you may be right in that.
As for non execs, I consider them .as disposable , like any Poor Director.
But I am sure they will get the hint, eventually, and move on.
Now soon another fresh year.
Happy Christmas and MERRY NEW YEAR. ;-) to you and all.
Hi Mr Bond,
Agree in the main with your comments, although since his arrival some investors might be surprised just how much Martin Horgan is aware of and also gets discussed at a board level.
As far as Martin Horgan is concerned there is only one way to run Sukari, that's properly!
I would say more but it would be inappropriate on a public message board.
Keep well Mr Bond!
