If i remember correctly he dumped 2mil of his own money in when he first got the job. assume the rest were benefits/divs.
despite his salary and 200% bonus, he was still one of the lower paid ceo's on the ftse.
Were they actual BUYs or awards vested based on previous performance?
I bet they’re feeling quite the fool now lol…
DZ bank (2nd largest banking group in Germany) has raised its fair value for BT from 160p to 190p. This aligns with HSBC raising their target price to 190p. Morningstar analysts had a fair value of 200p in place before the finals result . I expect we will get a few more updated raised fair values and targets from others.
Why would philip feel sorry for himself? he's sat on 6.5mil shares.
Anyone here felling sorry for the Shorters?🤷♂️
Nice little additional confidence booster for investors seeing the director buys landing into the RNS feed (albeit Transactions took place earlier this week)! Cherry on the results cake!🍰
Hey Blue, no I was suggesting Philip might be felling sorry for himself. Everything else I agree !!!
Very strong resistance at 132.50p... I reckon that looks to be the floor as it's held up right through the entire morning... once them Yanks wake up over the pond things will get really lively!
Who's in? Let them fireworks begin! :-)

Amen to that!
" Early days but you have to applaud the impact Kirby has made with her first results performance. "
Yes, she spoke very confidently and gave a clear indication that she has a good understanding with regards every area of the business, and even suggested she had a reasonable understanding of the finances.
She didnt have to pause for thought and had answers and on topic, with honesty and on topic.
You can imagine that during the last 3 months she has poked her nose into everything
I also liked the fact that she was quite frank about what needed to improve and appeared unfazed about taking the challenges on.
Simon was very good too. Very clear and precise with the forward expectations
I actually thought the Analysts came off second fiddle this time with Alison and Simon almost having to spoon feed them some of the stuff they really should have grasped themselves....at least that was the impression I got
I think the Analysts will warm to her and get the feeling she isnt going to BS anyone , or indeed have anyone BS her
Hold the line
Buyers seeking out the bottom price to get further involved... shorters crossing their fingers it drops enough to minimise their losses and make the move to close out... Patience is required but fireworks are inevitable imo - DYOR
Well said.
Need a few broker upgrades now to push the SP on another level.
I recall all the negative comments when BT ‘dared’ to select a female CEO, including the various derogatory and sexist posts from rodders. Early days but you have to applaud the impact Kirby has made with her first results performance.
I saw Aus expressing sympathy for ‘Phil’ yesterday and suggesting he deserves credit for heavy lifting. I get that his operational strategy has provided a good platform but the rhetoric we saw yesterday is what we need now.
Share prices are so much about perception and the positivity, optimism and bullishness we heard from the new CEO is exactly what is required to shift what has for so long has been a negative mood around BT.
It was great to see the level of interest, enthusiasm and excitement on here yesterday- I don’t recall it being so busy.
Good start AK. Looking forward to seeing further momentum build.
Start time looking delayed to me - both sides taking a pause to ponder the next moves?
Is this low volume?

That’ll be very SHORT sighted to lock in profits now.
And hurt themselves more in the process if they do
AK was very clear BT is transforming, huge upgrades to come on cash and divis to keep getting better (rather than decline as was anticipated)
DZ has a buy for Bt and raises target from 160 to 190
I think theses shorters are so belligerent they're gonna attempt to tough things out! This could be atomic!
Think it may be static today with people locking profits in for the weekend.
