I don't think Tesco ever described their byotrol product as a "key blockbuster innovation project", did they? Solvay has been working on Actizone for several years and in a September 2018 investor presentation referenced it as follows:
"This being said, yes, homecare/personal care remains one of the main segments for us and I did not mention it, but when you look at the North Care business today, we have eight key blockbuster innovation projects: three are in oil and gas and we mentioned two. Two are in agro and I mentioned one. We have still two in homecare/personal care, which are progressing well. These are the ones that we mentioned two years ago, Actizone, and one for the new softener."

STTsBumbag,
"Just look at the size of Solvay"
What has the size of Solvay got to do with them offering Byot's products? That is completely misleading.
Tesco were selling Byot based products until the contract was cancelled a year ago. Tesco is a huge company, yet Byot's sales were small, as could be seen from their accounts.
What happened to the global deal signed with the global company Rentokil Initial in 2011?

Fact is companies sign deals to broaden their product offering.

If only they knew about BYOTROL - Go for it David!
stt thanks for your response. Looking through your posts, I doubt you can find anything positive to say about Byotrol. I guess you're not invested.
Maybe you'll be proven right but I rather like this one.
We've talked about this. Everyone's sales spiked but for most it didn't mean incremental sales, just concentration of demand into an earlier period.
The key thing for byotrol is the covid opportunity has turned into medium to long term demand. More contracts, more interest from customers, more product sales (less reliance on one off revenues).
All very good news.
Thank you for the link. Couldn’t connect earlier

"UK lockdown began on 16th March" "acid test is 1st half"
They announced a spike in sales during Feb/March will be included in yesterday's results.
H1 ends next week. They have said there was a summer lull.
"Our forward order book now sits at £1.1m, reflecting a modest summer lull in purchasing activity and to some extent the evolution of the customer base. ."

Nice find FlagSaff
No RNS about their Actizone launch, just wonder how many more they keeping quiet about.
Great video too.
On the face of it, disappointing. On the other hand, UK lockdown began on 16th March, two weeks before the period end for these results. Surely the acid test will be in the half year and full year results to come. I'd almost suggest with today's drop, it might be a great time to buy in. Or maybe wait a while but do keep watching.
Agreed. No massive spike or kick on as a result of COVID. Crazy some biotech firms are flying and yet these - with the perfect technology - can’t make more money. Need a clear out of senior management team IMO
The results were disappointing. They missed their expectations, published by Finncap in Dec 2019.
The expectations were pre-covid, only 2 months before the spike in sales in Feb/March with sales of approx £1m revenue per month. Therefore, they should have significantly beaten those expectations but they didn't.
The actuals v expectations - (actuals include spike in sales Feb/March, expectations ex-covid):
Revenue: £6.07m, expectations £6m. (Only up 1% thankfully spike sales in Feb/Mar)
Adj Ebitda: £0.26m, expectation £0.4m (DOWN £0.14m)
GP: £2.89m, expectation was £3.2m (DOWN £0.31m)
Net Cash: £1.42m, expectation was £2.6m (DOWN £1.18m)

Is there a possibility of a takeover of Byotrol by the likes of Unilever or Reckitt Benckiser....Just a thought...
After the results, which basically says how the company has performed upto March 2020, it is now on to the individual investor to keep the share price going..I guess..by holding on..so we may experience the best year on year results which will be announced in March 2021. I am now holding on and buying in dips....Solid company with great products...with the second wave here ...we should be getting great results in the coming year and Beyond.....This Share is testing our patience....
this is preliminary results, and the RNS says the final results are due on 30th Sept, though they may not be much different....
Any way 7.40p is a great price , I am buying.....again....
Assuming sales are £9M , 50% GM and all other costs roughly in line then I see a Profit of £1M which would give EPS of approx. 0.2P so at 8p we are on a multiplier of 40 , I am happy with that
or have I missed something
A lot of chunky sells being made this morning. Hmmm
I understand that house broker Finncap are going to upgrade today too
• price target from 11p
