Interesting article published on Proactive Investors today regarding GLR, Star-Zinc, and Kabwe.
Looks like Colin Bird was interviewed and is quoted giving some information. It makes it sound like the deal between BMR and GLR to dispose of Star-Zinc and Kashitu is a done deal, yet it is still to be concluded. Note that GLR have already paid £50k to conduct exclusive due diligence.
The article also alludes to Zinc being sold in April/May of next year, which would suggest a plant at Kabwe would need to be operational by then. Interesting…
“So, on current plans, it looks as though cash flow from Star is likely to come through in April or May of next year.
Initially, mining costs will be low, since the lateritic material on the surface can just be scraped away. After that, the mining will get a bit more serious when Galileo hits the willemite ore that contains the bulk of the zinc since that will need to be blasted.”

There's no need to rub it in Bud. We all know we've been shafted. It's now just a case of whether or not JLP can remove said shaft without leaving any nasty splinters behind.
Bring thanks for that...it has been quiet on BMR front for a while and good to confirm all is not lost!!
Thanks Vig. BMR Watch wouldn't be what it is without Laffer and the rest of the Committee. Everyone is doing their best and progress is still being made.
plumbus, I think it was considered years ago but BMR decided they wanted to build their own plant onsite at the Kabwe mine. Maybe a costly mistake in the end?
Hey scottie. Yep all quite on the BMR front, they must be working to finalise this acquisition.
I see JLP are still working to progress Kabwe...
BMR Watch are trying to arrange another meeting with the BOD over the next few weeks. Perhaps if Colin is in the UK for the JLP AGM, we might get chance to talk face to face with him.
Why did BMR miss this opportunity for early production?
The option is being considered to gain exclusive access to a nearby zinc refinery currently under care and maintenance. This option would include refurbishing the existing refinery which significantly reduces the project time line to commence production of zinc. The tailings from the zinc circuit would be fed to a new constructed lead recovery circuit for the production of a lead concentrate. The final decision on whether access to the zinc refinery can be secured is expected during Q4 2018, failing which Jubilee will accelerate the construction of a dedicated zinc recovery circuit at the EPL Kabwe property.
Just keep up the good work! Any news....all seems very quiet at the moment?

that you should change the subject and not answer the question ? XD
that well known TV programme 'Would I Lie to You'
HO HO HO
Tell us all what time it is there in la la land XD
lol mike you're such a liar. If you was a member (with access to the discussion board) you would know that Stuee doesn't run BMR watch, and neither does Vig!
Liar, liar, pants on fire!
BORING! You're still banging on about my phone calls being fake. I have several of them recorded, so I can assure you they are real. I could also easily get a seat at the table with Alex so why would I lie about phone calls?
Just for clarity, I hold no personal details of any BMR Watch members, other than my fellow Committee members who are doing a great job at trying to make a difference... all for the benefit of people like you!
I would be very worried if I had given my personal details to the like of Veg and Bung. Has anyone seen any benefit yet from the action group?
As for you Bring, now the gloves are clearly off, you will know I was the first to offer a modicum of scepticism about your hotline to Ponzirelli. I was attacked by one or two at the time but gradually people came to realise over time that you are a fake with your fantasy phone calls most of which either contained stuff we already knew or things which didn't transpire. And you want me to give you all my personal details so you can continue the fantasy or something more nefarious. Thanks but no thanks. My new 300000 share certificate is framed on the wall as testament to the corruption, lies and inadequacies so endemic in parts of AIM.
LOLOLOLOL.
You know you're winning when the opponent spits out a load of sarcastic, crude, hateful bile. This is basically because they have lost the argument and attacking you is their fall back position. they have nothing left. Except of course that vanadium will soon be worth £1million per ounce and this time next year we will all be millionaires.
The problem here is we have read RNS's and believed what has been written. We have seen pictures of copper blocks sent to an investor, seen and read timescales to production that was sold to investors. All supported by the disciples of the top man that have come to this BB to help him spread the word. We believed what was said as they had 'dinner' with him, shared there 'private' telephone calls with us.
Guess what, it was all lies, and we were all shafted, good style.
Along comes AB, again with delusions of grandeur and we had a little bit of faith that all this might, just might, come good. Except this time, not only have we been shafted big time, the company has all but gone down the pan.
I, and I suspect, many others that put some hard earned into this company are finding it very hard to believe what is written here about how the good times might roll again, Telephone conversations mean absolutely nothing by way of convincing anyone. We have been there, done that and are still wearing the moth eaten t-shirts.
I find it very hard to believe anything will be any different in the future.
Well said, Danlaur. Some of us are spending our spare time, and spending our own money to run BMR Watch. We are doing it for the benefit of all shareholders, yet certain individuals choose to attack us for it. I guess you'll always get those that don't appreciate what you do for them.
And you're right, their opinions mean bugger all...
