U said ,fair play...Trump will get the economy going out of this slump and I think Obama sold out the ordinary working class hero in 2nd term to the college elite
... the first words of Donal Trump with the FBI Director...
Told ya. I travel the states extensively and everyone I talked to in the last year in middle America was hacked at spiders web of political meddling by vested corporate interests on Capitol Hill with Hillary being deemed a puppet. This result will rock Washington to the utter core and as Trump said he'll drain the swamp there which he'll do. It's not all negative folks ......America wants a fresh start, its core industries have been depleted and too many industrial towns have tumble weed.......let's see if Trumps Talk the talk can translate into walk the walk re the internal economy.
Well said Radar - spoken like an Irish Man... Now I really am off or my swing will burst my Gallases
Yes, but we are living in time a changing. The educated ruling class are under fire from the masses, sure not a bad thing but when you have a mind set that decides Brexit and decides Trump that surely is a sign of things to come. Palsey walsey get with change and words like that are good sound bites but when the rule of law and good ethics and the willingness to care for ones fellow man are put aside then its surely time to start watching out. Change is slow and at this time we do seem to have a global mind set that wants to change, that's fine but change to what ? A place where the weakest in society are not wanted ?
going now to give my ball a good thrashing - and I read my posting through I thought.
First there was Boris now we have Donald - just about says it all for modern "risk assessed politics and ELF and Safety." The politicians only have themselves to blame - we survived George Bush and we will survive Donald Trump who I am sure has a better understanding of good advice when he hears it. Who knows he could well be another celebrity who comes good in the end like Ronald Reagan AND he does not have to go to anyone to extend his overdraft. Let us hope that the crowd are not just following a man because he is wearing a big hat. Observes comments are hard to argue with but I'm sure "Little and Awkward" will have a go. Good luck all - am off to give my all a good thrashing - fine but windy here.
I actually agree with a lot of what you said BUT he has awoken the white mob that now feel justified but the election result to take action into their own hands.
Excellant read and couldnt agree with u more
Why all the negativity around Trump? One needs to appreciate that the media only sold the merits of the elitist clique that have run Washington for the past 30 years, putting forward this time the liberal, arch socialist Clinton to carry forward the equilibrium for another four years. Sure Trump is a nationalist and sure he will look after the US interests first and foremost. What that does that translate into: taking back jobs to the US; striking a tax deal with the corporates that sit with all the money they have accumulated offshore; getting rid of the illegals that have been allowed to flood the US and remove jobs from legal Americans; reject the immigration of radicals who have chosen to import terrorism into the States; get rid of the current Fed who have blown their mandates on QE madness, rates that have bordered on zero for 8 years and destroyed the logic of economics that should favor savers not spenders. Sort that out and you have a better world. if other countries figure it out they will get with the programme and benefit accordingly. The policies of the past 5 years are a failure and it is time for change. There is nothing to fear, simply adapt. Why will it affect Ireland or Europe? Only to get rid of the same type of politician and Central Banker that have left us all in a space that makes no sense. This is positive not negative. BKIR will not be going down in price....why would that be. It will go up if management gets on with its job of building and guess what, local assets, not international assets. Stop believing the media that is owned by the very elite whose time is over.
Surely you can find something better to do at 9am on a wet Wednesday morning
Wilmur ross will look after the economic side !! Were in business
Are you Donald Trump's father, son ?
World war? The insidious rise of fascism is not so insidious now. The only thing preventing that is nuclear weapons. If we go to war, well, thats it. However, on the assumption we are all alive and not nuked next year, well, the stability of the market thus far today is very reassuring to me. GLA
One thing Trump has said , along with plenty of other mad stuff, is that all the rules brought in to regulate banks will be scrapped. How can Yellin stay if he attempted to that. It will also bring an end to rate hikes in the US and most likely QE in Europe.. The knock on effect of electing this guy is just impossible to predict. I'm just struggling to find a positive . I guess Buffet saw this coming. He's going to find plenty of opportunities for his cash pile. Listening to Trump accept now. It scares the he'll out of me.
First, brexit now Trump. What is next?! EU break up?? World is gone mad!!!
Let's hope it censors him as you would expect. No idea what to expecting the markets myself.
5 states left to be counted but Hilary behind in all. It will be good morning President Trump. Don't rule out a potential recount in some of the early balloting. Our little share will probably nose dive now.
Immigration/ globalisation ..but wait and till u see trump fall in line like obama
Just one last thing. This is not good for BKIR because its not good for Ireland.
Ohio by a mile. Ahead in nearly every swing state. Going to wake up in the morning with no idea where the US is heading. Good night,
It's done John Trumps home and dry
Thats the big one. Clinton can still win if she win there. Have to make more coffee.
.. doing ok.. he talks loud.. he talks a lot.. but at least he is not a person of secrets.. wysiwyg..
DOW futures down 500 points in the last hour. Not to late yet but brexit all over again.
