The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I had big hopes for Vela, I'm starting to get seriously p'd off with the lack of any progress at all.
I don't have a clue if this new investment is good or not but this doesn't seem to make great reading.
"For the year ended 31 December 2021, Ethernity reported a loss before taxation of $9.2 million. Ethernity's unaudited net assets as at 30 June 2022 were $9.6 million."
Who knows, it’s been there before but with a bit of dilution since. Although I don’t think there’s been anything in the pipeline with as much potential as the St George St Capital investment, people that’s been holding longer than me will be best placed to advise on that. I think we have over £2.5 million in the bank as well, along with a likely sale of our WeShop shares coming soon, so plenty of new investment news to come. The biggest things we’re missing is good communication from the BoD and news on AZD1656
Glad I didn't put the family silver and only what I could afford on this one, although still hopeful of a big upside on commercial news as this is massively oversold.
The communication from the company has been absolutely pathetic.. no update for over a month on our biggest investment! Come on Vela ffs this is like waiting for Christmas on Boxing day!
You'd have thought so, do you think we'll have to wait until any further trial before commercialisation or pharma will take this on the data already collected?
It seems like an age since we last got an update on the St George St Capital investment.
Communication doesn't seem to be Vela's strongest trait, and it's getting a little frustrating!
Hi Rumcaner, I think patience as you’ve said is the key. I’m at a loss with Vela at the moment but I invested in the company because I believe in its potential. I prefer to look at the long term prospects instead of trying to day trade/ time a spike in SP which I’m absolutely useless at!

The Company notes that, further to the announcement on 9 September 2021,
whereby unaudited preliminary final results were released to 31 December 2020,
the Company's shares were suspended today. Upon finalisation and announcement
of the audited financial results, the suspension of the Company's shares will
be lifted.
Buys outweighed sells yesterday, and likewise today the buys now outweigh sells after this mornings sell off… why does the SP crash nearly 15% yesterday and we’re down nearly 12% today! I’m not a seasoned investor I’m struggling to understand what happening here after such a good RNS
