Interesting what valuation did the have on it when the dock was trading at .39
Pension deficit unwind in Q4 to provide capital support Year-to-date, Bank of Ireland (BOI) has felt the negative impact of Brexit – falling yields on its pension deficit – more acutely than peers. Added to this, operating efficiency is not expected to improve over our forecast horizon. However, this ignores significant investment costs that will produce tangible benefits in the medium term. Taken together with rising bond yields and a halt to sterling weakening, this should provide a positive backdrop for Q4. We update our valuation methodology, incorporating a revised method of assessing deferred tax assets to our existing approach while also introducing a sum-of-the-parts valuation. We reiterate our ‘Outperform’ rating with a 25.1c price target.
Then they would realise we mean business
Dublin should try get eu hq for medical research based in London. Were English speaking so would be advantage ahead of Germany or France in terms of dealing with United States
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN1380GY Roll on brexit! London as the finances capital is being abandoned. UK plc is going down the tube
Mike pense is company ! Keeping an eye on donald and he will have none of it!
Cheers John Thanks for getting back. Did anyone watch the '60 minutes' yesterday. Jeez it will be a tough 4 years for Mike Pence.
With german and french elections next year and uk inflation spirralling...i think brexit wil be the least of eu problems at this stage ..yield good on the bond rates big plus also the 1.3 bill cocos paid off earlier this year is a massive plus ., no more ridiculous debt at riduclous rates
Anyone an interest in the bond markets. Massive change in the last week. BKIR will have a major benefit. No more cheap bonds for the ecb to buy but would it be true to say they are also sitting on a huge profit from the bonds bought already.
@equitrder. Difficult to find an overlay interactive chard for a share and a currency. I have a static one from a brokers report that i use as a guide. after that its a spread simple spread sheet. no real way of pin pointing what stg level = a share price because movements vary over a short time period. the relationship between both over the last 18 months has been extremely close and at the moment the trend continues. Bkir has pulled a little ahead though for now.
She tells the world the, "UK is open for business" bl00dy woman is a crackpot, more meaningless soundbites! UK government has lost the plot.

Ireland will be fine. All these companies need a European presence and now Ireland is the only English speaking country within the eurozone. The growth potential of Ireland is unlimited considering the square footage is almost half the size of the U.K. and the population is less 10%. At the risk of being called an ultra nationalist with Brexit and Trump Europe is going to curb mass immigration and Ireland is going to reap the rewards of getting a highly educated workforce. AND Mike Pence America's new VP has deep roots in Ireland. The others were only plastic paddy's this guy is the real deal.
Said a lot of things to get elected he was buzzed up Now he is elected I'm not sure the buzz is there any more
Not sure they will get 15% Also relocating is about more than tax
Sorry should be only 2.5% less than
Trump is suggesting 15% only 12.5 less than ireland. Not worth locating elsewhere for that
If US company's enjoy 12.5% here plus all the other benefits why would they repatriate for 15/20%
A please explain how higher inte rates make banks more profitable. The spread between market and retail rates will be much the same. Or at least it was when I lectured on Economics..
have you not heard of the Law of Diminishing Returns? US has a ridiculously high Vorp Tax @ 35% this leading to numerous invertions. Why do US companies jump ship and land up frequently in IRELAND where the rate is about one third. Unfortunately these extreme socialist view still hold sway. remember in the 1970 s the tax rate was 83% at the top and in some cases could hit 98%. Do you really want those days again. Ripe for evasion which is why we see Amazon, Starbucks etc evading as fast as they can.
All Trump will achieve by reducing the rate to 15% is more debt
Should fire everyone and this might to .40 plus..obama restrained profits, nice guy but policies terrible for working people in my opinion ..bill clinton got him relected in 2012
I see Trump supporters everywhere snd I'm not even in the US. To qualify they believe everything they hear and lack objective analysis skills. I think european leaders need to be careful; change could be fermenting.
.. is going to fire a lot of bankers at the Federal Reserve..
.. was. 11.19 some weeks ago.. now at 16.19.. DB. symbol.. not bad..
