Wilmur will get rid of obama stinkin red tape on banks
Commence Secretary.
Good read ..uk is rich and will be looked after!
There is one indisputable fact. Frau Merkel's Germania exports £18 billion of cars to the UK annually. Also we export to them well below this figure. Will she do a deal? You bet your sweet bippy it is ALREADY signed ready! The agreements will be made on a country by country basis. no other arrangement is remotely feasible.
He has to be right sometimes!
I have read both articles John and both are very interesting. This latest one sums up what is happening and most definitely times are a changing. Are they for the better or worse? who knows? In the end, we all still go to work or enjoy our days if we are retired. I always thought the EU benefited Germany and its industry most of all. Are the powers in the EU looking at what's going on or doing an impression of an ostrich. Can Merkel see beyond her own borders? GLA and lets hope the changes have a positive affect on our SP! but I wouldn't bet any more money on it.
Torquay, here is a piece on Italy thats a little less heavy on detail. http://www.independent.ie/opinion/columnists/david-mcwilliams/david-mcwilliams-why-italy-is-the-next-country-to-fall-to-trumpism-35219512.html
Has risen nicely over the last couple of weeks.
You have made a very useful and informative contribution which I found a rather dense stream of consciousness for this hour of the evening but something that is probably worth reading again. When St Theresa said that "change is in the air" at The Lord Mayor's banquet last night, she was really hitting the nail on the head in light of published results by some of our recently established Bell Weather's. She must be referring to the fact that it is going to be necessary to put up interest rates because inflation is rearing its ugly head also that the patience of "savers" is being maintained by a not very strong thread. The glory boys are going to have to add the cost of money soon to their financial plans, the appetite for new funds is still there but lenders require an incentive to lend like higher interest rates now that the banks have enough people at the end of their hook. (Loan Book) Change most assuredly is in the air, it is going to be fascinating to watch the policy makers responses between now and Cheltenham. Good luck all...
I know we are down but I think its very encouraging how Sterling has rallied back.
Inflation in U.K. Eased a bit today which is a pity but pound is very resilient to make up Brexit stories Invented by elite to help them exit their trades , also good read on Forbes
Hey, things happen in threes. Brexit, Trump and all we need is Italy voting no to eu. 2016 aint over, yet!!!!
Put Dec 4th in your diary first. The Italian referendum has become hugely important to the euro and europe. A no vote, and it's no more that 50/50 now, and the euro will drop through the floor. I'm surprised there has been so little about it especially since the Trump win last week. Here's an article i read months ago that I thought was a little over the top. Not so sure now. http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnmauldin/2016/08/31/the-italian-referendum-could-result-in-the-death-of-the-euro/#60b0376c11da
Elections will strenthen pound next year
Share price is up almost 6% on the day and the best part of 40% in the last month. We were at 17c exactly a month ago today. I'm not sure how anyone could think there is an effort to manipulate the price lower through the LSE or else where. predictions back a month ago was 15c. If anything a bit of profit taking would be no surprise.
More messing around in the ISE The change the close from .2325 to .231
After so much pain Nice to see Shareholders on this blog getting there rewards G L A
I meant to say to give the impression of profit taking
McGee is right.. They are messing around with it in the ISE Dublin I do think there was end of day profit taking with 5 minutes to go.Delta Index dropped the bid from .23 to .228 and then .226. all the while it was trading at .231 on the LSE.
