However the CMA was likely to be less accommodating in future if greenwashing rules were being breached, he added, highlighting new powers the CMA is about to get, allowing it to impose financial penalties of up to 10% of a firm's annual global turnover.

Tradey
Id suggest youd better read the Governments documents that i posted, and realising your only looking for a view that suits your narrative, consider why a company rns is hardly the place to get a non biased view - a bit like yours as a commited fanboy.
The company clearly agreed, as i have explained to you, to further monitoring and legally binding documented agreements to mitigate further actions being taken.
Its in the governments papers and is quite clear and explicit, so best cease with the salemen spin lies and nonsense, most people can understand the decision and companys joyful lapping up the option, even if you cant.
They were not "exonerated" as you claimed, they took a deal to prevent further action in order to close the case down. As did Asos and George.
Are you still on the Peter and Jane series, book A2 or something?
In July 2022, the Competition and Markets Authority ("CMA") launched investigations into three businesses - including boohoo - to investigate green claims. We are pleased to announce that the CMA has now completed its investigation and has not found boohoo to have breached any consumer protection law. The investigation has therefore not resulted in any legal action being brought against boohoo.
Is that clear daytrade
Here you go daytrade, we know you struggle to read RNS. You will ofcourse recall right at the start of this process the CMA said that they wouldn't hesitate to bring charges. Have you checked Fashion United to see if they have updated their article accordingly. If so, could you possibly provide the link. Once will do, not seven times.
I told you at the time it was composed of partial and misinformation so I'm sure you will now admit you were wrong to post a piece of garbage no less than seven times
Well it appears that the three companies targetted had to agree to tough new standards in order for the investigation to go away - that would imply to most normal people that there was indeed some basis for concern, yet the regulator felt - as clearly did the companies concerned - that a legally enforcable specific agreement to improve was the most productive way forward.
Yet, once more, as expected, we have the same rampy clowns on here claiming "c9mplete exoneration" etc, which is completely false. BOOWHO asos and Geaorge wouldnt have had to sign any agreement if actually exonerated. And they wouldnt have had to "change" the way they make their clearly spurious eco claims.
They, in essence, were offered a 'pass' on signing a new tighter controlled agreement with future compliance monitoring, and all of the three companys couldnt wait to sign upto it to head off any potential further action should they have contiuned as there did previously.
"The undertakings secured by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) commit ASOS, Boohoo and George at Asda ...... to change the way they display, describe, and promote their green credentials, meaning millions of customers can expect to see clear and accurate green claims."
"All 3 firms must also regularly provide the CMA with reports on how they are complying with the commitments they signed – as well as taking steps to improve their internal processes."

A fairly futile existence as well Alex, with the permanent faux rage. As if on cue another pops up with some more complete nonsense
I wonder if daytrade will take the time to see if Fashion United have updated their article to include Boo's complete exoneration by the CMAz after posting the original misleading one no less than seven times.
Probably not
Alex,
Would you care enlighten on your earlier post?
Go on, suprise..
Na just carry on with the false claims
Stick to discussing the plus and minus of boo
"And as usual the trolls report posts in the background so my comment on the new super hero is removed, so thanks for reiterating."
I wish the reporters of posts could be known, actually. You, Trading4good, would stand out like a sore thumb as the most obssessive reporter of the lot. Any post whatsoever which does not fit your view mysteriously disappears.
BFD - it’s hard work being a troll. Login as X, make negative comment, logout, login as Y, uptick X comment, then comment that X comment was bang on. Logout as Y, login as X to uptick Y comment.
If
'consistent troll of the company'
Having made the Statement can you explain it?
My opinion that the comms of the company is poor, is merely my opinion, would hardly describe it as consistent or trolling
Totally Alex
And as usual the trolls report posts in the background so my comment on the new super hero is removed, so thanks for reiterating.
Jeremy indeed not, no open door that i can see, the truth will out and its then for Government and Public to decide, some are already doing so.
Thank you for your valuable opinion BFD and continued insightful opinion.
Your honesty is appreciated
a low sp and an improving macro, in my opinion of co****
what about yourself??
BFD … bear me to it. It is just so obvious it is pitiful.
SuperheroSam.
Joins on 19 March 2024. Invests in BooHoo. And becomes a consistent troll of the company?
I think we have all seen this pattern before Sam. My guess is we have another troll from the past with a new disguise?
Come on Sam. You’ve invested in BooHoo. What was your investment case?
Another manipulated up day (cough)
Tradey will be on here all day again no doubt.
Anybody need new Windows?Tripe glazed!
Greewashed cleared and all.👌
Raising questions about a share you are positively invested in makes one a troll in the opinion of another?
That really matters...
Mind blown
Nope this is about face saving from the CMA
Despite the claims from you and the other trolls, Boo have been found to have done nothing wrong after 18 months
It would be nice for you, the other trolls and the media to apologise for getting it wrong
Is this not about where you make green claims, they should be clear and accurate??
Companies not making such claims have nothing to be clear about.
This is not about complying with green credentials, merely about what you say about what you are choosing to do

Rag what will happen to Shein and Temu? Surely they can’t meet these standards?
