....do we feel that suspension will be lifted? I recall someose suggesting sometime in June being a key date but I am bu99ered if I can recall who said it or why it was key. We do need to hear from the company soon otherwise I fear we have been led up the garden path again.....!!! I was much happier being on holiday!!! It meant I was not sitting looking at a monitor daring to believe things were happening. Now all I can hear is the ticking and tocking.
Yes it does. The problem here has been that we've previously been officially lied to then completely shafted. Then Borrelli took over!
Just google him and you will find out heaps. Bloomberg have alot on their site.
It’s the same useless Borrelli we have here, just looked at there website and there’s a photo of him.
There is an Alex Borreli working as chairman for expediator plc, same guy multitasking?
J99, should have seen yet another sequel to the Italian Job coming. The Iconic Ambulances, the hoard of metals, now you see them, now you dont, 2014 Borrelli shocker. Then the investigation reveals pockets of value, then more and more. Just spring some V on us, load up in eager anticipation, backed by some shady outfit with a moral compass. Then 40% gets nicked. As we deal with the loss the local banker shuts the door and tells us to ... off. Now we sit, suspended on a precipice, hoping that some South African salvage expert sees value in a rescue.
Every now and again I beat myself up on taking 3k out of the 5k I invested in Savanna Resources at an average of 2.5p which are now 9p. Shit happens
Hope that you enjoyed the trip away, sounds good. It kind of is a bit late though, all things considered. Cheers Bryn.
Yes, we have. Borrelli giving away 40% of future profits so easily, he deserves a good kicking. These kind of twats obviously have no thought for existing shareholders, so inflicting acute physical pain on them is the way forward. Lol.
Hi Eric - just back from my latest jaunt in Italy. Sadly nothing positive to report from BMR. As far as late - it is never too late to attempt to do something. I know of 90 year olds jumping out of a plane - perhaps they cannot afford the trip to Switzerland maybe, but those not looking for euthanasia can always have a go at something!!! bmrwatch. shutterfly.com is where the information is
We've all been taken for complete c*@s
I suppose because some, not all, know that there aren't enough measures in place to prevent them from getting away with it. It takes a certain character to perform so badly, behave so poorly, without conscience, and some of these AIM CEOs fit such a profile. Unfortunate though it is. No punishment. No need for them to change.
Cheers for the reply Bryn. Too late for me I fear, now being nearly 94% down, but good for others who have been less affected by the treatment and ineptitudes of both Alikhani and Borrelli. My average is massive, but shareholding small, because of the 10:1 dilution, and then we've had the continual slide since. I'm just waiting to see what JLP does for us, if anything. Borrelli can't redeem himself, nor does he appear bothered, and any moral man would have resigned on such a poor performance, in my view, but if others on the Watch need me to add my holding at some point, to help get rid of the little prick, then I will do. I'm totally fooked off with it all, to be frank. Cheers matey.
This must be catching. Following yesterday's latest RNS at my other dog share, VOG, shareholders are starting to revolt and form a protest group. What is it about these AIM directors that they can go on being handsomely rewarded for abject failure and treating their shareholders with utter contempt.
Sounds like too little, too late to me. AB has already driven the BMR bus into a ditch a few times and now we're hanging over a cliff edge. I doubt he's too bothered though, I think he's well in with the guy at the scrapyard. ;-)
Eric - it may achieve nothing, however, on my own I have even less of a chance of getting anywhere with the company and the money I have invested here. From what I recall the majority if not all were professional people with a decent amount invested here. The data protection act covers the data and the admins are aware of the details of that act. There is an open forum on the site which you rightly stated was a Shutterfly account.
I see. Aye, so really, a list of actual holders, to separate the wheat from the chaff if you like. Yes, I do remember the group, but didn't know who or what was involved, as I wouldn't join any group online back then, due to possible trust issues. Thought it better to be safe and stick it out on my own. Different matter now maybe. I think we've taken a collective battering, whether in the group or otherwise. Cheers Bryn.
As most long term holders will know....
As most.org will know I was one of the early members of the watch. My thoughts remain the same. I can whinge and grips on all the boards as an anonymous username.OR I could band together with like-minded folk in an attempt to retain a little control of my investment. Whilst joining any new group may be a little alien to people - watching my hard earned slipping away without trying is very alien to me. My recollection was we proved our commitment by proving our holdings to avoid the non-holders trying to create issues. All voluntary.
Thanks for info. I typed out what I considered to be a breezy reply, but it was then lost before I posted. Bah! A good idea originally then, the Watch, but now with the dominant and major shareholder being also our JV partner, it will be more difficult for any group of smaller shareholders to exert any power. We'd probably need Mr Bagga on the Watch. At the very least. I don't feel Borrelli will be as free to roam Zambia as unchecked as he was anyway though. JLP will be doing the hard work on site and I trust keeping close tabs on Alex, putting an abrupt stop to any of his potential nonsense before it has the chance to happen. Lol. That said, it would be great for us shareholders to be able to monitor and hold JLP itself accountable. Ideally Klue.
The original goals of the alliance were : - Give shareholders a voice with the Board of Directors. - Strive to protect shareholder interests. - Be a resource for pertinent information. - Motivate all shareholders to be proactive - voting on motions at meetings etc. Interestingly at the most recent AGM a few shareholders had put forward the idea of adding a shareholder to the board. Personally think AB just paid the idea lip service and would avoid outside involvement wherever possible. I guess overall the idea was to pool together every private shareholders shares and vote as a block in order to remain relevant to the decision undertaken by AB and the BMR board. Especially when decisions are being made to our detriment of which there have been many. Holding the board to account or at least trying. Private shareholders account for a much smaller % of the shares now in issue given that we've got JLP, Peterhouse Corporate Finance Limited, Borrelli Himself, Colin Bird and his co. Tiger Resources, Amazon Hill Ltd.(if they're still holding). Between all of them they hold at least 35-40% of shares in issue of not more.
Yes, I was just wondering what BMR Watch actually does or did. I suppose the merit or idea of it is having a shareholder representation that can actually meet with Bozzer outside of the AGM. Get some answers from him directly.
It was only formed following Alikhani unfortunately succumbing to Alzheimer's. Poor bugger. SP was about 1.2p in old money or 12p.
Didnt stop us going from 60p/share to less than 2p/share
Or a lock of Bozzer's syrup. Said curl DNA traceable to an Indian teenage girl from New Delhi.
