…. I think your Vec experience is otherwise called Sod’s law! I wonder where the private equity money, that wouldn’t been invested in Vectura will go? Are they going to look at other medical plastics manufacturers? We’ll have to see.
There is an example for all Beza. I sold my entire holdings in Vectura just before the 1st bid.
I can also remember when BAT Industries (British American Tobacco) bought a life insurance company....sold it some years later after lots of flack.
Hi Frank….
It’s difficult to say but hopefully the subsequent results these current projections.
Also, I have noticed that the private equity bid for Vectura (a manufacturer of inhalers) has been topped by one from Phillip Morris Tobacco! The irony!
Hi Beza,
I recall from the presentation that sales in h2 2021 were 57million and on a rising trend with new customers on board and tooling ready to go. Maybe a more accurate estimate of the t/o would be to get rid on 2022 forecast and replace with 2023. I won't speculate on the profit figures except to say costs have been taken out and exceptionals are on a downward trend. For 2023 remember "We need more space in Europe and Amarica" further we are working with existing customers at their overseas sites.....,,,,PH will upgrade as time passes... please except typos on a train, all my opinion only.
I use Stockopedia and I have just noticed today that the 2022 & 2023 broker estimates have been revised, which I guess has happened since the company announced its results and Peel Hunt have digested the info. It’s showing 2022 as revenue 114M, profit 2.8M and eps 3.8. For 2023 they gave revenue 123M, profit 4.2M and eps 5.6. The previous figures (pre results) were showing a 2023 turnover of 200M and the re-instatement of a divi.
I added 25k @ 09.56am.
it was reported as an OTC (over the counter) trade and as a sell. It was neither.
Some big sellers and a load of day traders unloading. Fantastic opportunity to top-up at a cheap price. No news, good or bad, and directors bought only last week.
What the hell! There is nothing but persistent selling here. Why?
Disappointing the sp has gone down especially after last weeks director buys but anything sub 50p looks like a bargain to me (echoes of October last year when the sp went from 23 to 12 before rising to 60+).
I intend to re-jig my portfolio to top up again. Reason for this is that a swift rebound may take place once details of contracts are released, which will be with one of the big boys (ie. Mologic?) in which case profits in the next reporting period will be much improved and should please the City.
Don't like betting everything on one stock but I am more than happy to be mega-overweight in Carclo (despite the pension liabilities and lack of divvi til 2023) because management look to know what they are doing and profits are being ploughed back into the medical plastics division and the fact they are buying new machinery and still recruiting.
The 1H interims should look fantastic - the year on year numbers will be based off the very weak H120 covid comparables, and we have seen decent sequential growth each half since then. Only the noobs who only saw value after the shares 10 bagged will now be running for the exit. This is a great story and am happy to continue holding. :)
Good to see Tucson and Latrobe facilities hiring in USA. Including automated packing technicians, as the chairman stated, tooling contracts are a precursor to manufacturing runs, where revenue and profit are generated.
Chairman & CFO buying - also positive signals.
Why is it when there are a high volume of shares traded (7th June, 30th June, 6th July) the share price takes a drop?
Does this mean there are more sellers about? Is this significant? Or just a quirk?
I have noted selling but overall, the volumes have been pretty thin lately. It would be great to get back into the 60’s. I believe the house broker have a price target of 65p.
Hi Beza. With you on that. Am I missing something tons of decent buys not many sells but the price is going down. Not a financial expert but I thought it was supposed to work the other way round. Anyone explain this to me please. GL Nick
At the risk of sounding greedy, I’m a little disappointed with the share price over the last few weeks. I was hoping that the results and investor presentation would provide impetuous for a higher price but that has not happened. Perhaps the lack of a big COVID related contract, or the news that there would be no divi from Carclo for the next of couple of years dampened things a little. The director buying provides some reassurance though.
Thank you!
You can watch a copy of the weninar at: https://presentations.investormeetcompany.com/investor-meet-company/CARCLO-PLC-Preliminary-Results-for-the-year-ended-31-March-21?bmid=b90a0cdac95f
You may have to already be registered to watch it.
Will the presentation be available on the company’s website?
Gutted, listening g in my car and lost signal after about 10mins. Wanted to ask a couple of questions...
Must say though was encouraged with bit I did hear.
Will listen tomorrow now.
Agree...very solid presentation IMO.
Let's hope that the framework agreement with a 'major' OEM for the next 10 years is mentioned tomorrow.
I also agree that it is encouraging to see more director buying. It might be worth buying a few more on the strength of their confidence in the company.
Topped up this morning, thought I better get in early before the investor presentation which might trigger institutional buying !!!!!
I gave Phil White a new job.
That should read CFO
They know what’s in the pipeline?
