Well if they do farm out it's a multi bag but what is the probability?
Couple of k for a punt?
My Calgary has took a £7.5M ‘punt’. They might be worth a lot of money but that’s not punt money imo.
**£1.5M ***
what's it ? Thanks
Rookie - I think you'll find it's more than £1.5m. Mr Calgary has 75m shares and has bought between 1.5-7p. If his average is abut 3p then that would be £2.25M. I think it's probably more though.
Great point POC, I’m sure you’re right. I’ve just took 10% of mcap for a basic guesstimate but I had forgotten he was buying at multiples of todays price. 👍
I think the sp is ready for lift off.....IMHO-DYOR
Gamblers ruin, a wealthy investor can afford to take higher risks provided that weightings are adjusted. Some investors can underwrite their holdings with political risk insurance but the starting premium is £60,000 plus!
You keep talking about hedging Nigel but the principle of that is that someone else takes the risk, with an all or nothing share like border in practical terms I am not sure how easy or economic that would be.
Negative Nigel just wants to find faults.
I agree Phil. There was one jurisdiction where I was considering an investment and due to geopolitical risk I discussed a quote with a PRI company. As a smallish investor it was clear that the premium would not only be unaffordable but irrational due to the ratio of premium:investment.
As to the ankle biter, always study (and understand) negatives old fruit...
I completely understand the negatives. This is boom or bust like I’ve said many times, I’m not the one saying £2m+ and 10% of a company is just punt money.
Whatever scenerio you make up in your head to take an insurance a Out against a position in such a high risk stock would be totally unviable making your point completely illogical and just an attempt to be negative.
If you know so much in this area please provide us with a quote to cover such a position in BOR.
I have no problem with people pointing out negatives, to reassess from time to time is a healthy thing to do, I only have a problem with people who blatantly tell lies ...and I am referring to other posters many of whom I have blocked, not those currently commenting.
Christ Rookie, English comprehension not exactly your strong point is it? Read my post again.
To be honest I don’t really pay much attention to your posts because I just see the desperate negative spin you try and put in every topic. You made a point just to be negative and then contradicted your own comment by admitting it wouldn’t actually be viable to do so. Really good input mate 👍
Try again, I was not referring to the FI but a jurisdiction probably 9000 miles away.
May I ask, do you have a GCE or GCSE in English grammar? Honest question as I can simplify my posts especially for you, it's really no problem.
Funny enough I don’t negative nigel But I’ve done very well without all of that. Maths is all I’ve needed.
If you think that’s a sign of intelligence that’s where you’re struggling matey.
If you talking about something that has no relevance to a position in a stock like BOR and not even in the same jurisdiction why post it? the point you were really making is an investment of over £2M is just a punt really isn’t it.
Rookie1, Good Morning, As usual, it's Great post....ATB
Did you try BBC bitesize Key Stage 2 English? Really excellent site.
Haemoglobin is a protein in blood - you seem more of a clot.
Whatever moral high ground you might have had Nigel you have certainly lost with your most recent comments, I would maybe reflect on that.
Just trying to help, perhaps KS2 is a tad elementary but verbal reasoning is equally important to numeracy as an investor. A T/A type trader could manage perfectly well without a good standard in language.
Nigel- don't think you are trying to help at all mate, just being a tw*t really (as you already know) Your 15.5 post at 13.11 is absolute bloody rubbish !
Gus, the PRI meeting that I was offered was, as I have patiently tried to explain, was not a South Atlantic company but for another jurisdiction actually on the Asian continent.
Did not proceed after initial contact as only rational with a £500k investment which is out of my league.
Clear?
